Hello all,
I've an issue with HD2, when I receive a call and the phone was in sleep mode, the screen turn on, the "Slide to Reply" was shown, BUT I CAN REPLY USING THE PHONE BUTTON
That's very annoying, because if the phone is in my pocket, I can accidentally reply...
My question is, is there any registry value I changed for that?
How can I solve that issue?
Thanks!
No one?
Now I know, it's a normal behaviour (also HD1 do the same)...
But is there no way to solve it??

this topic has been discussed before:

so far, this method werks but not for long..
method: Settings---> Sounds and Notifications-----> new SMS----> Disable Alert, Vibrator, Falshing Light !!! Basically disable everything and press OK to return to the touch FLO home.
After that, Go again and enable the SMS notification with or without Vibration as you like and it will work !!!
I had the same problem when i used the nueDynamicClock...
Now, it seems to work well (with the version 1.3)
Hello,
I've been using Touch HD at least 7 months. When i first bought i never get this issue but lately my phone wakes up when in sleep mode even i dont press power on/off button.
First i thought it's the software problem so restore my stock rom( 1.14 German) but no luck same problem happened. i tried many cooked/original rom again no luck.
So it must be hardware problem, then begin when it happens this wake up issue. Generally after sleep mode actives 2-3 seconds later it wakes up.
and i realized that it wakes up when the stylus is in. When phone is in sleep mode and stylus is in if you press the case where the stylus is, it wakes up,
(not all the time) but when stylus is out nothing happens .
anyone has the same problem, at least have a solution for this.
Can we disable when the stylus is out the phone is wakes up setting?
I'm using s2u2 program to unlock phone, so it doesn't call anybody at my contact list by mistake...
Hey LostXP,
I've got similar problems while using S2U2 - it never happened before. I think this must be a Software-Problem generated by S2U2... anybody out there having the same probs.
My HD wakes up while beeing asleep, trying to create voice-orders or initiating video-calls...
Find the mistake... I used the standard Headset which tried initialise calls because of pressing the call-button without recognizing it!

Sometimes when my topaz is off, it won't turn back on or wake up. I know this isn't a problem with the button because it also doesn't respond to phone calls or charging. The only way to fix it is to reset it by pressing the red button. This is really frustrating since I will miss calls etc. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution? Please Help!

Is there any way to avoid answer or reject incoming calls by accidentaly pressing the hard buttons?
This is happening to me sometimes. The phone inside my pocket and, by accident, I answer to some calls. I wish this could be done only by sliding the screen bar, as in Windows Mobile.
Has anyone find a walkaround for this?
Thank you in advance.
I don´t know if I was clear about my question. I mean, the Android port to HD2 has a "bug" witch consists in the ability of answering or rejecting phone calls by pressing the hard buttons, even if the screen is locked.
Has anyone notticed this? Can I disable this?
Thank you!

Remove the telephone functionality of device... Ah I feel old.
Funny But I need a real solution. Doesn't this bother anyone else?
So you want to disable the hardware buttons from being able to answer or hangup phone calls? That's what they're there for, no matter what your screen says. It's a "bug" in winmo also, and every other cell phone out.

Nope, it´s not. In WinMo I can only answer/reject a call using hard buttons only if the screen is unlocked. If it is locked, the only way to do so is by sliding the screen.
Any tips, guys?
I agree on this, for me irs a realy big problem. It happens everytime my phone rings while in my pocket.

I'm glad someone has the same problem as I do. Hope somebody could help us.
I have it too. Not sure sarcasm is going to fix this though!!
I also have this problem when phone in pocket!
couldn't you just remap the call button to something else...?
Well first its not a green button for me.
And yeah! that sux! i guess its the easiest thing that a developer can do.. i imagine that it can be fixed by changing a number from the drivers like "AnswerButton=0 or False"
I am also facing this issue now and then. Solution would be appreciated
I am suffering from this problem, too.
Already posted that on different threads here.
Hoping that this is fixed soon.
Is there any chef reading to this post? Do you face this problem also? It would be nice hearing from you if this problem is easy or not to solve.
Thanks.
It would be very nice if there is a solution for this problem.
Yesterday I started testing Android on my HD2 and I like it. But this problem would be a "no go", becaus I think ppl don't like to talk with my pocket :-/
No solution?

I've been using "screen suite" (paid, from Market) but there are probably others

Tried, but every configuration tested, don't prevent accepting/rejecting calls with hardware keys
I think a small tool with two options would be enough:
- Accept calls with hardware button? yes/no
- Reject calls with hardware button? yes/no
I can't find such a tool, so I've to use windows.
For the people who haven't found out yet, I found the solution to this problem.
I know it's a bump but might help some people out.
