cook your own rom = no sync

installed a cook your own rom of 2003 the other day and after a few syncs active sync now doesn't detect the xda at all, the xda thinks theres a usb connection but active sync can't see it, anyone have any ideas on how to fix this
i've already tried reinstalling the HTC dock

Hi, yesturday i faced the same problem, after a soft reset everything is ok now.

I have the same problem with active sync. I did a soft reset and it does work. . . but the screen on my Siemens SX56 comes out of the soft reset with HTC SAT running. It is a blank screen with a couple of rectangles. If I close this out then active sync stops working.
Any ideas?

Make sure you delete your old partnership in ActiveSync. May be too obvious, but not always.

Delete the stk.lnk from your startup folder and the annoying HTCSAT will no longer be an issue. You dont need this to use your device. Just causes problems for people. Try it. Also, see my post about your ring volume problem. http://www.xda-developers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2205

HD2 - No Sound from Earpiece

Hi,
From some strange reason I've suddenly got no sound from the earpiece (speaker is ok). Sure it was working ok yesterday
I really hope this isnt a hardware fault. I have only installed a few extras like Task Mangager, Net Framework 3.5... I wouldn't think that this would cause the problem??
Havn't done a hard reset yet, as its all set up... but might that help?
Am about to cry, so any help would be greater appreciated.

If it's not a hardware fault, a hard-reset should help for sure.
Maybe thats the easiest option you have. Becuase then, you can set up every application you want to use step-by-step and check for earpiece-funtionality after every setup.
This way you'll be able to detect the "bad" application which silences your earpiece.
Well, if it's a hardware fault you'll know right after the setup-wizard

I'm now trying to do a hard reset to resolve the problem.... but that dosn't seem to work!
Held Vol UP & Down buttons down (as best as I can) and tapped on the power button.... nothing. How long should you wait...?
Do you think 02 would have removed this reset procedure in their ROM?

Did a hard reset by leaving the phone on, pressing the vol up& down and then putting a paper clip on the reset.
I REALLY want to cry as this did not fix the problem. Been onto O2 and it has to go back... really dont have a clue how long the repair/replacment process will take.
I dont think there is anything else I can do. Was working fine yesterday.
But if anyone knows better then would love to hear from you.

hd2 did a master reset by itself and bricked itself.

I pressed the I.E to log on here funny enough,when suddenly my hd2 did a master reset by its own accord. A full master reset not a soft reset. How can this be even possible ?. This is crazy doing it by itself. After a while i tried setting up my internet again when it froze. i did a soft reset and now its stuck in load up(blue o2 screen). tried taking battery out and in and several soft resets but same. help.

are you sure you havent tried flashing a custom rom recently?

Thankyou for the fast reply. My hd2 is still basically standard. No roms flashed ever. last thing i downloaded was yesterday which was win office 2010 update on market place. phone has been fine all day.

started working again. i saw that somehow only had 11mb left on device memory. it was 90mb a few hours a go. i started looking into win and what suddenly swallowed my memory when it has self master reset again. Going to call it HAL from now on lol. Im just leaving it on charge at moment.

Just a quick update.. I managed to beat hal to it and do a master reset. Seems to be working ok. Even opera working again. I think it was the app i downloaded from market place. All i can think off.

screen size of games on hd2
hello... i had a brief search in thease forums but couldn't see anything on my issue... appologies if i have overlooked it... i was wondering if there was any way to increase the screen size of some games i have on my hd2... they appear at the top left of my screen and look like they would be more comfortable on my old se k800i screen...
if anybody has any answers to help me then it would be much apprieciated...

this is the most unadequate place to post this question, probably it's a case of thread hijacking, anyway those would be games programmed to specifically work on VGA screens, there's no way that I know of to make them work in WVGA, because they just don't know how to

Problem with HTC Titan, it dosent respond to the 3 bottoms

Hi I have recently bought a new Titan, everything works okey, then I update the phone to 7.8 stock by zune.
Do a hard reset (since my friend is going to use the phone. And after that the 3 bottoms "back", "windows logo", "search" and "camera" dosen´t respond.
When i press the bottoms then the the phone vibrates but noting happens.
I have tried a full reset many times bud it dosent work.
Have tried both on my friends account and my own, any ideas? i cant restore the phone to previous settings beacuse zune says that the phone hasent been configured get?

It sounds like something happened when you hard reset the device, if the buttons were working before the reset. I would try flashing the shipped Rom and see if that helps. Good luck!!

Volume button problem Cubot GT72

Hello everyone !
After I tryed all night all options I decided to ask you about some advise or trick how to fix my problem.
I bought Cubot GT72 before 2 months. Its still new and everything works fine till today ( actually yestarday ).
The phone is with Android 4.2.2 , its rooted. I was listening yestarday music on the headphones and I wanted to make lauder the music with the hardware button and .... not working. First I thought that the phone needs restart or smothing , but after restarting the volume control with the hardware buttons Up and Down was still not working. Then I decided to make factory data reset so to have all my factory settings back. After factory reset still not working. When I press the volume button Up or Down - nothing happens. Can you please help ? What can be the problem ?
The phone never fell, was working fine all. Is it possible this to be because of some setting which I changed at the hidden menu or something else ?

If you changed the software and even did a factory reset this issue may be a hardware failure.
There are 2 options (if you like to do it yourself):
- open the device and clean carefully the hardware contacts (isopropanol, maybe some contact fluid)
- check if there are contact errors by heating/freezing the phone (of course not to much!!)
