Trackball Issues - G1 General

Ok, whenever I start my phone, it goes into the blue LED mode, so I have to smack it around, since the trackball button seems to be getting stuck. It's annoying. I wanna know how do I go about removing the trackball to clean it out. I've tried the alcohol and Q-tip, that works for a few minutes, but then it goes back to being stuck.
Also, after going to CM 4.9.1 it's super slow and takes like 3 minutes to boot, compared with 4.8.1, what's up with that?

Freezes when back light off! Help!

Hi,
I've had this problem for awhile now, and can't seem to find out how to fix it.
My mogul works awesome, when it does.
This is what happens...
Pretend it is 1:15 and I turn my back light off by hitting the power button. At 1:30 or anytime after 1:15, I will hit my power button back on to check my phone. The screen turns on, I still see 1:15 for about 1 second, then it goes to the current time, 1:30. If I got a text message/phone call/alarm during this time my phone was "frozen" when the back light was off, I will miss it. As soon as I hit the power button, I will get the missed calls/alarms/texts/etc.
Now, what the heck?! I did a hard reset, thinking I might have messed up my phone some time, but it is doing it again.
The problem is sporadic, but it does it a lot !
It is so frustrating, please help. I explained the best I could!
Thanks!
I actually have the same problem, as well as even if i don't touch the power button, my alarm clock goes off about 60% of the time if it's plugged in. I'd hoped that when I bought this phone I could exploit the alarm function because it lets you set multiples, plus the alarm on my last phone wasn't very loud. I love my phone, but I still wonder, why the hell are there so many things that "kinda" work? It's a frikkin joke.

Mogul stuck on black screen

Hi my mogul has been randomly dieing on me lately, i would turn it on and call someone talk and hang up, then 2 minutes later i would try to turn it back on through the power button because it hibernates or something and it just wont let me, i would have to take out the battery and put it back in, i cant even press the reset button or anything. i dont understand! thank you in advance for any replys!
oh yea, i know the phone is on because i see the lights flashing, but when i try to call it rings but thats it, it doesnt even show up as a missing call when i take out the battery and put it back in.
Try to reflash your rom. Or maybe a replacement is necessary
Idk if this is the same as what happened to you but something like that happened to my phone. The buttons would light up and the screen would just turn a light black but wouldn't show anything. If it is, I sent it to HTC and they fixed it for me for free; when I got it back it slid easier too, it had gotten a little harder to slide after I dropped it once.

Malfunctioning home button, missing lock screen?

Ever since I dropped my phone a few days ago my home button has stopped working, sort of. If I reboot my phone holding home and back, it goes to recovery. If I click the home button while the button backlights are off, it turns them on. If the device is sleeping, it wakes it. The home button doesn't do anything else. If I want to exit say, the browser, I have to click back until I get back home (really annoying). I can't longpress it to get to recent apps. I have a feeling that something might have gotten disconnected when I dropped it, so the I'm guessing the only permanent fix to that would be to disassemble the entire phone as replace/reconnect whatever is missing. What's weird though is that the button still registers occasionally on logcat but it never does what it's supposed to.
Also, my lockscreen is gone. As in, the device will go to sleep, and as soon as I press the button it will turn on, completely skipping my lockscreen. I have a feeling that these two problems might be related. The problems both happened on the latest cm nightly and on an old nandroid I had of chromatic 3.9.1. For now, I will just have to remap the camara key as my home button and use lockbot. I hate how school has taken away most of my free time, so I can't just mess with it till I fix it like I used to before. Tomorrow when I have more time I'm going to try a full wipe and flash of a clean rom (maybe donut lol), a radio reflash, smacking the phone around a little, maybe a few or things. Any other suggestions?

After taking the phone out of standby, screen becomes unresponsive.

This happens often, but not every time.
I press the power button to put the phone into standby.
I press it again to take it out, the screen turns on, I try to press the unlock jog or any of the buttons along the bottom - nothing.
I noticed sometimes if I'm quick, it begins to animate the jog, or I get a vibration from a button along the bottom, but then it goes unresponsive.
Putting it back in/out of standby fixes it most every time.
Any ideas?
I have this same problem. Usually worse the longer it was in standby. Helps somewhat to reset the phone once a day, and also use a task killer program to kill apps you arent using.
I ended up taking the phone back to the store and they replaced it with a brand new one. The new one works flawlessly. Also, my wifes had been working since we got them saturday without issue too.

Seems to happen to me sometimes right in the morning when I take it out of the charger... a bit annoying but nothing too serious

Blank screen, notification and menu lights on.

Hello all, I just traded my nexus 6 with a note 4 and it worked well for about 3-4days and now i'm stuck. I received a call, went to answer and the screen was blank. Tried switching off the phone to no avail. Pulled the battery and tried to power it back up again all I get now are different shades of blue led notification then the menu and back buttons light up and that's it, screen blank.
I did try the many ways shown in google to remedy this but nothing works, pulled battery, held power button for 1-2mins and then leave the phone alone for a while and then come back to power it up. Nothing works. Did the guy set me up or did it just happen on my watch. I'm pretty sure he would say that he gave me a fully functioning phone, which he indeed did. Should I just get a new board or am I screwed?
Nothing......cool.
