I have tried to uninstall both the diamond beer app and the autumn dynasty game from my TP2 but there was no uninstall program. I have deleted all the files i could find but they are still listed when I go to all programs and then click a tab to add one.
Is there a way to completely remove something you install on your device?
Go to "Settings" tab
Tap "All Settings"
Tap "System"
Tap "Remove Programs"
Select accordingly and tap "Remove"
new to Windows Mobile, eh? Better read the wiki!
Yuppers, I am new to it!
Thanks for the info - I hadn't even noticed that. I'll check out the wiki too.

I have an obselete today program entry that is left over from an old program, does anyone know how to remove it. I cannot remove it from the list of programs displayed in Today by taking out the tick from the menu list as when I try to remove the tick I get a message saying "start menu - unable to move that item"
Any ideas please?

Is the program uninstalled?
Did you just delete parts of it?
I am wondering if it will not untick because part of it is running in the background.
You might try re-installing it and then uninstalling.
You could also try something like Sktools to examine running processes and stop any related ones.

The entry is from a previous version of Copilot. When the update removed the old version it left the old entry in the Today list along with another entry for the new version. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling without success.
Will SKtools give me the opportunity of getting rid of it permanantly or will it come back after a soft reset?

You could also try Today Plugin Uninstaller. Link: http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=22997

Sherpas's answer might work?
I suspect then, that it refuses to untick because it is either a broken link or it is now pointing to the new version that is ticked or running.
If you have all you need to re-install co pilot then an uninstall would likely remove the extra entry and if not at least I think it may allow you to untick it.
EDIT: Re sktools. I suggested that because it lets you shut down running processes. I thought perhaps it would not untick if it was`active. If you have sktools it would be worth trying. If not then as it's not a freeware application it might not be the first thing to try. (Though it does do a lot of very handy clear-out functions as well.) An unticked item as a today plugin would not be re-ticked by soft reset.

Dumb question- but maybe?
Forgive me if this seems dumb, but do you mean the TODAY screen or the START menu? (ie when you tap the start icon in the corner?)
The programs listed in the Start Menu are contolled by the control panel MENUS (Start->Settings->Personal->Menus)
The TODAY plug-ins are controlled by the TODAY control Panel (Start->Settings->Personal->Today)
I think this is the START MENU you're referring to.
The programs listed in the Menus list are the programs and shortcuts listed in the /Windows/Start Menu and Windows/Start Menu/Programs folders.
If a program deliberately installs a shortcut into the Windows/Start Menu folder, and places another in the Start Menu/Programs folder, you "can't move that item".
Use File explorer, go to My Device/Windows/Start Menu and delete whatever you don't want from there.
If it is actually items in the Today screen, then I'm at a loss.
I wondered about that but the OP refers to tick boxes that I took to mean the today plugins options.
Still he can let us know.
Mike
Nanastas you are a star !!
I manged to delete it via file explorer/windows/start menu.
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and help
Ahhh...so it was a "Start Menu" item! Hmmm...ok!

Is there anyway to get an direct link to the "All Programs" link under the Programs tab so i can use it as a soft left or right key on my TF3D Home page?
I don't use the Programs tab, but love the program launcher when i click "All Programs"
I searched in the Windows folder and don't know what to search for.
you can use HD Tweak to do this as well as many other usefull things that will make the touch hd easier to use
HDTweak can only add the regular Windows programs to the shortcut, i'm after the HTC version.
I want to know what file it is cause i can't find it so i can link it myself.

Rigth on you! I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday! (I'm on a Diamond)
It would be perfect as an homescreen applauncher with great scroll feeling and zero loading time! without haveing to install a new app!
One thing I would like to see is a fast scroll alphabetic column on the right just like in contacts. other than that it is perfect!
I know about Touchlaunch but it has realy annoying loading time, and could not make the scrolling work satisfying.
Bump
come on! Someones got to know what file it is that opens the "All Programs" link!
Hi all!
I just installed the AT&T leaked test ROM + XboxMod Rhodium. I like the fact that the "Programs" TF3D tab is gone and instead pressing the Windows Start will bring me to my favorite apps.
However, the "All Programs" soft-button still flattens the contents of //Windows/Start Menu . There are many apps there to begin with and I'll have a crapload more installed soon - I don't want to flick through a long, flat list to run what I want. Frankly, I find it rather annoying to do that every time. I will be adding my most frequently used apps/games/utils to the favorites, but that has limited space.
So, here are my ideas for improvements (I wish I could hack it together myself, but I have neither the time, nor the in-depth knowledge):
1) The "All Programs" list should have an alphabetical vertical scroll, similar to the new "All People" list: touch a letter to go to the apps starting with that letter.
2) Make the "All Programs" list follow the folder hierarchy of //Windows/Start Menu with sub-lists. I can then re-arrange //Windows/Start Menu to my liking and it'd be instantly reflected in "All Programs".
3) Add the capability to add shortcuts to folders on the favorite apps button panel itself. Right now it allows me to add apps only from the "All Programs" list.
The above solutions are not mutually exclusive.
Basically, I am looking for a more organized, finger-friendly way to launch programs.
PS: Yes, I have used QuickMenu before, which I found to be a very good solution, unfortunately, it's not very finger-friendly and it doesn't fit into the TF3D2 theme and user experience at all.
This would be a fantastic enhancement to the Rhodium TF3D experience.
My additional/alternative requests would be more simple & straight-forward:
- Identify the exe for the WinMo Start screen, and create a .lnk to it and add it to programs folder, allowing me to set one of my favorites in Rhodium Start screen to be a link to the traditional WinMo Start Menu experience.
- In the All Programs TF3D screen, add a right soft-key to launch the traditional WinMo Start experience

Good news: someone already did point 2 and 3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=442341)
Bad news: it does not work on new devices with VGA and WVGA display.
Hi there!
Ive seen the new shortcuts on the homescreen on every video again and again. The number of programs you can add there is extensible but limited. So is there an "All Programs" button like on previous TouchFlo versions on the programs tab or at least a possibility to see all programs installed? Maybe im blind or have forgotten about it but i think i havent seen something like this on any video.
Thanks!
Phil
Sadly, it doesn't exist. I have been asking around if anyone can port the old Manila 2.1 start menu and program tab over yet, but no one has responded to say yes it can be done
Damnit...so theres no scrollable list with all programs installed on the device in Sense anymore? Really no way?
Isn't WM 6.5 start menu about the same ?
Yes and I believe that's exactly the reason why the programs tab is gone.
Yeah, could be the reason for it. But a bad exchange if you ask me...but there are other programs out there that could be useful to me like TouchLaunch.

The "All Programs" button in TouchFlo just went to an icon view of the "\Windows\Start Menu\Programs" folder - This is exactly what tapping the "Start" button in WM-6.5 now does.
a great alternative for this is a program called launchpad which gives you a program launcher from the taskbas star shortcut but also give you the normal windos shotcut fron the hard key below. try it you wont be dissapointed
from 4pda.ru forum
1. disable manila
2. delete key HKLM>Software>HTC>Manila>Configuration, if exists
3. install the cab
4. delete ManilaFull.xml from /Windows
5. SR
6. enable manila
thanks to jamrecords
sorry for my english

If you use BsB Tweaks and enable the option "Windows Settings - Show normal settings in start menu" then the settings icon in the start menu goes back to being the classic settings icon (takes you to "all settings").
Instal BSB Tweaks which has a toggle to turn on the 'real' windows settings in start menu.
I know there's another solution to do this, but i don't know where the folder is located to link it on start menu.
I won't install anything additionally for windows settings
Its not a folder to link, it's a control panel item, and therefore isn't easy to link to like programs are.
DO a google on 'links to control panel items windows mobile'
Are you actually saying that you want the settings icon in the start menu to take you to the same thing you get when you click "all settings" on the settings tab?
If so, a 30 second search of this forum turned up this post...

If that's not what you want then can you please explain better?
