Have read so much, but I just don't get it
Have tried many combinations ROM'S , SPL , IPL , radios .. everything !
But still My phone won't see my local network ( roamming ) ..
Phone in Comm Manager keeps turning on and off , trying to catch the network .. this happens with all the roms I have tried ... including the original ROM and radio
When I put the sim card in .. phone says that its not possible to register my network , and if I want to set another operator ..
Someone with a clue ??? Is it possible to be a hardware issue

I'm not really ana expert.. but maybe your device isn't SIM-Unlocked.. check this to unlock it..

Yes , but maybe its lock in a "wierd" way ...
Cause when I have seen SIM lock devices ... It's a different story and in most cases you get SIM not recognized Alert or something like that ...
Gonna give it a try ...

This generates an unlock code ( wich I have ) but I'm never ask to type it ..
Another possibility, the device was stolen or lost and it's network locked.
a similar problem happened to me also ... it was the problem with the sim card.. i changed the sim its fine now... why not u try that.. know not this is the solution but u can give it a try..

The phone (radio) keeps turning on and off ( COMM MANAGER ) .. I dont mean mean the hardware ..!

I have this problem too. Selecting the network manually helped a little bit, but not completely

i get the same problem tbh, and i use 2 sims, one i can check the status of in at work (work for a big UK mobile phone network)
i think it is something to do with the radio version, cos i use 3.34.90 aswell and thats when the problems started for me i believe
have u tried downgrading the radio version?
as this seemed to work with me
it may also bve a good idea to check with your network carrier to see if there are any cell mast issues as that could be a cause.
(sorry in work mode now lmao)
hi, i had the same problem. first i couldnt write contacts on sim, then losses of signal, but sudden, i lost all signal.
i replace the sim an now works fine.
try to clean the phone, in the inside, it has some contacts to the antenna. i did it and work fine.
replace with new battery

try to run ´deviceinfo´ package that´s here ... somewhere.
if it shows mcc+mnc info empty than it´s not unlocked

Yes, u should try device info if it shows mcc+mnc info empty than it´s not unlocked
if not than
can u tell me ur radio version (i.e.) 3.34.90 is come with handset or u upgraded
if u upgraded than downgrade to 3.21.90
3.21.90 has no bugs a good one i have also downgraded to it

where is this info for when mcc and mnc are populated with no radio signal - this would really help (Sorry If I am being lzy and not searching - I may do later but football is on!)

Is it possible when u have NOGSM error that the IPAQ can view wireless networks so actually radio module works? (wi-fi module)?

to get it straight
man listen :
there are different modules in your device
1. GSM/phone
2. GPS
3. WIFI module
4. BT module
5. etc
depends on device if you have one of this or not, on the 6915 you have them all, and you killed the GSM one ! of cours everything else will work fine, cause it has nothing to do one withanoter

Did u really flashed the Radio.nbf on 6915?can u put as atachement those files exactly u used for flashing...?i want to try them myself , too.

maybe u don;t have the NO GSM ERROR. maybe u just need to run the unlocker

and my phone make restart by itself at 90 %
when i try to flash the old rom that i had it b4 i mean this one (AP Touch)
the phone restart at 1% and my pc tell me error 244 invalid model id

Plenty of people have made the same mistake trying to put a SPL3.5 rom on SPL1.2
Usually the invalid vendor id means that at bootloader you can't see athe100

Can anyone help me they said that it could be a software problem with the unlock

try a hard reset if a soft reset does not fix it
sounds to me like a radio flashing went wrong

Did you try to install anything ?? or did you try to do any ROM upgrade (if you are familiar)
How did all these started ?? give us some details & we might be able to help you
Also can you turn phone on at all now? Can you enter bootloader screen? What does your SPL say?

You could always put your phone into bootloader and flash a radio

You flash a radio the same way you would flash a rom. First of all you need USPL or HSPL on your device. I recommend you read these threads for guidance:

Available Blackstone Radios
I would start with radio 1.14.25.24 as this is latest blackstone radio

You have a vast choice of roms to use, either stock roms direct from HTC site or from the wiki here or cooked roms from this forum
Would be impossible for me to recommend one as everyone is different and your tastes may well be different from mine. Also you have different windows versions, i.e. wm6.1 & wm6.5. All I can say is try a few and make your own conclusions. At present I am currently using Throys WM6.5 R9 rom

ok if I was your support guy for your problem I'd need more info like
1. What unlocking software and from where did you get it?
2. what network are you on?
3. where in the world are you? (geography can be a problem)
4. what rom did you flash to?
5. (this is where I check in 6.5) in settings, connections, connection setup what does it say?
6. in settings, phone information what model does it say you have ?
with luck giving us this info might give us an idea what has happened

The original one from HTC the last one(1.57.831.1) i tryed aother ones 2. but the problem started before i tryed to flash any rom for first time.

You may find that the phone is stolen and phone networks have blocked the IMEI Number this maybe why you donot have any reception
Try asking your Network phone company if this phone is blocked
I Already call and no its not blocked by imei

ok, when you changed rom did you use USPL or HSPL? What does your SPL say?

Hi Jagan, I used the network utility cab and could finally resolve the issue of operator name not appearing on the screen.
Another issue that i have noticed since day one is that a small triangle sign (denoting roaming) is constant on the screen even when i am in home network. If I insert any other sim card, it disappears but reappears when aircel card is inserted. Please guide / suggest actions for the same.

I bought HTC ELF0101 2 years back and from last 6months not able to use as it has overwritten an IEMI number 00440000350111201 and not recognizing airtel network after i flashed phone last time. i still not able to recover my original IEMI number. if i see device info from device_info.bat it looks fine. but if i see from *#06# then it has invalid IEMI number.
Can anyone please help me out to restore my phone this is my first HTC phone and its not working now

You have an ELF, not an ELFIN.
what did you try to flash the ELF with ? As far as I know your IMEI number will not change if the board has not been replaced. Did you try to get the phone repaired by a 3rd party ?

Yes its ELF or you can call HTC P3450. This phone was bought from one of my friend from US and had windows 6.1 in it.. everything was fine until i flashed it using some different ROM for windows 6.5 later it was coming in tricolor mode and was not able to boot. Again i installed windows 6.1 which is downloaded from XDA developers website.
Now phone is working fine without having any problem but thing is its not able to catch airtel network, later i came to know IMEI number has been changed and if i see phone details from WST its not showing processor and other information.
This is wat has happend apart from this i have not given phone for any kind of repairs.

Moderators can you please close or delete this thread as i am not finding any answers and dont want servers space consumption because of my thread.
Here are a couple of suggestions :
Try flashing the "Unbricker Rom".
If you want to send it for repair and the warranty is still active:
First restore the Splash, Radio, Rom, IPL , SPL (Order is important) of your device to the ones it had when your friend bought it.
Send it for service - They will probably replace the motherboard for free!
If you want to try something by yourself:
Try reading here.

Tried this one but no luck ..... My IMEI still remains the same and not catching airtel network...
Can you connect to any other network at all? Do other sims work on the airtel network, or any other network. Does you sim connect to airtel in another phone?

I have tried it with Airtel, Hutch and Bsnl Sim it recognizes sim initially but once i configure and restart the cell it just shows searching network. Same sim is working in other phones.
I remember this happend when i installed windows 6.1 last time. dont remember exactly.
