Loop in startscreen - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM Development

My hd2 loops in startscreen, htc appears, then the rom and radioinformation down left and then it restarts and again and again, but only with synccable, with only battery it is dead. Nothing happens.
Now i´m able do get the bootloaderscreen (rgb and white) and usb-connection and flash everything I want, with the same result as above.
I flashed stock rom, originally o2-rom, radio-rom only a.s.o., same result, htc-screen with radio and thats it, restart.
Is there anything i can try before sending it back to htc?
The bootscreen says:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-1.42.HSPL XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x30
so HSPL is installed, and usb connection works.
The explanation why i got this problem depends on voice command, i´ll tried to change some files, because the speech was too fast to heare it.
Is there anything that i can flash, thats really helps?
The next problem is, that i can´t boot the orinal rom from sd-card, because without cable nothing happens, and with cable thres is only usb to flash.

Nobody there with some instruments that may be only technicans use? Clean the complete ram and rom and what else is there? Or is it a real hardwareroblem that can´t be fixed?

if you have hspl you could flash a ROM using customRUU from the bootloader i think. Have you tried a hardreset (hold volume up and down and reset button)? i had the same problem but for me switching the phone off for a few hours (i didn't have access to a pc) it booted up and i flashed a stock ROM. its a bad rom flash thats the problem. once and if you can get it booted be sure to follow the instructions on the mtty thread or flash a stock ROM before each and every custom one.
EDIT : Haven't read it properly. seems worse than my problem. simple thing are you battery contacts good and making a proper connection? Only other thing i can think.

Try MTTY with your device.

is a battery problem?
excuse for my poor english....
I think that if you can not flash your HTC HD2, I think the problem is in the battery.
If the battery is discharged below 50% you are not allowed to flash.
Instead if you start flashing when the battery is above 50% but during the operation the battery falls below this threshold, the flashing operation stops generating an error (usually error 220). This is due to the fact that the device is not recharged during the upgrade radio.

Problems after flashing original TMO-Rom (flash type 5510BCAD)

Hi there,
I´ve got a problem with my HTC HD2 after flashing the original ROM T-Mobile:
"ruu_leo_tmo_de_1.72.111.4_radio_crc_signed_15.32.50.07u_2.07.51.22_2_ship"
Bootloader has been flashed with HSPL2 to "SPL 1.66.HSPL" to run task 29 before flashing the rom.
The problems after the rom-flash are:
- cant call or be called
- g-sensor doesnt work
- no audio playback at all
After powering the phone a gray screen appears, telling me the following:
flash type 5510BCAD
power reason 1
BOOTUP_W_PWR_KEY_PRESSED
After some seconds the phone continues to boot.
The phone shows the folowing data:
Bootloader:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-1.66.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x40
Anyone knows of a solutions for this or is it a "warranty"-case?
Help would be really appreciated!
Kind regards
Martin
I have never come across this, but the first thing I would be inclined to do is a reflash, it may well have been a dodgy flash.

HD2 not booting after rom install

Hi all ^^
I'm new here, and I just received my HD2 and wanted to flash it with one of the cool ROMs you have on this forum.
I flashed the HSPL with HSPL2 and everything went smoothly. Then I downloaded one of CleanEX DSE Core Rom (the 6.5 Maniless FRE) to be precise.
I flashed it, all was good, at the end the phone rebooted and i was stuck at the boot screen written "HTC CleanEX UDT DsE Series". I thought maybe it was because I didn't do a hard reset yet. So i did one, everything initialyze and when it's done same thing, the phone reboot and I'm stuck at the same boot screen...
I'm starting to get a bit stressed out because if I can't connect to Activesync I can't even put an original Rom or an other twinked one ><
Does anybody know what I did wrong or why it's not working ?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
PS: My phone is a french phone.
radio - go back and reread that roms thread for recommendation, however 2.07.50.x or higher should do it.
boot to bootloader, connect usb, flash radio, phone will now boot
Connect your phone to PC and turn it on while holding volume down, bootloader menu should apear (red, green, blue, white) then you can run Rom flashing tool on your PC
but i recomend flashing newer RADIO because this may be the reason for your current issue.
That was a really quick and effective answer !!
Thanks a lot to both of you !!!! *hugs*
its seriously the radio

I tried to install HSPL but unfotunately it stops & my phone is not working. My HD2 hangs when HTC logo comes. I also try to copy stock ROM in SD card whilst pressing voldown & power keys, tricolour screen appeared & says:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x40
Then the phone hangs.
Could anyone tell me what is ROM flashing tool & what version should I install.
Please help me.

are you flashing the ROM on a different micro sd card? you cant use a 8GB or 16GB. Try a smaller card like a 1GB or 2GB.
also rename the stock ROM to LEOIMG.nbh.
put that ROM file on a smaller card and go into bootloader should come right up. worked for me when i had to re-install stock to return defective unit.

Series of unknown problems

Hello everyone.
I am using my HD2 for a year almost. Last few months I am on Androind NAND, HyperDroidX version, worked perfectly for me. HSPL version 2.08 is there too ofc.
Few days ago, when I pressed button on him, and wanted to unlock it, screen just stayed black, buttons flashed. Ok, can happen, I put out battery (for reset), placed it back, turn on.... and only white screen appeared. No that standard message "HTC brilliant" or whatever is default screen on these HTC phones.... just PURE WHITE screen is there, and nothing is happening.
Ok I thought... I ****ed up software somehow (altho I dont know how, cause as I said, that all happened few days ago, and I didnt do anything recently with my phone, didnt instaled any new program, or so what so ever). Entered bootloader screen, connected phone on USB (got normal message that I got new hardware), and wanted to do TASK29, and than flash everything again from begining. But, doing so, TASK29 just stayed at 0% for a like 5-6mins, and after it there was "ERROR [262]: Update error" showing. Suggest me to do "recovery process", which I did, didnt helped. I googled about that error 262, found out a few things... than, I tried doing TASK29 at my 2 other friends comp's... 1 is on WIN7, other XP. Reinstaled ActiveSync/MDMC, tried to do it... and same problem happens. Changed my USB cable, same thing. Tried to flash anything else, tried to flash RADIO, new ROM... but nothing... all the same error as with TASK29. So, nothing is wrong with TASK/ROM/RADIO files, nothing is wrong with comp or USB cables, cause I tried it on other comps/with other cable as I said.
Only thing I can instal (or flash, w/e is that "method" called) is HSPL. I reinstaled it without problems, and that's the only thing I can do on this phone atm.
My friend later also suggest me to do "hard flash" (dunno how its called, so I call it "hard flash" ) of STOCK ROM, and with that operation also remove my HSPL, so if that works, than I can easily later put HSPL again, and try to flash custom roms.
So I tried that also... formated my 8gb SD card... dowloaded stock rom from official website (with my S/E number), unpacked it, copied RUU_signed.nbh onto root of sd card... changed name into LEOIMG.nbh... placed sd card into phone, entered bootloader screen, pressed "power" key... but again NOTHING is happening, no instalation is starting... there is just standard bootloader screen staying on. For any case, I than again formated again my sd card (FAT32 it is, 4kb allocation), again done same, copied, placed card, tried to start flashing, and again nothing.
Well, I am far away from being pr0 about this phone... but I think I tried almost everything. Anybody knows what can cause these problems??
Why I cant "normal flash" anything from 3 different computers where I tried it, why it always stays on 0% (and if I didnt said, I did alot of flashing till now, all were going just fine till now)?
And why I cant even do "hard flash" of STOCK ROM, and remove HSPL?
And ofc, what all I can do to solve this problem?
P.S. Sry for wall'o'text, but I just wanted to explain everything about this problem. Hope somebody help me find solution for this.
Tnx in advance.
try this and do the complete wipe thing, see what happens:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1187292
you can also try task2a and then try reflashing.
also check for bent/misaligned battery pins.
also report here what the bootloader says (would be a bunch of numbers in the top-left corner on a red-blue-green-white screen).
you might want to try the "freezer trick" as well.
@orangekid
I read whole post, but atm I see only pictures, I dont see any file to download, and I dont know what to do there?
@ASCIIker
Battery is ok... I charge phone normaly, think battery is not problem.
Bootloader screen is this:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x50
And "freezer trick" is what? (as I said, I am not full pro about all things about this phone).

The guy removed the file for some crazy reason.
"freezer trick" is to compensate for overheating mainboard issue some HD2s suffer from.
1) put your phone in a plastic bag and put it in the fridge for 15 minutes.
2) take out and try to flash stock ROM again

just to be sure, i'm not talking about the battery itself or the battery's capacity. have a look at the battery PINS to see if one or more might be bent/misaligned. if you meant you charge it "normally" and rarely remove the battery, then you're right...probably pins will be ok. but have a look at the pins just in case.
the HSPL information seems to look good. and by your own account, HSPL is the only thing that flashes properly. try another thing...try to flash ONLY a radio ROM...see if that "takes". if it fails with this also, might be a "stuck" radio problem, although the few accounts i've read about stuck radios indicate that the flashing goes through to 100% but the radio doesn't really change. (BE CAREFUL TO FLASH THE CORRECT RADIO VERSION IF YOU HAVE A TMOUS HD2)
freezer trick is what orangekid said. sounds like a long shot but it has been known to get things going enough for you to restore stuff to a factory state and possibly send it off for a warranty claim.

To further clarify the TMOUS radio thing, if you have a TMOUS, DO NOT flash a radio that ends in .51 or an early release eu radio (2.04.50 etc.)
Just to be safe don't flash any radio under 2.12.50 because they pretty useless to you anyways.
Took look at battery, and its pins... all seems rly OK. Dont think there is problem.
Tried to flash RADIO only... again same thing, struck at 0%. (nope, I am not on Tmobile version.... my version is "standard", and I tried to flash 2.15.50.14 version of RADIO (same I used long time for mine HyperDroidX Andriod version).
Now, if I cant do anything else... tell me... is there ANY way that I can kill my HSPL, and turn it into "regular" SPL, so I can use my warranty on this phone, cause I have it still?
I read somewhere (dunno if its true), that I can "overwrite" my HSPL with regular SPL with "HSPL3_PKG" file that can be found here on forum. From manu, dont choose HSPL 2.08, instead of it choose SPL 2.08.0000 instead? Or something like that?
If I cant do anything else, at least, is there a way to put regular SPL, and take my phone at my service?
Hspl4.
Its in the winmo upgrade forum
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
I rly cant belive anymore.
Dowloaded HSPL4, tried that... from manu I choose 2.08.0000 instead of 2.08.HSPL... instalation was going fine, finished succesfully, I clicked OK... but after restarting my phone, NOTHING has changed.
Entering bootloader screen I can still see same:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x50

This means there are no more solutions? :S
just for the hell of it try a different micro SD, format fat32 then try stock ROM flash again (make sure no typos in the LEOIMG.nbh)
Did do that 2 days ago... but nothing happened again.
Was pissed alot, and took my phone to the warranty service. Luckily, in that service there are uber-nice ppl, and they just said they wont even look at that HSPL.
Guy there said it's probbably some problem with motherboard, and phone is sent to hardware service.
Tnx for responses and help anyway.. hope all passes good.

HELP: Phone wont start!

I need help. I wanted to install android on htc hd2, i previously had WM 6.5. I formated sd card and put Android rom folder on it...run clrcad.exe and haret.exe. It came to black screen with some text, last line was something about jumping to kernel. It was there like 15 min, i pulled the battery...now it wont start...what to do?
When i plug in the usb it boots up to htc screen and then again shuts and boots to htc screen and keeps going like that.
Bent battery pin.
i now have another problem, i installed magldr 1.13 and now its stuck on htc logo screen...only can pull out battery and go to bootloader...i had radio 2.xx.50.xx...all the text on bootloader is:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x30
what to do??
Go to tricolor screen. Install stock winmo ROM and make sure the phone boots up fine, etc. Then you can start messing with it again. Note - if you install a stock rom, your hard spl will be replaced.
Did you check the bent battery pin idea? And also, may want to try the thing stated above, but use a custom ROM.
Oh, and may seem obvious but you are holding the power button down when trying to boot MAGLDR right?

htc hd2 white screen error 270 image corrupted

Hello guys I have a problem with htc hd2 who had installed a rom ics4.0.4 of nand.
Practically not use it while you are stuck on the lock screen, then I disconnected the battery, I did it again and is no longer stopped at the white screen WITHOUT htc logo ...
If I enter the bootloader I have the following references
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-8G 2.08.HSPL XE
CotullaHSPL 0x05
0x30
I tried to do everything from task29 to flash rom is from pc to sd renaming the file but nothing went past 0% .... usually I get the error 270 that says image file corrupted ....
The phone changes the word from serial to USB when connected to PC in bootloader mode cmq but I could not unblock this situation in any way, either by removing the stock rom and renaming the file to install it ...
Can you give me some advice?

i had almost same problem yesterday (while installing stock rom from sd) and the phone could niether boot, nor install stock rom.
i reflashed in order:
hspl2.08 (from hspl4.exe on pc)
radio 2.15.50
stock rom
everything i flashed was using the pc
i think it's a spl problem but i'm not sure so try reinstalling it at your own risk
Ok thank You i try today to do it
Inviato dal mio MB860 con Tapatalk 2
I tried, I installed HSPL2.08 apparently with success, after I booted the installation of the radio but it is successful, or stays at 0% to 4% or crashes
I have the same problem, I tried everything but to no avail, you did something?
did anyone solved this problem?
Any progress on this? It's driving me nuts...
