The file : \Windows\PPST.exe does not exist! when doing a hard reset and letting custom run..... WTF? I dont have the tools and or knowledge to modify the OS part of the system...
Additionally correct me if im wrong..

[Q] IMEI Location on SGH-I337

Hey guys, my imei is reading 0 and I am trying to locate were it is stored so I can restore it. I checked the efs folder and took a look at mmcblk0. You guys have any idea were it could be? Perhaps it is on an encrypted portion of the chip that can only be interfaced via external hardware. Anybody have experience with this?

OK cool that actually helps. I don't know if I have any hope of repairing it, but at least I have something to work with now. I ran the script and will take a look at the files to see what I can do. I have a working s4 I can compare it to.

Just check in the Update Section of your Settings. When you are not able to update from a local file then you have the Balong Bug.
Oh okay, I was just wondering if there is a way to check ?

If you go to settings about phone and it says
Balong c50b311 you got the bug
No, when I look at "about phone" it doesn't (it says C432B564), Balong is mentioned in Aida54 under "board" but when I look at the TWRP backup folder I have a folder with my serial and inside that a folder with date, hour and at the end BalongC52B311. That is why I was wondering about the bug. As you know I tried to copy the backup to my comp (to be on a safe side, since my Hi Suite backup doesn't work (it hangs on getting data).

What your phone says is the most important.
balong is sort off the name of our chipset and i shouldn't be to worried if it appears in your backups. it'sjust data and not system anyway so.

it doesn't matter what your backup says... it says "Balongxxxx" because of the board... it says similar in my backup too... what really matter is what does your build number say on Settings>>About Phone>>Build Number...
in your case, it says C432B564 then you dont have BalongBug...
P.S. i think "BalongBug" is good username... i've already used it in few of my accounts..

you can't update your device when you have it...
If the build number shows BalongC50b311 then you have it..

Not apps but the Android system.. You can't update via OTA, you must flash to other versions to update /upgrade

Do anyone of you have an idea of what this process is?
Attached a screenshot:
