Can someone help me how do I remove template does not respond to multiple gmail address and password, if there is a way to help me because my phone is really needed, and to point the phone is not root. Thank you.
I don't know if i understand what you are talking about, but did you attempt the unlock pattern too many times unsuccessfully ? If that is the case you have to do a factory reset. Maybe if you had previously selected USB debugging in the settings you can access your phone on a console with adb. I don't have the sufficient level in this domain to help you further, but there must be a way by accessing the memory to do something... Don't count on it. Sorry

Hi,
Does anyone know where the power on password gets stored on the Pocket PC device? Is it possible to reset the power on password from the Pocket PC registry? Or through any API call?
cheers,
If this a device with an OS before WM5: simply do a cold boot or firmware reflash.
AFAIK there is NO default application that will query a password on poweron. It sounds to me like a customized application/pocket pc device. Which device do you have?
hjgode on 2003 and 2002 there is Settings->Personal->Password
pvin007 you have these method available for passwords:
BOOL SetPassword( LPWSTR lpszOldPassword, LPWSTR lpszNewPassword );
BOOL SetPasswordActive( BOOL bActive, LPWSTR lpszPassword );
BOOL GetPasswordActive();
For them to be any use you need to know the current password, care should be taken while playing with these methods because if you forget the password you have changed it to you won't be able to activesync.
The password is stored in the registry and in an unacessable part of the memory.
This page also has good information:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnppcgen/html/wmdeploy.asp
Thanks for the responses guys. My device is an i-mate PPC. Which has WM2003.
I had a look at those API functions, but they do require the existing password. I would like to know if it is possible to clear the existing password without knowing what it is.
The reason I ask is, I want to write some sort of code, that can be used to help users clear lost password. I am using OneBridge to send down remote registry settings and run scripts remotely, so I can execute anything on the device remotely if the device is locked and user does not know thier power on password.
But I don't know how to clear lost passwords, without having to hard reset the device and loosing all information on it.
I guess it is not possible to clear lost passwords.??
There is a security dll you can overwrite and make your own API, so you wouldn't need the password.
I am not sure the exact details, but I have been told that for part of our project it can and needs to be done.
I wou't be starting this project for a few weeks though.
Thanks! Sounds like there is hope. I would appreciate if at the time you have a look at the project, if you can share more details about the security DLL on this forum.
cheers,
i locked my phone and i didn't want to do a hard reset on my phone is there a way to unlock it with out doing so thanks for your help
im guessing you dont have a hint for the password
no i don't i didn't with out thinking this suck's
their seems to be a reset password option in the menu but i cant seem to get it to work. you may want to search also
There is always the option to hack your phone.
I mean by brute force. Just find some rainbow tables to go with it.
This option might take a while, Im assuming you have synced your phone before.
When you synced it did you enable the option to automatically unlock upon connection? if so you can find a way to hack it from here or just copy any necessary files over to your computer and hard reset after. When your done just copy over your files.
Hi all,
First post on this forum - wondering if you guys can help me out with one of the dumbest things anyone can do...
Yesterday I entered a PIN lock on my windows mobile 5 OS/ed phone and forgot it as soon as i'd confirmed it.
I really need the info saved in my phones memory - is there any way to retrieve that (with any tools that the community have made here) without doing a hard reset?
Basically if I cant dump the contents of the phone i'm screwed.
Any ideas??? Please
hard reset.
Hi All,
first of all , hope to put this issue in the correct forum path....
my friend has a problem with the Pro2, as you can see by the attach , concerning the keyboard password lock.
His password doesn't works and also performing all the reset type , after the reboot the mobile starts with the keyboard locked (only emergency number is possible call).
he has reported me that at the first time, the mobile has gave to him an alphanumeric code to try to unlock the code but it doesn't solved the issue.
probably re-installing the software (6.5) the problem is solved but he doesn't want loss the date / appointments due the fact he has a doctor.
please help us.
thanks

Did he ever use Activesync or Google Sync? If he did, most of his information sould be saved that way. Also, you may want to try doing a hard reset but only after exausting all attempts to back your data up. Send a couple of PM to Senior memebers or Moderators, you might get some help that way!!
Good luck!!
thanks for your post....
principal problem is that is not possible connect the mobile to pc in order to use activesync or other program due the fact the mobile is locked....and not save data has been performed before....
Double chack that his SIM card is in correctly.
Same exact thing happened to me. My phone battery was at about 10% and when I tried the password that I had set... it didn't work. This made me frantic and very ticked off. I had a ROM on my SD card so i just reflashed from there. Since then I always install a different locking app then the stock one. I just can't trust it. So I think youre only option is to hard reset and hopefully your contacts are saved to the SIM so they won't be deleted.
Hello,
My phone has 4 number security code you have to enter when the phone's being unlocked(did in settings, default winmo lock but HTC made an unlocking skin on it).
I've taken out a battery while the phone was on, then turned it back again in 3 hours. I move the unlock image, and as usual dialpad appears asking for security code. I enter as I usually do and it says INVALID CODE. I'm like - WTF? Tried again, nothing. Tried dozens of times, nothing. Reboot doesn't help. Now it even stopped saying INVALID CODE, when you press the unlock button it doesn't do anything.
I had the "lock" feature working fine for weeks.
QUESTION: What to do(without hardreset)? Phone is set to sync when USB connected, Windows Mobile Device Centre says unlock your phone first before sync. I can't do anything, can't make call(i can receive it), can't check messages or anything, i can't unlock it ffs! Help please, any ideas are welcome
you aren't alone,happened to quite a few.
did you recently install swype 3.9?(there are other reasons)
i've not seen anyone get out without hard resetting.
i have miri rom with swype pre installed
maybe there's a way to upload a file to storage card that will change some registry keys? problem will be how to run it

About the only thing I can think of is if you were able to find a way to put something in the \windows\startup folder that fixed it - but like someone here already said - odds are you're going to have to do a hard-reset.
@
It happened to me awhile back...i tried to find a way but didnt manage to find it, i had to hard reset..
