if i have my HTC blue-tooth headset on and the screen is locked, after a varying period of time i cannot unlock the screen.
it is completely unresponsive. the only way it will operate is to turn off the blue-tooth headset.
anyone else had a similar issue?

When my touch dual is connected to my bluetooth headset, it causes the screen to be constantly on (rather than going to sleep).
This causes problems for me because when it is in my pocket, things are accidentally touched on the screen.
How can I stop the phone from staying "awake" with the screen on when it is connected to a bluetooth headset ?
Thanks
press the power button for it to shut down the screen ?
Thanks but I should have mentioned that when I press the power button, it turns off then just turns itself straight back on again.
unknown problem, but i know niki will turn on inside magnetic field. try if you're not holding anything magnetic close to the screen?
niki seems to think you slide it open when magnets come close to the device.
Did you ever fix this?
My AcerDX900 with winmo6.1 does this too and it's killing batterytime....
Hi guys. First post so I'll try to be brief and explain as best as I can. Here's the scenario.
Phone is in shirt pocket screen is off, phone is locked and bluetooth headset is connected. The phone rings, I answer with the headset and complete the call ok. Now, when the other person hangs up, my phone screen stays active in my pocket and ends up getting all sorts of menus activated.
Is theres a way to turn the screen off immediately upon call completion?
Yep. Me too. Ony complaint I have with the phone. Have to take the phone out of my pocket and hit the end key to turn off the screen. Never had this problem with all other HTC touch devices that I have had with countless custom ROMs. Anyone help.......Please.
Try PocketShield. It will replace your WM lock screen and will offer some more possibilities (auto lock after call ends for example)
Thank you very much
On my old Tytn II, there was a dedicated power button which I can use to turn off the screen during a call with the BT headset. But with the HD2, it depends on the proximity sensor to turn off the screen since pushing the power button will also end the call. When I am using a BT headset, the phone leaves the screen on and this poses problems as I seem to be able to accidentally bump on the END call screen button when I leave it in my pocket. Is there any solution to this?
hi,
i use aebutton on the hd2, the program has an so called 'action menu' wich can be accessed by a keypress. one of the commands available is to turn of the screen. its a bad workaround i know, but i didnt find anything better to do this. another thing is that proximite sensor is still active. so if you blank the screen and the sensor detects that you are moving the device away from your body, it switches the display on again. the keylock feature is not used when in phonecall.
mad.
*EDIT:* maybe pocketshield is also a solution.
Hello everyone
I'm having this weird issue with my Nexus 6P (which is afaik on the latest software version) that I did not have with my LG G4 when I had it.
Basically, when I play music from any app (Spotify, Soundcloud, Poweramp, etc), I can't control the music when the screen is shut off and the phone is unlocked.
Let me clarify: I set my phone to not lock automatically when I turn off the screen. I like it that way; there's a 1 min waiting period until it actually locks.
Unfortunately, in that 1-minute waiting period I cannot:
- Adjust the volume using the hardware volume rocker
- Cannot adjust the volume using any sort of headphone control
- Cannot pause or start the music
Until the 1 minute period is over and the device actually locks, or I just turn on the screen and unlock the device.
But this has been very inconvenient, so I want to know what I can do!
Thank you all.
I have the same issue here. It also effect (probably unsurprisingly) control over BT from car radio.
I dont seem to remember this always being the case, only since the last security update I think.
Same issue here... been that way for a week or so now, quite annoying. Restarting the phone doesn't fix it.

I'm getting this too. Anyone find a fix?
Hello, I have the same situation, basically my workaround was to enable the fingerprints setup and have the phone immediately lock with screen off. Then instead of pressing power I trained myself to unlock using either indexes. It is quite fast.
The volume buttons will work off screen only while the phone is truly locked so no smart lock with Bluetooth either; screen off but unlocked doesn't work. I also have problems while driving and using Maps off screen, probably for the same reason.
I filed a bug report with Google, there are a bunch of people with the same problem but this isn't fixed in the monthly updates. I haven't tried the android N preview Good luck!
Sent from my Nexus 6P using my Squid.
Having searched the forum I think this is an old topic with no real solution, however...
When I connected my P8 Lite (B612 Marshmallow) to my bluetooth speaker (Anker) it works well until the screen switches off, at which point it doesn't fully disconnect, but inhibits the signal, making audio unlistenable. The very moment I turn the screen on (while the phone is on the lock screen and I haven't yet entered my passcode) it goes back to functioning properly.
Is there a fix for this? Is there a bluetooth "process" that is being stopped when the screen is off? If so, how do I stop that happening? Thanks!
Am I the only one? ?
