Rogers in 2.73.405.5?

I was looking through the 2.73.405.5 update that modaco posted, and noticed:

in the build.prop file. I haven't looked through many Hero roms before (I have a sapphire), but I've never seen this.. Was it in previous roms?

I'm curious as well...

i beleieve it has someting to do with him getting his Hero rom to work on both magic 32B and Dream. Of course he never finished making it work with 32A as he moved on to other things..

Need new rom for mytouch 3g

Does anyone have or know where I can get a Nexus One ROM or any ROM with android 2.1 that will work with mytouch 3g 32B.

Just 2.1 Rom you don't need to say Nexus cause that is only the name of a phone and one of the LWPs.The 2.1 launcher not Nexus since it will also be on another Samsung coming out.

Looking for a GOOD Custom ROM for my myTouch 3G!

Hey there.
I've just had my phone rooted the other day and have a Custom ROM that my friend gave to me for download and I'm just looking for another GOOD ROM
for my to try out.
If you have one, or know of a good one that would work on my myTouch 3G,
please comment with a link! :]

I guess ill say this before someone else does which magic do you have???
do you he 32a or 32b version???
also the forums here are filled with ROMS depending on what you want to do with your phone no rom is perfect do you want an everyday ROM or do you want a new rom that you will have to constantly upgrade?
Also what radio and or spl do you have

I have a 32B =o

I'm running superd, since your pottery noob, you'll want to stick with either superd or cyanogens roms, their easy to upgrade with the cm updater.

Help me decide wich mytouch to buy

So i have a g1 rooted. But i want to upgrade and have 375 dollars to put towards a phone. can you root the new mytouch 1.2 and are the roms for it worth it? with the extra ram id like to run a sense or espresso rom, but if they are not 100% i do like cyanogen roms. Is it worth the upgrade ? and should i get the 32A phone since it has more ram? will all of the mytouch / ion /magic /saphire phones work on tmobile 3G???

well all mt3g 1.2's are 32a but not in the tradtional sense your used to.
Yes you can root it and run most roms that you were running on your g1 they have been ported. I am running a 2.1 no problem as for sense ui no idea i hate those roms but i believe they work just fine.

cool thanks, now im not afraid to get a 1.2. is there a thread or a link you can share with me that tells you how to root a 1.2, i know its not the same as the older ones

[Q] 32b drivers on 32a magic.

My brother just gave me his HTC magic but it lags extremely badly and he told me he accidentally put on the 32b drivers when his phone was a 32a magic.
Is there any way I can put the 32a drivers on?

You forgot to tell us anything about your phone (besides 32a).

It's running the 2.2 cyanogen mod.

Unless you're running 1.33.0013 spl then you need an eb1 kernel.
That's all you need.
If you happen to have 1.33.0013 then you stick with 32B roms. Nothing more to be done.

I think that maybe either you or your brother misunderstood what needed to be done.
Typically, the drivers don't need to be replaced to increase performance. If it is done, it's done by the developers of the particular rom that you have installed. Optionally, you can experiment with different kernels, however it has little to do with drivers. It's mostly floating points, extra ram boosts, etc.

so he must've meant he installed a rom specifically meant for the 32b magic. In which case, which kernels can be installed to give the phone a performance boost?
