I just picked up an HTC ELF "Touch" but it has an unknown power on password set.
Anybody know how to get rid of it?

Hi,
Today after tryin an upgrade i got a "country id error" (strange, all was configured in the right way).
From that moment my m1000 remains with bootloader screen and i can do nothing.
Removing the battery doesn't help.
Trying another upgrade always results in a Country ID error.
Any idea to sort out this situation?

Same problem over here, I'm thinking of going back to the shop and ask a new one.
In the meanwhile i've solved this question simply installing a "country ID Free" version of WM2003SE (2.20).
The other big problem is: the phone should be unlocked, but when i insert a different SIM it ask me for unlocking code.
Using xda2unlock (old method) is unuseful 'cause the program reports "the phone seems already unlocked"
I feel a little ashamed 'cause i can't manage to use new version:
move the xda2unlock-v2.2.exe to the PDA but whe i try to run it i got an error ("this application is not valid" or something similar).
All that happens with radio 1.18.00.
Any help?

Also the unlock problem seems solved.
The problems is that the file xda2unlock-v2.2.exe on this forum seems to be damaged.
I downloaded from here and i got a smal 3 Kb file instead of 14,5.
I searched the net for another source, foun it and easily unlocked my phone!

Guys I've been trying to set a password for the windows 6.5 lockscreen and it appears that I can only set a password if I chose that the device locks itself up automatically after a chosen time period. I want to activate lock screen manually and still have the password protection enabled. Is this possible ?

I don't know if i understand what you are talking about, but did you attempt the unlock pattern too many times unsuccessfully ? If that is the case you have to do a factory reset. Maybe if you had previously selected USB debugging in the settings you can access your phone on a console with adb. I don't have the sufficient level in this domain to help you further, but there must be a way by accessing the memory to do something... Don't count on it. Sorry
Hi guys sorry to ask my friend has a password on his phone is they a way of been able to access the Internet memory card or actually get into the phone
He has passed away and his brother wants to get all his pics ect off before factory resetting it
