Once i connect to the carkit i can do everything (call, accept, search contacts) but i can only do one call.
From the second call (doesn't matter if it is outgoing or incoming) the radio moves to mute but the call stays on the speaker of the phone.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi All: I have paired the headset fine with my phone and made calls before but I can not switch a call from the handset to the headset while a call is already in progress. Once I end the call, I can pair the headset fine to make a NEW call but I'm having problems switching the call when it is already in progress. I can go to the phone and manually switch it to hands free but I thought that if I powered on the headset while a call was already in progress, that would route the conversation from the handset to the headset. Is that correct or can it not do this without some tweaking? Thanks.
I have the same setup and I can answer the call on the phone, then "open" the H700 and the phone re-directs the call thru the headset within about 2 seconds from opening the headset.
If I'm on the headset, I can press and hold the call button on the H700 and the call goes on hold. I can "close" the headset and then un-hold the phone using the touch screen and resume the call on the 8525.
Now I believe that the standard bluetooth stack is crap, and I have had many instances where the phone just stops linking the Bluetooth. I can usually restore the link just by using the comm manager to turn off the bluetooth radio, then turning it back On. I have even done this during a call and it worked.
I have always had solid, loud audio with the H700, BUT, several callers have mentioned that my voice was often clipping a word every few seconds. I don't know what that's all about.
Do you know whether you need to select any special settings or do anything special in the pairing setup with the phone or headset? I do not know how to have the conversation directed to the headset after turning it on when I am already on the call. It works fine to start a new call or to answer a call directly through the headset but can't join a call in progress. Would appreciate anyone's help. Thanks.
i have a Bluespoon AX2 bluetooth ear piece... eveytime i get an incoming text while on a call i lose my bluetooth connection... i then therefor have to continue my call via my phone...has anyone experience this same issue??
is there any registry tweaks to correct this???
I use Tomtom frequently and use a bluetooth headset to handle my phonecalls. However when I use Tomtom, I want to hear the navigation instructions from the phone speaker and not from the headset. When I recieve or make a phonecall: vice versa.
I have come up whit a workaround solution. I use BTtoggle to turn bluetooth on while navigating if I receive a phonecall, takes some time and then anwser the phonecall through the bt headset. And then with alttab back to tomtom, so that I can see the route and calling at the same time. It's not perfect, but it does the job.
I want to have this done automatically by the phone. If I am navigating and a phonecall comes in, then the phone automatically turns on the BT, I answer the phone and tomtom remains on the screen. If i am done with the conversation, bluetooth turns off and i hear the voice from tomtom again through the phone speaker....
Does anybody know how this can be done? I have seen a Palm application which could do the trick...(by the way, it has got the same name as the bt toggle app: BTtoggle)...
Should be possible.. The only thing needed is a developer who's willing to put some effort into this.
you can use PocketZenPhone, its a profile switcher which is able to active bluetooth on incoming calls.
I am using it for years now.
I am going to look in to Pocket Zen, however do you have to change the profile manualy on incoming call or automatically?
Depending on your bluetooth headset, you can just turn it on and off. My headset has a switch, so when someone calls, I turn it on while its on my ear.
What about getting a Motorola headset with the boom that turns it on and off?
I just bought a bluetooth headset (SE DS220) which is working great - I listen to music and take/ring calls. However i have two strange issues I wonder if it is possible to fix:
1. While I am using the bluetooth headset my phone still rings if I receive an incoming call - I would like for the phone to be silent and for it to "ring" in my headset. If I turn off the sound in my phone then I can't listen to music either.
2. When I receive an incoming call I have to answer it with the button on the bluetooth unit - if I answer with the phone then the call is switched to the phones speakers. Is it possible to change this behaviour?
Thanks in advance!

If your Device switch to the Phone Speaker ... you havent connect the Headset Profil in the Blue Tooth config.

There is a tick in the box for the headset profile and the icon comes up in the status field. It only switches if I answer with the buttons on the phone.
Noone has any ideas? Hasn't anyone else this problem?
I am not sure, but why dont you just answer the call with the headset.

That's what I do - my biggest issue is the first question:
While I am using the bluetooth headset my phone still rings if I receive an incoming call - I would like for the phone to be silent and for it to "ring" in my headset. If I turn off the sound in my phone then I can't listen to music either.
BT headset problems
I have an xda2 i and I have the problem that even when the headet is connected, at times an incoming call won't broadcast over the headset at all, and equally if i dial out the call doesn't transfer to the headset.
Curiously, I've found the solution is to go into bluetooth manager -->active connections--> and click on STATUS of the head set connected. it should show signal strength and such. I double click on the CONNECTED message (oor maybe somewhere on the screen, basically double tap until it reads NOT CONNECTED ..... as odd as it sounds... this is what i needed... as when I do this, it usually works ok for me.
Maybe it will help?

love this phone but don't know if i have a problem or i'm just using it wrong and i'm an idiot,
i use an o2 blue hands free bluetooth and when i get an incoming call it rings nicely in my ear and i press button on the o2 blue and answer the call and it all works beautifully.
however if i'm making the call, i dial the number on the phone press green phone button and the bluetooth doesn't kick in the call stays on the phone.
(you don't press anything on the bluetooth as it don't work that way)
is this a bug or is there a specific way to make a call on the handset so the bluetooth kicks in??
(apologises in advance if i'm missing the blindingly obvious)
Hi, Scottydog -- I've been using the P6500 with a Bluetooth headset (Plantronics Voyager 815) without any problems. Though to the extent that things don't work properly, I have the opposite problem: when I _make_ calls with the headset connected, all is fine; but when I _receive_ them, calls initially go to the handset and I then have to choose "Turn Hands-free On" from the right soft-key menu to get the call on my headset.
Have you tried doing this after you dial calls?
Wish I had something better to suggest!
