Is there any way to remove the signature line 'Sent from my HTC' from emails I send from the HD2? I can't seem to find one.
Thanks
Simply go to START/E-Mail. Choose MENU/Options. Now there should be a button "Signatures", press it and change the text in the box.
Choose Start-Email-Menu-Options-Signatures, you can either remove or edit it from there.
Tom
Many thanks, works a treat

Hi, This is an easy one but couldn't find anything in the forum searches probably wrong key words, but how do you select multiple receipient when sending a txt msg without having the need to go back to menu - add receipient - there has to be an easier way?
Thanks
After you enter the first receipient, just start writting the name of the secondone in the field To, a list will be displayed with your contacts list, just select the one you want; go ahead untill you have added all the contacts you want.
Hope this help ...
Regards
You can also press select (d-pad center) immediately after selecting a contact while you are in the TO field and it will take you back to your contacts where you can search.
So i changed from the 8125 to the wing and I have discovered it is much more difficult to send a new text message. You have to go through like 5 different commands...(open the message bar, select text message account, tap menu, scroll to new, scroll to sms) it just seems so tedious so i was wondering if anyone knows of a way to make it so i can have new message be one of my soft key choices (preferably where the delete soft key is). Its really annoying.
Thanks BP
How about when you install the HTC Home plugin, I HAD one until i bricked my phone yesterday :'( it came with the PDAVIET rom which was released some time ago.
What it does is, it shows on the Today screen a link to Email and one to SMS.
That's probably the fastest way.
Cheers
how 'bout putting the command "new sms" under a softkey ?
Or simply install the program "name" (sorry forgot the name) that puts a "New" menu at your left soft-key in the today screen, from there you can choose sms, e-mail, mms etc.. Just search for New menu
Press Contacts softkey. Scroll to the intended recipient. Tap, hold, pick "Send Text Message". Type text message. Press Send softkey.
What's the problem?
How About VIJay?
Hello,
I use VijaySMS All the time... It allows you to make a shortcut (I use SPB Today so I create the shortcuts in there) that either starts a blank SMS or start one to a specific contact. You can find the program at Vijay's webpage here: http://www.vijay555.com/
Enjoy!
You could set up the Message button to automatically go to your SMS Inbox when you press it.
Messaging Inbox > Menu > Tools > Options...
Select Text/SMS and uncheck "Display account picker when opening Messaging." This will automatically open your SMS Inbox, thus eliminating the first two steps of your problem.
Hi,
Is there a way to send an sms to all contacts?
Also how do you select multipe contacts for messaging - do you really have to do one contact at a time as I have been doing, or can you "mark" multiple contacts?
Cheers.
In the list of Recipient type the contacts following bij a semicolon.
for example:
contact1; contact2; contact3 etc
Hi, same thing here. Do you get a "check names" option in the forward message opiton box that doesn't do anything? Is there any way of adding a check box to the contacts menu? Would be nice. I've searched the whole forum and can't find any answers. Search brings up no matches either.
Thanks.
I dont know about 'all', but multiples are easy, just keep clicking the To button and selecting your contacts from the contactlist (one at a time).. A checkbox would have been neater tho.
Try google for Group SMS. It lets you list your contacts by category, and checkbox those you wish to SMS to.
I'm sure I had that one. If anyone finds it, please post a link.
I have catagories set up, why can't I just text a catagory and it messages them all..
Eaglesteve! Searched as you said and installed Groupsms. Works great.
Cheers and thank you.
One thing that annoyed me about the iphone was having to delete every individual email to clear the inbox. Then, you'd have to go into the trash folder and start manually deleting them from there too. WM was great for this, you'd just hit "clear inbox" and they would all dissappear. hurrah!
Android/hero seems to have copied the stupid iphone method. or... am i missing something? is there a better way to delete items from the inbox?
In the Mail app, press the menu button and select delete. Then you are able to select multiple messages to delete in one go

Click to collapse
Yeah, thats what i'm refering too. If you had 50 emails you'd have to tap each one individually to delete it.
No, you don't.
When you are in the screen to select which messages you want to delete, click Menu again. It will give you the options to Mark all or Unmark All. This way you can delete ALL messages in one go. Remember that the Menu button changes screen over screen, many hidden functionality is there

As it says on the tin really. I have found on more than one occasion that I have accidentally deleted message when I go to the inbox because the softkey on the left is "delete" .
Is there anyway to change this to something else [preferably "reply"].
I have seen that you need to change to a cooked version of Manilla to change it from "reply all" to "reply" when in an email so I don't hold much hope [I am not happy to do this even though I would like this feature] but do wonder if this is possible.
Thanks
