Not true mate. Connect with remote desktop and then open BsB and do the shakey thing then. The connection screen and the actual remote desktop screen are 2 different windows. That's all.
I noticed that and used BsB on both windows... but the desktop window just refuses to rotate. But when I start the connection in landscape view it seems to want to give me the rotated desktop... but the window it is displayed in stays in portrait mode with an uncomplete landscape desktop view in it's center...

Delete the new info from BsB tweaks that you've added for the 2 windows, and start again. It may be that adding them both has caused a conflict. It definitely works - I use RDP and have it to rotate for me, using BsB.
Thanks! deleting the entries and reactivating rotation did the trick. Have to connect in landscape to get properly fitting desktop image for landscape mode.

Glad you got it working mate. Happy remoting
Hi
I’m having prob with my remote desktop
I turned bsb on I then connect remote to desktop pc
When I could see the desktop and had full remote
I then shake the phone and a box opens and I tap ok
I then turn the phone to go in to landscape mode but it doesn’t
Should I go in to bsb and put a tick in the box of the new link I made by shaking?
Should I do a softstart should I do both?
Will I need bsb running each time I want to use landscape on remote desktop?

If you do as you described then you will need a soft reset for windows to recognise the registry changes, but you don't need BSB running after that - it's just to make the required changes.
hi thanks for geting back to me.
that sorted it
thanks
Hi guys, BsB tweak only rotates my remote desktop in full screen, it does not rotate in normal view, but when i put it in full screen I can't use the keyboard. any ideas how to get it rotate or get the keyboard in full screen? thx
open in registry
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\ModuleName]
"Remote Desktop Mobile"="\\Windows\\wpctsc.exe"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\WhiteList]
"Remote Desktop Mobile"="TSSHELLWND"
This entry is already put in the registry by BsB tweak.
Any ideas why RDM won't rotate in normal view?
Try G-Rotator maybe it will give you what you want cause it allows whatever screen you are currently viewing to rotate.

Hey All:
I'd like to create a shortcut to the Screen Rotate function for when I want to use my GPS software in Landscape mode.
You know - something shorter than doing a START > SETTINGS > SYSTEM > SCREEN.
Thoughts? Can't seem to find what controls it.
I know there is a rotation shortcut in the HTC Homeplug today screen addin - but I don't want to use that otherwise and just want to pop a shortcut into iLauncher.
You can go to button settings and assign a hard button to the rotate screen function.
Of course this assumes you are willing to give up a hard button... not sure if you are from reading your post.
Have you looked at Resco Explorer? I know Resco Explorer allows you to create start menu shortcuts. Maybe you can just create a shortcut of the Rotate screen exe.
You can try AE Button Plus. It allows you to map virtually any program or function to a hard button. And you can map several things to one button because you can map to single, double, triple, and long press. I have it set to double pressing the left soft key will switch to landscape mode.
Any chance anyone knows the file for rotating the screen? Funny enough it's not named rotatescreen.exe.
For now, I used iLauncher which has a rotate screen function and assigned it to an icon on my desktop.... but it seems crazy to me no one knows where to find the file or command that does this
Ok, I'll have to give iLauncher a look. It's funny because there is a screen rotate function in the HTC Home plugin I'm using, but it rotates the screen the opposite direction that I want on my Mogul. I'll have to keep looking.
Registry Change
I have been looking to do the same thing for some time now. i found that it's a registry value so my thinking is that it must be possible to create a script or app that can change this value but i have yet to find one.
the reg key and values are:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\ROTATION]
Change the Value of "Angle" to the
dword:00000000 or dword:00000360 -> Portrait Mode
dword:00000090 -> Landscape(Right-Handed)
dword:00000180 -> Portrait Up-side Down
dword:00000270 -> Landscape (Left-Handed)
hopefully someone can come up with something from this. I'm using a touch btw but i think the reg values should be universal.
ok i found an app that will do it!!! see here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=230981
it works great on my touch with WM6
for anyone interested i have since made a mortscript that will switch to and fro a little faster than rotateSE if someone wants it i can post it here.
This would be a good place for that, post away!

for anyone who was looking for my screenrotate mortscript sorry for the delay in posting it. it will be posted tonight. i have been very busy/tired of late but tonight is the night. anyone who does not have mortscript can get it here MortScript
here it is. i assumed that mortscript would be installed in \program files
place the script file anywhere on your device. See Previous post for link to get mortscript.
Try this small program, just execute in device then it will rotate. no installation required.

Thanks man, works 100% nice with my HTC P3600 with WM6.1
Probably because of an incompatibility with the new TouchFlo interface, HTC has disabled manual switching to landscape mode on the Jade. This in itself is already a disadvantage. It is particularly bad for Opera because the very useful landscape option is now also absent from its context menu. The good news is: There is an easy way out: Just unlock the registry and change
"HKLM\System\GDI\Rotation\HideOrientationUI" from "1" to "0"
and you can rotate to your hearts delight. The respective button is now available in "Settings - Screen" - and the option is also available in Opera's context menu! Note, however, that whenever you go back to TouchFlo's today screen it will rotate back to vertical. If you want to run a program in landscape it is thus best to first start the program and then use the start button access "Settings - Screen". In Opera, however, this is not necessary.
Thanks for this Information!
hi there,
thanks for this new hack- you can also set a shortcut for orientation with sktools which you then can start from the launcher
cheers
Landscape Mode and writing messages
Hi everybody,
i tried this setting for landscape mode and it is working well.
But only thing i noticed. If i want to try a message in landscape mode, the keyboard is not displayed correctly - some letters are missing.
Does anybody have the same issue?
thx
simon
It's weird that landscape mode exists in Opera 8.65 without that hack in registry, but in Opera 9 does not Any ideas?
I say that because this mode is very useful for internet browsing, not so in other applications.
I have the same problem with the keyboard in landscape mode, maybe this can be resolved by installing another on screen keyboard?

hi, you first need a registry editor. i use phm regedit, but if u search you'll find also other program that do the same. install it on jade, run and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\Rotation\ (tapping the "+" on the left of the voice, and finally tapping "rotation"), you'll find 4 voices, tap on HideOrientationUI, and set on "value data" = "0" instead of "1". tap ok, exit the program, softreset et voilà! now you can find the button on settings\system\display.

Thanks for your answer IL_mante, its works perfect for my HTC VIVA.
Also use:
"HKLM\System\GDI\ClearTypeSettings\OffOnRotation" from "1" to "0"
to keep your text looking pretty.

Click on the little triangle on the bottom center of the screen next to the keyboard icon and select the standard keyboard.
my phone's screen always in vertical mode. but when i want to use horizontal screen to type sms, i will use QuickMenu to change screen from H-V. simple and no registry tweak at all. it is alright for me even though the screen will revert back to horizontal mode when it goes back to home screen.
Hi Guys,

After enabling rotation in the registry, you can also assign long-press of left hardware button to rotate the screen...
Just go to Start>Settings>Personal>Buttons... Just select <Rotate Screen> from the choices for Button 1...
hi i enabled landscape in registry, assigned to long press green button, works well to this point. problem is that when in landscape, keyboard doesnt show up... htc one, nor FingerKeyboard i installed...
when in portrait, kezboard shows up, i switch to landscape and it's gone...
htc's full qwerty keyboard wasn't showing landscape from the beginning, always portrait only...
another problem, when i switch to lanscape when in TotalCommander, screen reverts back to portrait immediately... just like in manila.
any suggestions?
is there any portrait fullscreen keyboard?
EDIT: problem solved. after uninstalling FingerKeyboard from Storage, everything works ok... seems that system tools is better to keep in main memory
Hi all - I just picked up a TD2 and have installed a few apps (SPB mainly) and I can no longer get my phone to rotate. Where is the setting that controls rotating of the screen?
Your hand controls the phones ability to rotate, put your phone in your hand then rotate, the phone will move the same way your hand does.......
.....sorry.....
In TouchFlo go to the Settings Tab, then scroll down to G-Sensor, here you can turn it on or off, but most people (I assume) use a third party app to control the rotation of the 'Screen', I use G-Config http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487991, I'm sure others can offer alternatives.
This link is a good place to find 'Sensor' Apps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=430541
I'm not seeing how you get into Touchflo to get to settings... that is where I'm stumped!
Ok, Touchflo is the flippy clock, people, messages etc tabs, I assume you have this unless you've disabled it and are using another program 'Mobile Shell' comes to mind, or you've reverted to the standard Today screen.
If you have the tabs as described, move to the far right selection, if you don't, please describe you setup and programs you've installed which have stopped it rotating.
You hit the nail on the head - I installed Mobile Shell and that is when I noticed I lost the rotating functionality.
Try installing G-Config, it might work, I don't know if the TD2 needs Touchflo running to enable rotate, I woulnd't think so, installing a program like G-Config might make it rotate (you'll need to select the apps to rotate with the program)
I use Chronos (a clock program) as my screensaver. I also use Spb PocketPlus for my home screen rather than the stock HTC home screen.
I'm trying to find the command in the software that invokes the screensaver so I can put a link to it on my home screen. I cannot find anything that works in the Windows folder (like scrnsaver in XP).
I also use TweakHD, but can't find anything in there.
Anybody know where this might be found? If I activate to the chronos.exe file, it brings up the full program with the settings indicator, etc. so that I can't dismiss it just by touching it. That's why I'm trying to find the command within the OS that invokes the screensaver.
Thanks.

screensaving with pdas means switching off the screen. you will not have much fun with a device that is switched on all the time, because your battery will be drained in less than a day. so there´s no switch to use to activate a screensaver like at your computer at home
I can't get landscape mode working. I have tried both bsb and adding manually to the registry but nothing happens when I try it when I reboot. What can I do??
I use changeScreen v2.78 and it works with remote desktop. Only restriction is that the orientation/resolution of the remote destop is fixed when you connect so you must press connect in landscape mode.
