Yeah. You search the forums and they tell you how to enable pinch to zoom in any application.
To help, search for BsB Tweaks.

I think neither BsB Tweaks nor Zoomer work with Internet Explorer
Any solution guyz!!!!!!!
Always if ppl ask for Pinch to Zoom they mean real Pinch to Zoom, not the faked one.
Real= like in the HD2 embedded Opera
Fake= like the one from BSBtweaks, Zoomer and stuff (zooms just in on the screen, no word wrap adaption for example).
I would like to have it in IE as well....
I think you will find that IE in Windows Mobile 6.5 does not do pinch and zoom. Interestingly enough IE in the Zune HD does do pinch and zoom and this has led to some of the speculation that the Zune interface is a possibility for Windows Mobile 7...
I cannot remember where I read it specifically - google pinch and zoom in IE Windows Mobile 6.5 and you will find all the feedback on this.

ummm isn't that registry key the exact location(s) where apps like bsbtweaks and zoomer do their magic? i.e. this registry key is responsible for the "fake" pinch to zoom.
to recap, the only REAL pinch to zoom i've observed on the HD2 are:
opera 9.7 (opera 10 only gets the fake approach)
album
native sms (when viewing a thread)
word and excel
notes
adobe reader
(and maybe a few others)

exactly thats why i think its possible, cause in the WhiteList folder u see two folders. one for the ie6 and one for the htc album.. and the album got real pinch to zoom like u said that was the only point why i thought about that

Hi
I know that pinch & zoom normally doesn't work in all programs and that if we want this we need to add the key on the registry, but today, trying this program
http://www.megasoft2000.com/product.php?product=PocketClock Pro&division=ppc
I see that I have pinch & zoom without editing anything.
Why some programs yes and others doesn't?
might be associations with the pinch to zoom function, apparently, P2Z works in windows environment, and thus pocketclock is using the same base as windows/other apps with p2z making it compatible
i dunno really, just be happy
Hey everyone!
Is there any way to enable multitouch in Opera 10? The HD2 comes with Opera 9.7 and it has multitouch (zooming). The newer Opera is much nicer looking and the browsing experience is smoother, but with no multitouch it's not half as useful as 9.7....
I agree. I'd much rather have 10, but not without multi-touch.
I did try Zooomer, but it didn't work. Besides, it's not the same kind of zooming that Opera 9.7 has.
I'm interested in this too.
Opera 10 doesn't support smooth zooming in the way that 9.5 and 9.7 did. It has only has two levels of zoom: zoomed in and zoomed out. There is nothing in between. So what would you expect pinch-to-zoom to do? I guess you could make it switch between zoomed in and zoomed out states, but a single tap already does that, and is much simpler.
There are multiple zoom levels in Opera 10, in the setting you define the "zoomed" in level.
I would imagine a true or "native" pinch to zoom, would toggle between that level of zoom, from 60-140%...or whatever the levels provided are.
I could use pinch zoom too. Yes, clicking is fine. But some sites have just too big fonts, and some sites just too small.
zoomer works quite well in opera 10...now if we could just get flash working in there i would be happy!
No text reflow, no pinch to zoom, no flash...
I'll keep my 9.7.
on my case i want vibration notifications and the ability to use back button on it

Hmmm, I got text reflow and pinch to zoom (As well as tapping)...but no flash. Try out zoomer, after a practise run...its alright!
Can you share the cab(s) you used in 9.7...everytime I use one it messes up my browsing and I need to reflash...also...if the flash is seperate, can you upload that too? I liked the one I got with my hd2 before I flashed it haha
the single touch zoom is a better zooming device imho, its quicker and easier.
for me the text reflow works fine in opera 10, and flash works ok on alot of sites, just tried speedtest.net and it worked fine (albeit a little slow)

there is no text reflow on OM10 like the one in Opera 9.7....it's been a major complaint of everyone since the first beta.
Unless one counts the predefined text width length done by OM10 for every web page as text reflow - That's not true text reflow. Text reflow should be dynamic and changed depending on the variable screen width.

I am using the stock ROM (1.66) with Opera 9.7 build 35267.
I have also no flash. For that i use skyfire.
I've read somewhere in their forums someone claim this Opera version was made strictly for hd2.. thus, Opera10 is not an upgrade from 9.7
Different products.
Opera 9.7 gives me the best experience on hd2.
Used Opera 10 with Zoomer but i dont like the little screen at bottom.
It is just NOT p2z if u use zoomer.
I stick to 9.7.
hey guys, iv just downloaded this and i now cant view in landscape and iv also lost pinch to zoom. is this right or have i done something wrong...?
can't you search and read? this is discussed everywhere...
Landscape rotation is not enabled automatically on the hd2, you can do it manually with BSB tweaks (search for it).
Pinch to zoom is not available in opera mobile 10 (yet?).

any idea what version of opera supports pinch to zoom?
The one that came with the phone...
Err, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=632069
I've just installed and tried this.
http://www.opera.com/mobile/download/
As with the previous Beta, the menus look great, are very finger friendly and the start page is fantastic and customisable.
However I am now unable to turn to landscape. I can't find a setting for this but I'm sure in the previous beta I was able to do this without tweaking.
The graphics look great and it now supposedly supports Flash. Youtube was ok, though I still feel the resolution is far from good enough. But I was unable to play music in myspace flashplayers or view videos on Kontraband.
The final major downside for me is that they still haven't sorted pinch to zoom on this browser.
it's getting better but still more work to be done. I think I'm going to roll back to the earlier version.
Until pinch zoom is implemented Opera 10 on the HD2 is irrelevent without a stylus. There are some things you need to zoom close into to finger press or use the fine tip of a stylus for. The currently limited zoom of 10 makes this impossible on some pages for people with large fingers.
Yes .. some pages just need a bit of zoom in, some just a bit of zoom out. It seems however free zoom is not part of Opera 10 at all.
But majority of the sites do work well. The text is fit properly into the window without any need for horizontal scrolling. And flash support is a definite plus. Even I would like to use pinch to zoom, but still feel that the new opera is a good all purpose browser which doesn't makes me shift to my iphone for web browsing. And lastly, if you don't already know, you can apply Pinch to Zoom tweak in BsB for Opera!. It works well for me.

Yeah, I even use BsB Tweaks to enable pinch to zoom for Opera Mini 5 Beta 2... It does work, BUT it is not NATIVE pinch to zoom: It will enlarge the whole app (including Menus etc) and not just the page. But for those situations where you need to tap a check box that is far too small to hit without zooming in, even the non native pinch to zoom works great!
Yes, the tweak does take care of some zoom tuning necessary for the tasks not adequately covered by the tap zoom. I myself use tap zoom and use pinch zoom only for fine adjustments. Best of both world's with flash thrown in the bargain!
I actually want to go back to the previous beta. I'm using the bsb tweak to zoom but I don't find it works that well to be honest. very fiddly and double-tap zooming seems better.

does the Beta 3 repackaged with flash, support pinch and zoom?
Am I missing something?
I have the same standard Opera installed from day one (i.e preinstalled)
and can pinch zoom the webpage, very well in fact.
and no, i havent installed any tweaks cab's or modded the registry.

That's Opera 9.7. We're talking about Opera 10 beta 3, a new release in development from Opera. HTC will need to take Opera 10 (when it is released) and add their pinch-zooming functionality to it before (and if they choose to) update the HD2 with it.
Ah ok.
My mistake.

Opera blog post:
http://my.opera.com/chooseopera/blog/2010/09/09/opera-mini-5-1-for-windows-mobile
Opera Mini 5.1 for Windows Mobile is here!
The long-awaited Opera Mini 5.1 for Windows Phone 6.5, Windows Mobile 6, Windows Mobile 5, and Windows Mobile 2003 based handsets has finally arrived. We have worked days and nights to improve on every aspect of the browser and make it integrate even better with the Windows Mobile platform. Some highlights include default browser functionality and a completely rewritten IME solution that taps directly into the device's own input method. A big thanks to all our users on Windows Mobile who have waited so patiently for this release.
NEW FEATURES
- Ability to set Opera Mini as default browser on the device.
- Support for g-sensor screen rotation on HTC and Samsung devices.
- Support for predictive input if the device supports it natively.
- Improved page layout on high-resolution screens.
- Improved kinetic scrolling.
- Use HQVGA skin for devices with less than QVGA resolution.
- Installer is now signed with VeriSign so Opera Mini will be a trusted application on your handset.
- Alternative installer that works on Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC devices.
- Advanced configuration in registry for power-users (see here for more information).
BUG FIXES
- Multitap input is working on 'classic' keypad devices.
- Input is working on qwerty keypad devices by Samsung and Amoi.
- Keypad shortcuts working on more devices.
- Ability to download files to memory card.
- Clock in Opera Mini is correct in all time zones now.
- Spanish locale is correctly detected.
- URLs and downloaded files can be passed to other applications as a platform request.
- Many bug fixes in Opera Mini browser core for stability and rendering accuracy.
NOTES
- Opera Mini 5.1 will be installed in parallel with Opera Mini 5.0 beta if the latter is already installed on your device.
- Opera Mini 5.1 will not import existing user data from Opera Mini 5.0 beta. Please consider using Opera Link to bring over bookmarks and speed dials to the new version.
- When set as default browser, Opera Mini 5.1 will not be the default viewer application for html files or other web page related files that may exist locally on your device.
To download Opera Mini 5.1 for Windows Mobile handsets visit http://m.opera.com/ on your phone or http://www.opera.com/mobile/download/pc/ on your PC.

Opera Mini = Amazing
It is much faster and more fluid scrolling than either Skyfire or Opera mobile.
Coming from Android (and iPhone before that) the Hd2 was lacking a great web browsing experience but No More!
OMini 5 beta was nice, but I love the better scrolling in 5.1! I've been using OMini as my browser since my Wizard.

i have always used mini in mobile view but iirc when a page is zoomed out it'll auto zoom to wherever you tap on the page. i don't think there is pinch to zoom.

One wierd thing for me is if I press the home button while in landscape then Opera Mini sticks on the screen and doesnt go away unless I power off the phone. If I press the home button while in portrait its fine and goes away.
Anyone else having this problem?

No pinch to zoom but all you do is tap on the screen once and it zooms in perfectly.

It's because the HD2 doesn't do landscape for the home tab. Next time you do that, just hit the start menu button & bring back OMini or any other app that does do landscape (sms, albums, file explorer) & then go back to portrait & then hit home. I ran in to this when using Comic Reader Mobi
Does anyone know how clearing the cache memory works on Opera Mini?
On the Opera Mobile browser it would have an option in the security settings to clear cache so the browser wouldnt slow down but I dont see that option on Opera Mini.
Ive done google searches for "opera mini clear cache" but didnt find anything conclusive. Mostly was blackberry users assuming that the clear history option in settings also clears the cache. One person also said the cache gets cleared when you exit the browser?
Does anyone with alot of Opera experience know how clearing the cache works on Opera Mini?

Do you like the 5 mini, and why?
I've set it as default for it a week. Yes it loads faster, and the 9-grid home screen thumbnails looks better than the HD2 2-column thumbnails. I'm however switching back to the stock Opera 9.7 now. Things I don't like about Opera Mini 5:
Full screen or not, it hides my top bar, and together with it my battery indicator, clock, close button. I can't easily launch anything else or switch to another running program.
no way to minimize browser to go back to where I was
Really hates the complicated seqeunce to close the browser with the mandatory yes/no.
I can't find a way to add search providers to the search box. Well I can't modify the Opera google search either, but Opera Mini has an interface to look as if it can be configured (at least I can delete entries other than google) while not allowing me to add new entries.
force chinese language upon me. I have no idea why but all my settings are in chinese and I cannot find a way to get back to english.
Are there ways to circumvent this list of annoyances?
Does anybody know where I can find documentation on Opera Mini? I've found documentation on Opera, but they do not seem applicable to Opera Mini.

hit the back button & then your back at HTC Sense

that's what the back button is for. this doesn't do like OMobile where the back button actually goes back a page

Argh
I wanted to love Opera Mini. I love the quick zoom/scroll effects.
BUT after using it for a few days I've found annoyances that keep it from being a better browser than Opera Mobile.
- Certain websites take FOREVER to load (some sites load quicker than Opera Mobile i.e. Google searches, but Xda loads slllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooowwww)
- Certain websites dont work correctly and doesn't go to the next page when I click the link
- Can't log into certain websites like I can with Opera Mobile
- When I try to reply to XDA threads it reloads the entire page after I type something in the reply box.
- Cant clear cache memory like I can with Opera Mobile
- Cant exit Opera Mini in landscape by pressing home button since it locks up the phone
- Cant use physical back button to go back a page like you can with Opera Mobile
Oh well...
I like Opera mini too as it is a lot smoother than opera mobile. I do have one issue though:
When you enter a url, it will automatically load the mobile version if available. Not all the mobile site have a link back to their full web site so it is impossible to go to a normal page for some sites.
