ugh...
tried updating radio and hardSPL
seems like my phone is bricked. nothing will turn on. is there any way to revive it? any help will be nice. thanks
you cant fastboot? or recovery?
can't fastboot. buttons don't do anything. screen won't even turn on
BUT the fully charged LED works... but nothing is turning on
did you try and upgrade the radio? if you did you have a fancy paper weight... not gonna get it back to life.... the only thing you do is the spl and thats only if you want to flash a rom that requires it not many do with the sapphire/mytouch.... try and send it back and make up some BS but dont tell them you tried to "root" the phone just act dumb all you can do pretty much
thanks mt3g lol
yea i flashed the radio.
but that went fine. then i tried flashing the HARDSPL and it showed up to the box to the phone and went black

I have read and read and read. I have "bricked" my phone in the past and fixed it. I have used, tested, and flashed many roms from this site (Thanks to all cooks for their work!) but I still consider myself somewhat 'new' to troubleshooting.
I woke up this morning to make some important phone calls today and as luck would have it, my phone was stalled again. It's been doing that for a few weeks now. My last flash was Open Touch 5.0 UL I believe (either that or 5.2 biggy) and it has been working great except for the occasional freeze.
EDIT: Forgot to add, the actual problem is now it won't boot up after it froze this morning. Just sits at the boot screen
So I've tried my other methods of fixing it... /edit
Except this morning nothing is working. I have tried flashing with Orig. T-mobile ruu, tried SD flashing with the RUU_signed.nbh, tried restarting the computer, phone, removing battery and sim... NOTHING! When trying the sd flash (which I've never done before today, it reads and tells me to push the down button but then goes to bootloader screen and just sits there. With the RUU I'm getting err 300 but I'm using the SAME RUU (4.10...) that I've used in the past to reflash my phone AND tried the new one (4.26...)
Possible problem: Does it matter what kind of usb cable you use? I don't have the normal one I use as I am not home but I figured usb is usb...
I've read about it being a motherboard issue, how common is this?
I've read somethings about MTTY, would this apply to me??
Please help, anyone who has any suggestion, I'll try it!!
Stats:
IPL 4.10.0002
SPL 4.10.0000
NOT hard-spl'd
Wing w/ Open Touch Project 5.0 or 5.2
actualy the sd method needs hard spl thats all i can really provide
I appretiate it, that I did not know... I could barely find anything on how to do it even.
im having the same problem bt instead of freezing da screen jus goes different colors or jus goes gray and stays der
Thats basically what mine did. The colors would get messed up and no matter what button i pressed it would not do anything. My advice to you edrift, is BACK UP YOUR STUFF NOW and reflash it asap if you can still reboot. I can get into my phone at all now.
yea i tink i might jus throw my phone away.dis is jus gettin rediculous
ok i have a issue with my fone my phone is stuck on the tri-colored screen which says:
TITA100
SPL-1.20.01ipro
well i am as u can see im not good with tech. stuff like this but i would like sum advice or ideas on how to fix my problem. well here is how it all happened. my fone started off fine, out of the blue it started turning off by itself, then coming back on. it will reboot fine then as soon as i touch the screen or try to text or call it shut off on me. first i thought my battery was dying. that didnt work kept it on the charger switched out the battery, still nothing ended up doing the same. so a fren told me to hard reset or press the ok button pwr n the reset button at bottom using the stylst. now im stuck in bootloader mode after i ran a program:
HARD-SPL-MFG
and was told to flash the fone, which i had no idea what to do the person who was helping me i didnt hear frm again n i was stuck in this tricolored screen what should i do? i just want my phone up and running so i can use it once again...if thats possible..it be great i love the phone n dnt want the money i invested into it wasted
thank you soo much,
If I had to guess, it sounds like you have installed a SPL that is not compatible with your existing radio and rom.
First thing is I would try downloading the stock rom for your phone, I believe you can download this from HTC's website, I would download the newest and the one prior to it. Try installing the older of the 2 first since your SPL that you do have is older, and if it fails to install, then try the newer of the two.
If it still fails, come back here and I'm sure somebody else can give you more advice.

Hi all,
Maybe someone can help me out!
I am stuck at work - cant even really surf but had to post as I just feckered my mates HD2!
BOOOOO!!
So I installed HSPL and its still there.
Flashed up to energy ROM (APRIL 1st)
Then got stuck in reboot cycle - phone wouldnt boot unless it had power plugged in.
Took battery out of it and put mine in it which had higher charge - not much.
Then I got it booted into 6.5. Customised and changed settigns for Vodaphone.
Rebooted and phone stuck in loop again.
Couldnt get back into Vodaphone.
Went to bootloader and then used the official:
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship.exe
Flashed the bugger.
Then tried to boot again.
No boot without power inserted
Phone will not complete boot even with power
gives HTC white welcome, shows ROM etc
vibrates backto HTC white welcome.
Rinse
Repeat
Can anyone give me any ideas what I can do with this? He is coming to get it at 5.30; I am meant to have FPSECE Morph gear and all sorts of other shizzle for him
He is going to get a brick
any ideas would be GREATLY welcome.
no flames please if I missed something, I am desperate to sort this quick and quiet.
Try make Task29 and then reflash Radio and ROM, it could help you i think...
Have you installed radio 2.08 ?
You should. You can install it by downloading it and use customRUU to install the file.
Put phone in bootloader first.
Your mate's phone will be revived
What radio do you have installed. The NRG roms require radio 2.08.50 in order to boot.
Yea sounds like a radio issue. You didn't mention what phone? US Tmo HD2 or everywhere else HD2?
Is GSM HD2
I have done all above task 29 new radio - loads of roms.....stuck in circle.
Phone will not boot without apower lead in it
Ahh feck [email protected]
What version radio does it read then when you are stuck in your bootscreen ?
is it still 2.06 or 2.08 now ?
Installing HSPL doen NOT upgrade your Radio.
What is your SPL version ?
And "fecking ass" is groce. Try fecking some koent.

Actually they dont require 2.08... they require a radio without .51 numbering.
You can use
2.07.50.27
or
2.08.50.08
either will work just fine.

True, I use 2.07 (old signature LOL), but just mentioned 2.08 as it's the recommended one.
Oh ****e
Ok all,
Big warning to all here:
See my attached image.
I bent the left most battery connection pin out a tiny little bit - so little I didnt notice it.
Then the phone would obviouslly only boot without the power plugged in.
The pin was being pushed out! and not connecting with the battery.
I bent it back and it booted whilst I was explaiing that I was having teething trouble with his new ROM.
HAHA
Thanks VERY much to all for ideas and fast feedback - really thought I done it in then! Bloody hell Id have had to give him mine!!!
OH NOOOOOOOOOOO!!
@ the try some Koent line......OH GOD LOLOLOL
Waht with the relief of fixing the device and a joke like that, I was ROFL ing it - Not RALPH ing it...
Thanks again all
Yarod, the above advice for the radio version applies only to the custom rom.
By flashing a factory rom from the memory card you have probably overwritten hspl which is why this dosen't boot.
First thing to do is reflash hspl in the bootloader, via usb. If you remove your memory card and hard reset, then you should get a working phone. Assuming it's a vodafone branded handset you can use a vodafone branded rom without the need for hspl - there's a 1.66 version up on the uk site.
If you want a custom rom, use hspl and check the radio requirements before flashing
and most importantly flash via the usb only to avoid overwriting hspl.
hth,
mike
hah! bent pin, nice one. Bet you felt a huuuge wave of relief wash over ya when it booted eh? Gotta love that post adrenaline comedown.
here we go again with another victim....
1. Hard reset
a. turn off your HD2
b. hold Volume up and down and press end button till it will vibrate show white screen that you wanna hard reset
c. release volume up and down
d. press volume up for continue Hard reset
e. press volume up for continue boot up
it will boot up your device...
2. install radio for energy click here or herefor download
3. Use Customs RUU from here
4. flash your radio
5. now you are good to go....
i hope this helps i know how you feel cause i had same problem and this phone worth a lot so... take care...

Hey! I did the same mistace, u need to download HSPLv2 , Install 2.06.0000
Then volume down + power botton, install stock ROM from HTC.com, and reboot.
That worked for me, hope it works for you.
Cheers.
lol
hi all this is fixed see my previous post, i had bent the battery pin - so small didn't notice it. i wonder if anyone else has suffered from this?
many thanks
i am tempted to fart in the general direction of the "another victim" statement
I'm a fixer not a victim lol...

It just happened to me!! A billion thanks mate
Another reboot loop victim...
Bent battery pin seems to have been the culprit for me as well! sat on charge now to get it to 100% before I start reinstalling cabs and stuff.
here's the story,
i installed rom manager from the market. flashed the clockwork recovery using it, then tried to flash a new rom using rom manager. i am sure that the rom is compatible with my settings. now my phone is in the boot loop and i can't get into recovery nor the bootloader. any help?
32a s-off
radio 6.35
2007 spl
i can only remember the basics of my device since i can't get into the bootloader...
THANKSSS
Did you pull the battery and then try booting into recovery/bootloader? If you get thrown into the bootloop when you put the battery back in, try holding back/home while putting the battery in.
Thanks for helping me! I actually did try that method but I was back to boot loop again. I really hate that "Rogers" screen.
Does that mean I'm bricked for good?
as it turns out, HTC makes magical device as it cured itself from the brick!!
i basically gave up and just left it running till the battery goes out, the next day, it is booted into the rom.
truly magical!!!!
True happened to me once when I tried to load my first rom. Just let it sit there while I'm searching the forums trying to look for some answers then voila it booted up properly
too bad i semi bricked it AGAIN!!! i really am bad at this...
flashed rogers official rom over cm. should have done some research first. still trying to fix it. but its not bad, learn a lot everything time i do something wrong.
Did you wipe prior to flashing a new rom?
Sent from my HTC Magic using XDA App
I've done the same mistake and my device hanged at rogers rom with radion 3.22 and SPL 1.76 S-ON. I've briked mine very bad that time, but yours might yet be recoverable. If you have s-off, the i think you're saved. Post your hboot info here...
Hi... I have similar problem... but my phone can't power on... in have samsung galaxy gio (GT-S5660M) after using rom manager... the phone reboot and can't start... nothings appear in the screen... I have only black screen... nothings appears
I try to remove the battery and put again... but nothing... I try to remove the sd card too and restart again... nothing... the cellphone not power on... I dont see any screen of logo, boot... nothing...
When I apple rom manager... the phone are disconnected (not charging)
Anybody can help me please ??
I dont know what happend :S
Ok so i think i bricked my phone
Here's what happend:
My ROM was freezing up on me constantly so tried a different one, but had the same effect. MAGLDR 1.13 had problems booting and so had Clockwork.
So i figured i'd flash a winmo 6.5 rom to start all over. Now when i tried to flash the stock ROM i crashed at 8% i could only remove the battery, and now its unresponsive to everything, soft rest, boot into bootloader, normal boot, charging.
I really need my phone, does anybody have an idea?
Thanks.
Greetings.
i would pull your battery
hold down volume down and red power buttone then install battery while holding
that should get you into bootloader screen
you should also post what you tried to flash and what phone u have to get to this point.
possibly get a battery thats charged completly to try
The battery trick didnt work.
I tried to get rid of MAGLDR by flashing this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623283
and then the dutch one.
At 8% of flashing, an error occured. Had to pull out my battery and my phone has not responded to anything since.
Still nobody with any ideas?
I know the help on this forum isn't much but come on, im really desparate over here.

...when you are not able to get to the tri color bootmenu by holding volume down while starting your phone then your phone is bricked.
The only way to unbrick it, is to use a jtag adapter..not very cheap, about 200$ and more!?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA Premium App
At 8%, it's flashing the radio/SPL/etc (the important stuff). Plug it in to the charger. Any lights at the top? If not, bricked.
Problem you have is sort of referred to as "stuck radio ",,,,(mostly by me, to be fair) and you aren't getting answered because there seems to be no real fix for it. Some have managed after much trial and error to get a radio to flash, but most cases seem to end with nothing but JTAG or new mainboard.
Something that came up recently was flashing the 2.07.51 radio (not for tmous phones! ) so you could give that a try. Be interested in your results.
you could also try the "sd and sim and battery out, chill the phone in fridge/freezer,sealed in a bag, rom/radio image on the SD ready to flash" method. If this works then you have heat induced hardware failure.
