I saw the application "Caxixi" that was made for certain Samsung WM phones but upon loading it to the TP2 it errors but you can't see what it says because a splash screen that doesnt display properly covers the screen and wont go away forcing you to restart.
It would be interesting if someone can port this over somehow.

Hallo, I have a cool applcation idea that I plan to implement that would probally make thiefes return my MDA-Pro after they stole it.
For that reason I need to be able to run an application or show a clickable screen on the MDA-Pro BEFORE login. That screen is supposed to be shown EVERYTIME the MDA-Pro is turned on. You can only proceed to the login screen from there with a certain keybaord shortcut. Also doing a reset should not disbale this feature. Can that be done some how ? If so how ?
I saw somewhere a password screen that was a picture and you had to click in just the right spot of the picture to gain access. I imagine that your message could be a picture to accomplish this. As for a hard reset solution, you'd have to add it to the ext rom so it would be re-installed automatically.

This can be nicely resource edited to match your theme.
However, I've stopped using all such programs because they reset your hardware button settings if you're using AEButton Plus or any third party mapper (eg ButtonMax).
I don't think this will get your phone back. I'm writing a program that might though. Working on it, I'll keep you posted. In the mean time, check out IIWPO.

I have already finished an app that does what I want:
It it has a little embedded window showing what the video conference camera currently sees. It displays some fake government info and an animated GPS localisation icon. It has several other little scary acting features (such as a windows that pops up after a short random while, saying "EuroSecure GPS localisation data and video sequence sucessfully transmitted!" ) and the thief can see the adress where the device should be returned too. That application can only be cancelled with a certain keycombination. Now my only problem is getting this application to ALWAYS run BEFORE the login screen.
I know I saw somewhere that now you can use split screen with the same app. I even remember the video demonstrating it where the person had messaging split screen with two different contacts. I just tried that and it won't let me split the screen with messaging when I'm in the messaging app.
Is there an option somewhere to enable this??

Good question. This seems to be one of those advertised features that didn't actually happen. Kinda like the advertised AllShare program not being able to actually stream to older Samsung devices
I'm hoping someone will code a hack for this... It's a feature I was looking forward to.

I'm a Blackberry Q10 user. We can run Android apps on Blackberry because there is a emulator that comes with the phone. Most applications run very smoothly, although there is one that doesn't work. And I just don't know why...
The Z10 (the bigger Blackberry) can run "The Simpsons Tapped Out" without any problems, although the Q10 (the Blackberry with touch and keyboard) cannot. When you launch the application it will show the splash screen (EA logo, etc) and then it will turn black for infinite time.
First I thought it was a resolution issue. I decompiled the standard APK from the Play Store, changing the resolution with some success. The splash screen is now the "normal" size for the screen (720x720). Rest is still the same. Then I thought, it might be a data issue. I've downloaded all the data, extracted it, etc. Without success.
Now, I am clueless, I'm not a programmer and I tried for several hours fixing the problem. I just can't, I need help on this on.
Would anyone here be so kind, helping me in this process of finding out why the screen turns black?

You have to logcat, but since this is a BB device it's hard to help, maybe some libraries are missing in the emulator

The emulator comes standard with BlackBerry OS 10. The APK runs fine on a Z10 but not on a Q10. Is log cat an application?
Logcat is a program that tracks all system actions, you can read the log to debug your rom or apps
for your prblem i suggest that the game need specific resultion that is not avaiable on the small q10 screen

I'm not sure of the reason, but the touch screen of my Yotaphone 2's e-ink stopped working. The e-ink screen itself visualises what it is supposed to, but it doesn't react to touches. The LED screen is OK. I thought this may be a software problem, so I did a factory reset that would probably eliminate it. It didn't, and the problem that I have now is that I can't even use the LED screen, because at startup it runs the tutorial, and the tutorial requires you to interact with the e-ink screen, which, in my case, is impossible, because it is not responsive to touches. So I never get to the "desktop" and the app launcher - the tutorial has to be completed. If I slide from the top rim I can get into Settings. I've tried stopping the process from the list of active apps, but it doesn't work. Anyone has an idea what to do?
I have the same issue yesterday and couldn't find a way to bypass the tutorial. As you I tried to kill the process via adb and didn't work. I also thought that there might be a place in the phone where the app checks to see if it has been run as it only runs the first time.
Two things to try:
1. Do you have the folder /data/data/com.yotadevices.yotaphone2.tutorial ? I see this in my phone so maybe it is created as a check. The folder is empty, you can try to create it as root to see if this bypasses?
2. Send the events via adb sendevent to the /dev/input/event4 or via input tap. You will need to calculate the coordinates somehow.

There was nothing I could do about it, but I found a workaround which would at least let me use the phone somehow. From the bottom side you can launch Google search and search for a popular android app, which will take you to the Play store. From then I installed Sidebar Lite by Mohammad Adib (probably other sidebar launchers would also work) and then the sidebar launcher works on top of the Tutorial and you can dock several apps in there.
i need help with it i need to customize it,
first i want it to to luch a browser in especific url and in full screen after android boots even when looses power and comes back on i want to to show that specific page, also if is posible to customize the system to show my own logo when is booting. but most important thing is to have it launch a browser in automaticly after it boots on its own and go into full screen even if the browser gets refresh the reason im seying refesh is because i have an autoreflesh javascript on the website that i want to display from a web server, can some one help me out. i currently found that TV BRO Browser allows me to stay in full screen, even if it refreshes that awesome, but i want to be able to have the browser to download the web content, so even when the box looses internet still displays the content. please help me out

why all this complication?
it's way easier to develop an app that auto-starts on bootup, which opens your website in full screen and auto refresh every xx days, hours, minutes or even seconds.
how do you think most apps example like costco, ISPs, Banking apps work? 99% of them are apps that open their website which is optimized for mobile devices, so you can only navigate through that specific site.
I'm sure there are some android app developers here in xda that can do this for you in no time
