Display Contacts as FirstName LastName

Does anyone know how to change the Contacts display as FirstName LastName rather than LastName, FirstName?
There is not a single option to change this.

This has been asked a lot of times try a search for 'firstname lastname'

the solution i found was to use outlook contacts to change the "display as" to how you want it. its much easier to manage with outlook aswell.

There are other solutions, that's not the right one.

PPC contacts should take care of that.

where to find it?

Contac Pictures?

I was wondering if their is anyway that i could Put a pic on all the Contacts i call the most or the ones saved in the Today Screen. What i mean is like Having a pic of their face instead of just saying the name.
Any ideas?

Use PocketCM, it gives you the pictures that you want, a new intercface adn it's extremly skinnable.

if you are using outlook for you contacts just go down to edit then change photo

if you go in to the contact list...find your contact...and then edit their information, there is a section that says "Picture"...just click on it and choose a picture you want to have show up for that specific contact.

contacts on quick links

hi all good people,
I would like to have all my "People" contacts details from phone on quick links. Is it possible to do it and have them all instead of my favourite 15.
I've searched on forum but couldn't find anything. I'm sure that someone already asked that but I just can't find the answer.

Can you explain what you mean a little more?
It sounds like you're simply trying to a contact as a quicklink, but I doubt that because if you've added programs then you already know how to do this.

You want ALL your phone contacts on your home page quick links? or People quick links?
I don't think that's possible. It's called favourites for a reason!

Go to add a quicklink, scroll down the programs list and find the one called "People". It's the "All People" page from the people tab.

And I still got my favourite 15. I dont want to add People (favourite) icon on today screen, I just want to change and everytime when I tap on Today I would like to open my all contacts list (is a little bit more in my contacts than 15)
I think MrMagicMushroom was right, It's called favourites for a reason

Am I missing something here? Do you want your contacts as a quicklink? If so, click on an empty quicklink>program and select contacts

Mass Texts

Has anyone figured out a way to send a mass text to their contacts without remembering each individual phone number?

twitter.. use seesmic or twitdroid or the like.

Sms barrage works for me. Auto suggest contacts like a regular sms message.

Type the first 2-3 letters of their name and it will show the drop down with their name. click their name and it will fill it in.
Or you can get Handcent SMS. It has an icon on the top left that you click and it gives you a checklist of your contacts to add to the message.

after i read your response in a similar thread, i realized my contacts weren't labeled as mobile. thanx for the help!

CM7 And "Me" in messages

Hello everyone I have tried searching for this but cant not find it. the one link that I did find returned a dead page.
What I am asking today is in reguards to CyanogenMod 7 and messaging. I text a lot and find it annoying that the "Me" in messages does not have my picture in it. Before I went from stock everything to CM7 I had the ability to edit me contact card and this allowed my pic to display for my messages sent. But now I can not find out how to do. I was told to do Settings > Call Settings > Additional Settings > My Phone Number but I do not see additional settings.
While it is not a big thing it does annoy me as my OCD kicks in and I see received pics of the contact but an android bot as my pic. Can anyone help me out with this.

I'm not sure if this is the right way or what, but it's pretty easy. Just create a new contact using your own phone number. Name the contact 'Me'. Then select a picture of yourself to set as the photo for the 'Me' contact. Save your changes. Your picture should now appear in the text mesaging threads as the Me contact.

I will try this to see if it will work, but that will last till my OCD kicks in when I try to make my contacts look better LOL.
Will post back if it does/does not work.
Edit- Thanks k2buckley that did it. Appreciate the help with that. But having "Me" in my list will bug me in a bit I am sure. Stupid OCD LOL

It should work. I use that method on every AOSP rom I've ever used, because I also hate seeing the blank spot on the 'me' contact. Should work no problem.

My text has my gmail picture....I think I uploaded it to latitude once and it got associated with gmail.
Anyhow, you should be able to add a contact pic to your gmail and it will show up.
My phone also has the same picture in my contacts where I have put all my information for myself. I didn't associate it with this contact, so it must be done through Gmail.
