Has anyone found out how to change the text message alert on the exec.
I can do the ring tone but not the message alert?
Start -> Settings -> "Sounds & Noifications" -> Notifiations [Tab] -> Event: "Messaging: New Text Message"
You can change the sound, add vibrate, display a message and get the light to flash.
Been there several times and have never seen the Notifications Tab Doh..
Thanks for the quick answer Dave
Hey guys,
Searched the entire forum and HTC's manual but couldn't find any info of how to enable a Ringtone and vibration for incoming text messages at the same time. By default my device just rings and mostly times i can't hear it in my pocket. This creates a big inconvenience for me, in fact that I have to check my phone for incoming text messages all the time.
Is there any setting or app i can use to fix it?
Start > Settings >Sounds & Notifications> *switch to notification tab* > *scroll to Message: New Message under Event > you can enable vibration for new sms there.

Hi,
It may sound a bit silly, but is it active in the settings?
Settings -> Menu -> All Settings -> Sounds and Notifications
Check that 'Programs' / 'Notifications (alarms, reminders)' is ticked.
Check, under the Notifications tab, that Event: Reminders has the "Display Message on Screen" option is ticked.
yep this worked, just found it before your post, how would this option have been unticked i didn't do it. could software install have caused this.
I'm using interruptions option set to "priority only". In interruptions settings I've enabled "events and reminders" and "calls" options to act as "priority interruptions", and disabled only "messages".
Now when I add a new event to Google Calendar with "Pop-up" notification my watch doesn't vibrate on incoming events. My phone vibrates, a pop-up dialog is displayed in Google Chrome but there are not notification on the Android Wear. When I set the interruptions mode to "None" I also receive notifications on Wear.
I think this behavior is incorrect. The watch should vibrate on new upcoming events with "pop-up" notifications. My watch is LG G. Could you please suggest some solution how to set this watch to vibrate on new events from calendar in "priority only" mode?
Any suggestions?
Looking for a way to have separate tone for text/sms and for other alerts from email and various apps. I've found that you can go into your contacts and change each individual to have different alert tone than your default but this seems to be insanely time consuming. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Each app will have its own settings.
Phone:
Phone app > MORE > Settings > Ringtones and keypad tones > Ringtones
Messages:
Messages app > MORE > Settings > Notifications > Notification sound
Gmail:
Gmail app > Settings > [email protected] > Inbox sound & vibrate > Sound
You get the point. Look in the settings of the app.
