I have my shadow for a while and well, when ever I make calls and get calls I can barely hear them. I was wondering if there something wrong with it or if I could activate like a hearing aid or something.
-Thanks

I have a question, has anyone experienced this: Your phone starts ringing, but in addition to the ring you can hear background noises, including the person who is calling.
So basically you can hear the person on the other end before you pick up the phone. Me and my friends did an unscientific test by calling each other, and found we could hear the other person before answering about 25% of the time.
We all have the HTC Touch, but I have experienced this on my HTC Mogul; We also all have Sprint, but the incoming caller does not have to have Sprint, as it has done it with my friend who has Alltel.
Is this some sort of call screening feature of WinMo or is it a strange bug?
I've never noticed this with my Vogue or Mogul.
I recently purchased the VZW VX6900 and previously had the 6900 through Qwest.

i was running a custom rom a few months ago and when i'd get calls i could hear some sort of sounds comming from the rear speaker. i have never actually even thought that it could be from the incoming phone. but to be honest at that time it sounded like it was just some background whooshing sound.
i'm running vetvito's 2.1 rom now and i dont experience this anymore.
Same problem on my Sprint Mogul, but only recently.
And only from iPhone owners.
Hmm.
i have the same thing pen to me too. although it seems like it only happens when my girlfriend calls and she's driving in a certain area.
It's happened to me a few times too. It really freaks people out when I repeat to them what they were saying before I picked up!
It used to happen to be every time on my Alltel Touch until I upgraded to the latest ROM. I wish it still happened, I sort of enjoyed it at times.
It happens to me sometimes, too. It can be fun
Firstly, I live in Singapore.
Our phone/home numbers have only 8digits...
Whenever i make a new phonecall, the first 3 digits would get "bracket-ed" and "dash-ed"
Example:
Im dialling 12345678
and on the X1, it would display
(123) 456-78 after I've pressed call.
Anyway to remove the bracket and dashs?
Thank you.
Also, when i end call, there is a "teet teet teet" that sounds werid(from the speakers) is that normal?
do you have a third party software installed that has something to do with phone calls or contacts like resco photo contacts, because some have settings on how phone numbers appears when somebody is calling you. anyway i also have that "teet teet teet" sound after ending a call so i guess that is normal
As for the "teet teet teet"
Do anyone know how to disable it? (or play it through the earphone speaker instead?)
It's very irriaiting.
Just how imagine how much inconvience it would bring if you were having lessons, your phone rang, and after you managed to secretly answer calls to tell your friend that you're having lessons, it ends off with a loud 'teet teet teet', causing your teacher to find out you've just used your phone.
Or worse, when you're in the movies, and had to call someone for some important issues, to find youself ending your call with a loud 'teet teet teet' that caused everyone to get your attention.
Any fix or methods/way to disable OR to route it to the earphone speaker?(so that it would not be loud)
Thanks!
I have some problem with my phone. I don't know is the problem in the MIC or in SPEAKER.
When somebody(anybody) calls me and when he talks he can hear him self, something like an ECHO. I hear him very good.
Help please, people are very annoyed by this happening and often they get very frustrated after calling me
Thanks in advance

My experience is that, when there is a call waiting call comes in, the speaker phone turns on by itself. You may check if you have the same situation. Your other side cannot listen to you because you are far away from your phone and the speaker phone cannot pick up your voice.
Here is the fix from the forum if your case falls into this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3336118

Hi Everyone
I am having an issue with call waiting.
When using headphones and on a call, when another call comes in, both myself and the person I am speaking with hear an audible beep. I work as a psychotherapist and conduct some sessions by phone. It is confusing for the patient I am talking to (they wonder if they are getting a call!) and also unprofessional and disruptive. I have called Samsung and they are confused themselves and can't explain it. I have tried different headphones and it doesn't seem to solve the problem. The problem doesn't occur when I am not using headphones. I have also called by mobile carrier and they say it is a phone issue.
Does anyone have any ideas?
thanks SOOOO much,
Addieto
