Hi,
I want to upgrade ROM to HTC sense. I went to official site and entered my phone's serial number to download the upgrade. But they say, Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device.

Reason for upgrade: Currently I have sapphire-user 1.6 drc83 (i don't know if it is the ROM name). I need flash support in web browser so that I can enjoy flash videos and see flash animations. Also I need a rich,faster and smoother system. Must to be compatible with all the present android software in android market. All the hardware feature must work properly.

Hello all, just got my magic and i kinda found out that i must have the hero rom.

Decided to make a new thread instead of posting in the Htc hero ROM thread since i need info about both how to install it and how to prepare the install and it can be abit hard to read trough 10 pages of "thanks for the great rom" and "... is missing / not working".

Depending on what version you have, but if you have a Rogers this is the guide I used. Very easy to fallow, if it's not a Rogers I think you can still use the guide just use the proper SPL for your phone. And this is the ROM I used, again for the Rogers branded. Hope that helps you out.

I managed to follow the steps posted in this guide to root it and fix the perfected SPL problem. I installed a custom cooked ROM with Arabic support but had a problem with WiFi not working.
Now here comes the stupid mistake I made (I am a noob I know ). I installed this RUU file. It's Etisalat Official ROM. It has arabic support too but doesn't have google market. Gmail is also not working (WiFi and data services work, but gmail won't sign in).
The problem with that ROM is that the version is that I am back to a perfected SPL again. Only this time my ROM has version 2.56.494.7 which is a higher version than the Sappimg.zip (or Sappimg.nbh) files I used to root the Rogers ROM, so it fails to install. This is why I feel like a big noob installing the Etisalat ROM.
So what I need is a version of sappimg.nbh or sappimg.zip with higher version than 2.56.494.7 that doesn't have a perfected SPL or any help or tips to solve this problem in another way.

I have a HTC MAGIC 32A and i can't download The offical HTC Magic Sense UI Rom. When I Use serial code it said it is not suitable for my device. So can any one please download the file for me and upload it on megaupload or rapidshare?
I really like Sense UI a lot more than android home.

Yes it is european, the phone is rooted, and the software version is 1.5
Then go for a custom rom and not the RUU.
Have you flashed your boot and radio to the latest version ?
If you like 1.5 .. get CursorSense with SenseUi

Both require new boot (1.76.2007) radio (6.35.xxx.xxx)
I am a bit afraid to update radio and boot. Besides I never actually thought of updatigng them( Im a Newbie). Is it safe? More or less?
Share your phones info, EVERYTHING in the fastboot menu and we'll help you. It's easy to update the radio and hboot as long as you follow instructions.

If you ever plan to use a custom rom you can kiss it goodbye that RUU upgrade has a perfected spl so you will be stuck on Stock roms only.

Okay so I installed custom rom with 2.1 Sense UI, best looking theme I ever seen, just needs a bit optimisation. Thanks for all the help

would be the official SenseUI if your phone is a 32A
if your phone is a 32B, i found no link how you can get the official rom without a perfect SPL
but if you install a update from www.htc.com, you will never be able to install another rom EVER....so pay attention

Ok, i understood, but i said that i actually have perfect spl with 32 A, so your tutorial would be well. Can you tell me if that tutorial needs root. And what version of android will i have after i will do this tutorial?
oops, i missed that sentence..but please post the full SPL version, there are perfect SPL's that can be fixed with a goldcard, and there is also a perfect SPL that cannot be upgraded...
also, i would suggest you a stable rom like SuperD, it's super fast and has nearly no bugs

Since I bought my HTC Magic (from Vodafone in Portugal) I updated it to a new official software version which is this:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT-1.76.0009 (SAPPP10000)
CPLD-12
RADIO 6.35.08.29
However, this is a perfect SPL. Now, I want to root and flash my mobile and I can't. I followed the steps in Rooting the SPL 1.76.0009 thread and got an error.
So, what I was asking is if any of you has any old official update of HTC (the ones which you update just by pressing next a few times on your PC and it does it all for you) that will downgrade my mobile to any previous version so that I could flash it from there.
