How to activate screensaver? - Touch HD General

I use Chronos (a clock program) as my screensaver. I also use Spb PocketPlus for my home screen rather than the stock HTC home screen.
I'm trying to find the command in the software that invokes the screensaver so I can put a link to it on my home screen. I cannot find anything that works in the Windows folder (like scrnsaver in XP).
I also use TweakHD, but can't find anything in there.
Anybody know where this might be found? If I activate to the chronos.exe file, it brings up the full program with the settings indicator, etc. so that I can't dismiss it just by touching it. That's why I'm trying to find the command within the OS that invokes the screensaver.
Thanks.

screensaving with pdas means switching off the screen. you will not have much fun with a device that is switched on all the time, because your battery will be drained in less than a day. so thereĀ“s no switch to use to activate a screensaver like at your computer at home

iLock like application for the standard keylock

Just wondering..
Is there an iLock (from Slide2Unlock) like application available that will use the standard keylock feature rather than the slide.exe..
I tried using vjdevicelock with the -pwfoff flag and it works great... but I can't assign that to the power button on my hermes..
What I'm after is a way to have the standard keylock come on automatically as soon as I press the power button to send the phone to sleep. I realise this has probably been done before but all the apps i've tried dont work exactly as ilock does.. (ie sitting in the background and activating on power button tap - this is perfect)
Im thinking that I can probably create my own slide.exe to trick ilock.exe into running it and have that call vj's util with the right shortcut.. but thats a hassle when i'm sure its already been done.. (if it hasnt and anyone wants it ill make one though as id love this feature)
Cheers,
Sam
All sounds wrong to me - you want to just use something like SK Tools or basically anything that lets you create notifications (or use code!).
Create a notification that loads whatever.exe on power on, so as soon as the system powers on (ie after you've powered it off previously), notification is received and whatever.exe is launched.
You don't need to spoof VJDeviceLock etc.
V
PS Maybe I read wrong. VJDeviceLock works on my Hermes. I use v0.3 and use the -install command line option to install the above notification. It automagically locks my hermes on power on.
Check out Device Lock.
I am at work so I can't really take a look at it, but I second the idea of keeping the issue simple. Just just SK Tools, and do a bit of searching in the \windows folder.
There should be a *.exe that activates the lock feature. Then you can map it to a button. That is how I have setup the Memory Manager to a key so that way I do not need to download a task manager per se, or what I do not is that I have the task mananer.exe that comes with Black Shadow... etc.
The point is that it should be able to be done. Just take a look.
I don't think there is a specific .exe to active keylock - some phones do have one, but I can't remember if HTCs do.
It's technically an API call, but there are other ways to activate it too.

Start IE in full screen on boot

Dear XDA-Developers,
As a volunteer for a project i'm making a webapplication which is controlled by a pocket pc.
To make it useable for people i want Internet Explorer to start automatically on the boot of the device. That on itself isn't that hard, i know.
I need IE to open a specific webpage, and go in full screen mode.
Maybe it's not that difficult, but next to webdeveloping, i can't make software etc. so i was hoping someone has a solution for me. It would be a big help.
Thanks in advance.
You can use Resco Explorer to make a shortcut like this:
"\Windows\iexplore.exe" http://www.xda-developers.com (To open your favorite site )
You can put this link in \Windows\StartUp\
I currently don't know a method to open fullscreen.
Well last time I tried if I exit IE when it's full screen, it stays full screen next time I opened it. This is with WM6.
Hi,
Not sure if this will help but Confused Stu has just released a ROM that starts IE in Full Screen.

Cheers.
THIS is how to start Pocket IE in FullScreen mode
I'm sure this is waaay too late for your project, but for the sake of posterity (and for the search engine) here is how to start Pocket IE in FullScreen mode...
It's in the registry- HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
the key is a DWord called "FullScreen" set it to 1.
Obviously, if PIE is already running (minimized but not closed) you'd have to kill the process, write the registry entry, then open PIE. PIE retains the fullscreen setting until you change it (either via the registry or by exiting fullscreen mode within PIE) but it couldn't hurt to check the registry value before firing up PIE.
All of this easily done via Mortscript. In the case of a console-type app that runs on startup and you want the user to stay in that app (and out of the rest of the system), you'd want to check periodically to make sure PIE was the active window, and activate it if not. You might also want to prevent access to the PIE menus (via the SoftKeys) and also the Start Menu button. I'm sure there's a util somewhere to disable the HW buttons, but off the top of my head, I can't think of any.

Tough Cube Shortcuts

I've done a pretty thorough search on here and have not found this info yet:
1. I need to find a way to call up the Pocket Office menu (the one with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint shortcuts) from the touch Cube. I tried using the officered.dll but can't work it out. Any Ideas?
2. I would like to toggle wifi on/off from the touch Cube as well. Any ideas to that shortcut?
Thanks
1) Search for touch settings app. This should let you change shortcuts on cube faces. Be weary, if you start to play around with it's other options, i changed the animations of the cube via this app and could not get them to change back.
or
search around the key registry for the cube app side settings and to it manualy yourself.
2) Search for just that, either google or xda, wifitoggle or something. There is a small app that has a shortcut to it too that you can use.
TouchSettings application killed the animation of the Touch Cruise Cube. I'd recommend to generally stay away from it. There's a real thing there about the biotouch version etc...
I found that you just have to link to fexplorer.exe with the path to the folder you want to open in the parameters. This way you can link the touch cube to any folder.
Still looking to toggle wifi...

That's exactly what I'd like to do but not sure what to enter in path/parameters/whatever. How do I make the tweaks?
Thanks.
Never mind - I figured it out myself somehow (Even a blind squirrel finds the occasional acorn).

[REQ] HTC Taskmanager improvement

Hi There,
If you ever used the "Close Button" plug-in from Spb Mobile Plus you prolly know what I mean...
The HTC Taskmanager looks all nice, I like it, but its only accessible on the Today Screen. Is there a way to make it accessible even when you're not on the today screen?
Sometimes when you're doing stuff you want to "alt-tab" to another program and this is an easy way to do it, or when you want to close another/all other programs.
I hope there's a solution because it really is an improvement to the taskmanager.
me too
sorry, no help here. I can only say "me too". I was actually just thinking about this today. I've had this phone for a few months, and it just today occurred to mr today that you can't close other open programs without going back to the today screen, only option is to "x" button back to today screen or hope that what you seek to close is in your start menu under 'recent items'.
any help or development would be super appreciated, thanks all.
There is a shortcut in the Settings folder in the Systems tab. However, I expect you don't want to go through all of that when you want to use it. As an alternative, you could use file explorer and go into the Windows folder, find the Task Manager program in there, copy it and past a shortcut in the Windows/Start Menu folder. Then it would be on your Start Menu. You would need to remove one other item if you were then over the allowed maximum number of items in there.
Is that accessible enough?
I'd rather not put it in my start menu cus there are other "important" shortcuts in there...
I'd rather have it in the upper right corner...
You could use WkTask
the best free taskmanager there is (not working on wm6.5)

I tried it and I like it, Is there a way to make a backup of my settings?
It seems the program doesnt work as i wished it would. I worked with it for a while and I like the concept alot, but there's a major flaw. Sometimes when I make adjustments to, lets say, my alarm settings (winmo clock/alarms setings), and when I press [ok] the window minimizes (I set the one click to minimize), there's no way you can apply the changes because it will keep on running on the background. If I choose to close it then the changes wont apply. This occurs to many other programs I use in simular occasions when you need to press [ok] to apply settings.
I would still have a solution to the HTC taskbar though. I think I would prefer it over the WkTask taskmanager.

Phone no longer rotating

Hi all - I just picked up a TD2 and have installed a few apps (SPB mainly) and I can no longer get my phone to rotate. Where is the setting that controls rotating of the screen?
Your hand controls the phones ability to rotate, put your phone in your hand then rotate, the phone will move the same way your hand does.......
.....sorry.....
In TouchFlo go to the Settings Tab, then scroll down to G-Sensor, here you can turn it on or off, but most people (I assume) use a third party app to control the rotation of the 'Screen', I use G-Config http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487991, I'm sure others can offer alternatives.
This link is a good place to find 'Sensor' Apps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=430541
I'm not seeing how you get into Touchflo to get to settings... that is where I'm stumped!
Ok, Touchflo is the flippy clock, people, messages etc tabs, I assume you have this unless you've disabled it and are using another program 'Mobile Shell' comes to mind, or you've reverted to the standard Today screen.
If you have the tabs as described, move to the far right selection, if you don't, please describe you setup and programs you've installed which have stopped it rotating.
You hit the nail on the head - I installed Mobile Shell and that is when I noticed I lost the rotating functionality.
Try installing G-Config, it might work, I don't know if the TD2 needs Touchflo running to enable rotate, I woulnd't think so, installing a program like G-Config might make it rotate (you'll need to select the apps to rotate with the program)
