sorry to post again but i got to the part were you have to press the vol-down and power button and the screen with red-green-blue-wwhite comes on and has yellow writing in the red bar:

Hi
Why you press the Vol down and power button? Just press the power button it should load the rom. If it is fail to load the rom then you have to press Vol down+ power to get the Bootloader screen which shows three colour screen.
If that is your case then
Download your device's original rom from this forum or htc website Then connect the hd2 to the PC. THe "serial" sign will change to USB. then double click on the downloaded file. If you use Vista or Windows 7 on the pc Then right click on the downloaded file and Run as administrator. It will flash the rom for your HD2.
im just copying what the sticky says.... im trying to load 1.61, i have just turned the phone on and its still the old rom.
Wen i go in to then bootloader again should i just click the Ruu-1.61 (in windows) and follow the instructions?

Try connecting your phone to pc via activesync and run RUU 1.61.
It worked for me and some other people here.

Hi everyone. I have a HD2 Tmobile branded. It was working fine until yesterday i turn the phone off and then turn it back on. It wouldnt full booted. It just stuck at the pink (or red) Tmobile logo screen. Its the first screen that appear when u boot the phone up. I tried to connect it with a usb cable to my laptop but nothing happen at all so i can't reflash the ROM. Has anyone able to fix this before? Is there any other way i should try. Thanks

Go into Bootloader Mode: While phone is Off, hold Volume Down button then tap the Power button.

Ok your chooses here are:
A: Do a hard reset of your HD2 by holding both the volume up and down buttons down while powering on the HD2 and then following the on screen instructions.
B: Put your HD2 into bootloader and connect it to your computer via USB cable and wait for the Serial to change to USB. Then flash either your stock ROM, a custom Windows Mobile ROM of your choose, MAGLDR if you want to run Android or WP7, or cLK if you want to run Android.
I got my new phone but can't seem to properly HSPL2 it installs fine but then restarts on red green blue screen with the standard startup.

no need for hspl 1-2 or 3 , just use sspl and flash your rom

I've tried to install Android on my HD2, and I guess something has bone wrong.
I've installed the HSPL 3 package, that was ok.
Then I've moved to MAGLDR installation, it was ok until the reboot, after seeing 100% on the installation process, it boot and then get stucked on the starting screen, where you can read HTC with their logo.
I've tried to perform a hard reset. Seems ok, then I press Vol Up. First, the restore time is really short (less than a second), then I press Vol Up again to boot, and I get back to HTC Starting screen...
Do you have any idea about what I'm supposed to do?

Well, pardon me for saying this but you should have searched the forum and google before. So many people have seen this problem before. After hard reset, you don't have anything left on the device so just re-install.

I did actually spent some time over google and this forum, but haven't identified any problems siilar than mine... Sorry about that.
Now you tell me that I'm supposed to reinstall, fine but... how? I know how to when you can connect the mobile to the computer with Active Sync, but without... no idea.

Read this thread carefully.
All of the steps you need are in there.
First you will need to flash a compatible Radio if you haven't done this already.
Then you need to flash the Android ROM you want to use.
Alright so my htc hd2 was given to me by a friend it already had android in it, but being me so stupid i wanted to use windows, and i thought hard resetting would do that, so i hard reset, by holding down the power and volume up and dwn, and it did and it said press volume up to boot and i did that and its been stuck on that screen ever since id appreciate any help i can get, and since its stuck on this screen windows mobile never recognizes it, so someone pleasee hlp me out. thankkss =)
The other thing is I can still access bootloader......
that blue red and green screen when i connect it says USB, but on cpu at device center it never shows up,

Question: When you enter bootloader - do you connect the cable before or after? And what happens when you try to start flashing radio or wm? Does the installer say phone not connected?

If you run the windows mobile installer (using CustomRUU) when you are in bootloader mode, it will install winmo for you.
Yeah, I installed Windows mob, but when im tryin to install it the first step is to connect to the usb the usb is connected and it still said try8ing to connect then it went staright to error those letters i wrote come up on bootloader screen, somone guide me through this pleaseeeee.

Try a search on this site for Android install and follow the instructions, looks like your sister got part of the way there but failed somewhere along the line.

Well you need to download HSPL4 for HTC HD2 and install or better say downgrade it to HSPL 2.08. You can find it here on forum just give yourself some time and search. There was already the same thread and I wrote how to solve it. You need to go to bootloader mode first. Turn off your phone and hold volume down button and hold it while you press power button. Hold both of them until you see three color screen. Then comnect phone to pc and run HSPL4 on your pc and choose HSPL 2.08 in the menu flash it and wait until you see we hacked it on your phone. Then you can flash any custom rom. I recommend flashing using pc. Not using sd card method.
And next time read carefully when installing android on your phone.
