audio and head phones - Nexus One General

OKAY I have a problem. Sometimes the sound doesn't transfer to the head phones and they stay on speaker. I was wondering if anyone was experiencing this.

okay after restarting the phone everything works fine now, but I am wondering why it was acting that way.

Slow and stuttering bluetooth on X1

I've had an X1 for a couple of days now and I must say I'm impressed with it. I had a diamond back a month or two ago and I ended up sending it back due to teh awful battery life but teh X1 doesn't seem to bad.
Problem that I am having is that I seem to have very slow bluetooth transfer, With my nokia N95 I get about 100k a sec where as teh sony is barely doing 40k. I initially thought it was just a slow system untill I connected it to the head unit in the car this evening. When I paired it to the hansfree on the Alpine head unit all seemed fine untill I went to bluetooth audio on teh head unit and tried to play some music from teh handset, it does work but seems to stutter, it plays a second or two of music then stops for a sec then starts again. It constantly does it.
Anybody else having this issue? Is there a setting to alter this?
Any help would be much appreicated. I've done a search and I can't see anything about slow bluetooth.

Headphone Jack Stops working

Hey all, I know a lot of people have had problems with the jack doing goofy things, however my problem is a little different. I'm having an issue where i'll be listening to music just fine on my headphones, unplug them, a bit later plug them back in and it no longer plays though the headphones. It will play though the external speaker just fine, but when you plug it in, you head music for about 400ms then it goes silent. Upon rebooting the phone the audio will work again. Sounds almost like a software glitch but not sure how to fix it. The HTC support rep suggested a "hard reset" I really don't want to do that, but it may come to it for testing purposes.
Anyone else run into this problem? I would really like to fix it without wiping the phone.
No headphone problems here my friend. Good luck.
Just a heads up. The evo can sense a mic'd headset inserted or a standard 3.5mm headphone or aux cable. When it senses a standard cable it will run off the headphones and let you do commands or talk trough the built in mic. I had a "headphone" issue that many talk of with diffent things poping up or music not playing. All i had to do was push until I heard a locking click with the headset and with the standard headphones I have. Everything has worked great since then

Bluetooth Communication to Head Unit (Metadata Problems)

I have any issue with Metadata transfer ( Contacts, Station ID, Track Name, Artist, etc...). being communicated to the head unit display in my vehicle. It is very hit and miss. I would say 25% of the time it works properly. The other 75% nothing or my screen display will get stuck with say... the previous track played.
Anyone else have this issue? I have a Sony head unit. It works perfectly fine with my m8 and wife's 2014 Moto X.
I'm having bt connection issues with my vehicle bt system. After pairing, it will connect/disconnect over and over. Once in a while it will keep the connection, but usually it disconnects immediately. Other phones have worked fine with this car. Very frustrating. I'm going to try re-pairing to see if that helps.

I also am having the same issue, I tried re-pairing twice today before work without any result. One thing I have not done is update my head unit to the newest firmware, not sure if it will make a difference but will be my next step.
I have yet to have any of the data transfer to my head unit since receiving my phone. Will keep on researching and see if I can find out anymore details that may be able to help us out.
Try re-pairing. My Honda factory head unit had issues like mentioned until a re-pairing finally stuck. And update firmware if possible. Sucks but bt is still finicky in cars.
Hi all, I can also add my Ford focus (2010) touchscreen navigation unit to the trouble list. My previous devices worked fine but the music information from Google play music doesn't show onscreen. I've made some calls using it and listened to some music but the info never shows.

Ive spotted an entry on motorola's forum HERE. Looks like possibly a known bug??
I too, have a strange bluetooth problem with my car but it has nothing to do with metadata. When pairing the device initially, the bluetooth works great and the songs play clearly with metadata properly displayed. After leaving my car for a while and returning with my phone in my pocket, bluetooth is supposed to automatically resume playing when the car is turned on. It does, but the resulting sound is horrible. The bluetooth system kind of skips around the track and plays the songs very choppily. The only way to fix this is by disconnecting the bluetooth on my phone and reconnecting it, but I don't want to do this every time I enter my vehicle. The system worked fine with my Galaxy S4. Does anyone have a possible solution?

Is it continuous or does it stop skipping after a few seconds? Occasionally mine skips erratically, I'm guessing buffering then corrects itself. Every once in awhile I have to manually connect after turning off my car.

It is continuous. Only way to fix the skips are by reconnecting manually. Doesn't correct itself unfortunately.
Hmm the only things I have noticed are that it takes quite a long time to pair and it doesn't like to automatically start up spotify. Occasionally the track data will not come up right but unlocking the phone and opening the music app usually fixes it. My GS3 with lolipop had the same issues though so I am thinking it may be more of an Android issue than a device issue.
We have Moto's attention on this bug. Please head over to the Moto Forum https://forums.motorola.com/posts/b7b030ee52
They want some Bluetooth logcats. So they can fix the issue. Thanks!

Garbled/distorted audio through Bluetooth

Hi there,
i was wondering if anyone experienced same issue happening to me with my Nova Plus. Random garbled/distorted sound only through Bluetooth. This happens only for voice calls through bluetooth, during each conversation random the sound is distorted, recovers and distorts again. it's impossible to keep a normal conversation. streaming music through bluettoth is fine though with the same equipment. i experience this issue so far in my car and with my bluetooth headphones.
I will try to re-pair them again but it's too much of a coincidence that two devices got bad paired. Hopefully that's the only reason. Any other suggestions i could try?
I'm not concerned on my Nova but I was on my old Samsung Galaxy S5 on custom ROM. It was a kernel related issue if I'm not wrong. Hope it will be fixed soon. As for me on my Nova I have an issue with audio like podcast that doesn't play. These Huawei phones are attractive ones but definitely not ready for daily use. Weird
**Update**
So i have an update on this. i've noticed that whenever i receive a call from my headphones or being in the car my phone is on wifi. yeah i know i got my own wifi following me everywhere . anyways, i tried and disconnected the wifi being on my headphones and received a call. no more distorted audio. have to check that in my car as well.
any update on this issue? I just got the Nova Plus. I like it but this bluetooth audio issue is making me unhappy

Microphone issue with very bad static noise

Hi all,
I bought a PX5 radio marked TOOPAI. The Android version installed is 10. The internal microphone has a very strange behaviour.
The issue with the microphone is that the sound is very bad. If I try to use the mic app from Android to test my voice, the gain meter goes out of range and the voice is all very bad static...
If I reboot the unit the problem is fixed, What can it be?
The unit does not shutdown completely when I switch off the car. It goes into a sort of sleep mode and when I switch on the car again (even the next day) the units starts immediately and the microphone issue is back again.
Thanks to everyone that will help!
No one with ideas? Thanks!
I have exactly the same problem also with a PX5 unit. I don't suppose you had any luck?
Im currently dealing with the people I bought it form trying to sort it. Just to post what has been tried and not worked so far.
Internal and external mic have the same problem so switching does not help
I updated the firmware on the unit that was supplied by the seller and still no luck
I have recorded the audio with and without the problem and sent it to seller. They seem to be having some difficulty playing the MP3 but im hoping we can work out what the problem is.
