Did not seem to happen straight away after flashing.
But now, my calls drop-out like clockwork after just a few minutes.
Anyone else experienced this? What did you do?
Help?
Should I go back to a Factory ROM???

How would you like people to reply to you?
Where is your signature which would give details on the system and device you are using?
ROM? Radio?
and why start a new thread? there is a perfectly flowing thread on R8 RIGHT HERE!
jeez.
The problem is not r8 for sure.
I use r8 since it came out and no problems like this at all,
Probably some app you installed or some tweak you made
Hard reset will solve it.
same here
same here, using r8 and no problems whatsoever...

I am on a Polaris forum, I am running Udk Diamond R8 (as per the thread title), If you use your brain you might just get close to figuring out what I am running.
using a brain is somewhat of a rare quality. but do as you said and read the rules before starting new threads please.
there is a dedicated thread to R8. you can ask the questions there and search for answers.
cheers
I had a similar problem and flashed back to the original ROM and back to r8. All fixed.
It started after I flashed the Syrius r0 which worked well for a while then crashed for some reason. I then flashed back to r8 and did a restore from SPB Backup (I had saved previously when running r8) the signal strength was crap, and the calls dropped out. Tried all the radio roms, and the problem only fixed after flashing back to HTC ROM and the reloading r8. I will wait till r1 comes out before trying that again. Anyway I am back with r8 and the radio is 1.58.21.23.
Hope that helps you.

Hey guys
I Have rom 1.43 from UK, and I saw that a new upgrade is available to ROM 1.48, should I upgrade or is the 1.61 rom soon to be released.
Please advise as I have so many apps and its will take hours to get everything back, so it worth upgrading to 1.48????

I'm at the same point as you, just downloaded the new 1.48 ROM but don't know if I should wait.

Nobody knows...
Nobody knows when the 1.6x rom will be released. Nobody knows if you find it worth the effort... Nobody knows if you have any issues with the current rom and whether it will be fixed in the new version.
Sorry if this answer comes across a bit harsh, but how can other people decide for you if it's worth the upgrade. I don't believe there are any major changes between 1.43 and 1.48... No one knows yet what will be fixed in a 1.6x update, and when it will be officially released.
There is a turkish/WWE version floating around which appearantly has the camera fix included but I haven't noticed anything major in that one either.
Then again, using Sashimi and pimbackup flashing a new rom isn't that much work afterall (the only custom stuff I have to do is setup email acount and some shortcuts...)
So perhaps it's an idea to look into Sashimi which is a real timesaver when you flash roms often.
you should get spb backup, makes ROM upgrading so much easier, I upgraded from 1.43 to 1.48 in minutes and without having to reinstall anything

and then you **** up all the new rom with the old registrys and program files. nice one using a backup of old rom in a new.

Sashimi takes over the reinstalling part as well and didn't have very good experiences with SPB Backup in the past. Perhaps it's better now though

Not really, SPB Backup has a "new ROM" mode. I don't think it screwed anything in my upgrade.
Best thing to do is use windows myphone and then make sure your micro sd is out. Installing apps doesnt take that much time anyway (well it depends how many you have!) Always best to set it up again incase anything comes back across
I also have 1.43 but I am not upgrading so far, because everything works well for me. If there's need for an upgrade - do it. If not, don't In the new rom, there are no new features as far as I know.
I'm in the same boat but am waiting as the only real problem I have is the SMS lag (No i will not disable the sense UI as I like it!!), and not getting any voicemail notifications, and these are not directly addressed in the 1.48 update so i'll wait and hope....

People making all kind of magic "registry cleaners" also do think they are doing right, useful and harmless stuff.
Clean installation is the only way to have confidence that *everything* will work *as intended*.

it has a rom upgrade mode, works a treat every time
Personally I am not going to perform any ROM upgrades until SSPL is available.

Have you complain to HTC? I have email them already, I think we need more people bugging them
Are we all blind?? But 1.61 has been "released" That is one of the offical WWE roms coming from HTC.
Simple answer, If it isn't broken don't fix it
There aren't a lot of bug fixes in 1.48 or 1.61, some minor speed increases in the latter but I'd wait till 1.65 or whatever is due after 1.61. (1.61 doesn't include the SMS fix..the next patch will though)

Anyone else have this problem?
I flashed Dutty's newest ROM on my HTC pure and after a couple hours, ran Zenkin's cab that disables HTC's messaging.
Did that, no problem, WM messaging is up and defaulted..
Here's there problem:
I cannot send/receive any sms!
At first I thought maybe it was because i skipped some steps in the whole "disabling htc messaging" process, but I can uninstall the cab and everything works again.
It doesn't make any sense lol can anyone help me out?
Did you reset your device after installing?
Well yea of course lol
its better ask in duttys rom thread you might get better answer...
sure solution is to reflash rom then hard reset then install zenkins mod if this won't help its probably problem in rom.

Hey guys
I couldn't find a previous thread about this.
In any 6.5.X build i tested (2311X, 2365X, 2356X), in the Manila Mail Tab:
After setting up an account and syncing it the first time, the preview won't work anymore.
Meaning that "Send/Receive" will show you the "green number" on the top right, but the mail previews are not updated. Can't swype to bring them up either ...
Only changing tabs will "update" it
Never noticed it before myself honestly until a user pointed it out
Anyone who's got an idea?
Grtz!
Hi there!
Ive attached a small video to show you the behaviour. This happens with all new mails i receive. Deleting messages works, the mail tab updates itself.

+1 for me guys
Im trying Artemis v14 right now, lets see if the bug is there also.
EDIT: Damnit, its there, the same bug.
EDIT2: Just tried the Energy ROM, it works there! Its the same windows build than DsE Black Edition v8, but i think the manila version is different. Its 2.5.20121225 in the Energy ROM...

Rookies!
What version of Sense is Artemis and the other ROM running ? I doubt this is a windows build issue. It very much seems like a Sense issue.

Go crying about Rookies, hehe!
Yeah, seems to be a sense issue, cause DsE uses 2.5.2012.1412...
Weird thing though NRG
Same Manila with 21903, no such 'bug'
Same Manila with any 6.5.x build, it occurs.

Hm maybe some kind of "combination-bug"...only occuring with 6.5.x and sense 1412...
But it works in the Energy ROM as i said.

Well, personally, i would like to see this. Cause the mail functionality is one of the most important things on my device. I know that manila, or sense, is based on many packets for album, music player and mail which are cooked into your ROM right? Maybe you could use an older mail version? If not, i would prefer an older sense version. At least until a new sense is released which fixes this bug. But its your ROM, therefore your decision .

I've rolled back to many previous manila mail packages, no luck
I'll keep trying to fix this without having to rollback Manila as a whole, coz i'm sure there'd be something up with that too

Nope the UDT base is 21903 and working correctly...
I'm cooking more tests now, perhaps a manila rollback is necesary for my 6.5.X builds, will see
Hint!
Hi guys!! I 've found a possible wayout! I am using Dutty's ROM HG 2.6. When I removed the Documents Tab that I had previously installed through cab the mail tab worked fine!!! So....I hope this is helpful.

Hmm, worth a check init
Hm ok, didnt work for me. Tested it by just disabling the documents tab and again after a soft reset. Maybe its because of the files installed by the cab file? epapas could remove them, i cant cause they are cooked in.
Maybe you could cook a test rom without the documents package?

Ok, ill report back as soon as i flashed it and got some infos!
EDIT: Just flashed v8 maniless and guess what, mail tab works. So it seems like its the document tab causing the issues. Or at least one of the additional tabs from manimore.
Whenever I have a text comming through, my HD2 lags a bit until the message is here. Any help would be appreciated.
*I am using the stock rom with the 2.13 update
the stock roms are pretty laggy throughout the whole phone. I know I had the same issue as you had. I suggested you flash a custom rom onto your phone if you are worried about the lag. I can tell you from experience that after a while you want to pull your hiar out, luckily for me I barely have hair to pull
ok thanks. What rom are you using?

i am using an energy ROM i used a couple others but to me this is the most stable and doesn't over do it to the rom like some of the others. don't forget you need to put hspl onto your phone before you flash custom roms
If you don't want to flash a custom rom try deleting your text every so often. Don't let your text threads get larger than 200. It can slow the phone down if it has to load that long thread every time you get a text.
