Hello,
Ever since I updated my T-Mobile XDA to the 2003 Rom, my active sync will not recognize the device while hooked up to my PC via USB. I saw someone posted a similar problem, but solved it by disabling their computers firewall. I have tried this and still no luck.
Can anyone offer any further assistance for me?
Thanks
Same problem here, but with kitchen 4.00.11 ROM (without T-Mobile customisation). Have no problem at work, cannot get it to work at home.....
Phil
Did you try upgrading activesync to 3.7 or doing a complete re-install of activesync?
Be sure to run the latest version of Activesync. (right now:3.7)
I had the exact same problem before I did...
Regards, Tore
stink and cpu time
is it just me or does active stink really eat up cpu cycles?
both my core and surface go through the roof when its sync'd but fine when its just connected..... when you stop syncronization or pull out the xda... the temps go back down to 33*c and 34*c respectively.... takes up 80+ % of time....
am I the only one with problems like that or have Microsoft just proved they dont have a clue about technology?
running v3.7
sync problems
I have the same issues on mine - can't sync via usb - tried three computers no workie - but ipaq syncs ok
reinstall active sync doesn't work
I can sync via IR w/no problems though
Please note MS stipulate that ActiveSync 3.7 is required for PPC2003 Xda II.
Serial and Infrared work fine with 3.6, but not USB.

Which ROM version are you running 4.00.10 or 4.00.16?
4.00.16
Just Reset Your PDA then connect your usb again
(Work with my xda 4.00.05 & ActiveSync 3.7.1)
Hi there,
I've got a problem with Active Sync.
I'm using Dutty's Holy grail rom, with HSPL and radio 2.07.
All works fine (except the data connection loss), but it's the second time now that Active Sync can't seem to find my phone. It's says Acitve Sync is unable to connect with the Windows Mobile device.
First time I had to hard reset my phone and it worked again. I'm hoping there is an other way to get my phone connected again with active sync, without a hard reset of my phone, since I've done lots of reg changes and installed lots of programs...
I've re-installed Active Sync, but that wasn't a solution.
Can someone help me please?
Thanx!

Next time please just post in myt hread. Regarding activesync which windows are u running on ur PC. I saw this once on the holy grail series but I'm using WINDOWS 7 just installed, I could just traced it down with wifi enabled when connecting through activesync and when I turn off wifi it works. So im still not sure it its a rom bug or a windows 7 bug or something else

He Duttythroy,
thanx for your quick responce! Sorry I posted a new thread, but I was afraid if I posted my problem in your thread not many people would read it and I wouldn't get any responce... I'm really hoping the problem can be solved without performing a hard reset...
I'm still using windows XP SP3. I haven't had any problems with my Tytn II and active sync. It started with the HD2, unfortunatelly with your rom. Perhaps any other rom would give me the same problem, but I haven't tried that because I like your rom's.
I'm also using the latest version of Act. Sync, 4.5 if I'm not wrong.
I don't have WIFI on my pc, so I can't check if it will work that way, I'm also lacking blue tooth.

.
I am using german stock rom 1.48 and had this problem twice. I had to hard reset ervery time.
Sometimes, when I connect with the PC the HD2 freezes and I have to soft reset.
I'm also on XP SP3 and get similar problems but most of the time it's just that the sync is super slow... seems that phone is busy doing something... seems to occassionally do that after a while and really slows down... going to try going to the latest HTC ROM...
haven't had any problems with several roms (also Dutty's HG) and windows 7
Did you disable the "Enable faster Data synchronization"?????

So ... I'm SO happy that i've got Android to work on my phone. Everything is working very well, and I see that I'm having the same issues as others are having, i.e. battery life and choppy phone calls.
My problem though pertains to me not being able to sync to active sync on my computer. It says error when it goes to install the driver. I'm using windows 7 active sync.
Also, another problem i'm having is i can't open up astro anymore. After about 4 days installing Android, it says "error" and force closes the program.
Anyone can help me?
Thanks
ActiveSync is good only for WinMo phones.
Under Android sync is different. You can sync your phone online with a Google acc if you have.
+1: ActivSync = WM only
On my Sense version I use HTCSynch.
Works really fine on W7 x64 with Outlook 2010 x86.
For Astro, just try to uninstall/reinstall (if not in build)
HTC Sync not working on my builld. I have the darkstone HD2Froyo V3 (26-October-2010) version installed an everything works, including wifi and phone audio. But I have not been able to get HTC Sync to work. I also tried a program called Android Manager WIFI that does pretty much the same thing using WIFI instead of USB. Neither of the programs would allow me to connect the PC to HD2. The USB File transfer works fine. Any suggestions?
Hi
After i install all tips and tricks the pc not recognize my htc hd2 pone and cant connect to the activsync .
Active sync
go to settings, click on connections, click on usb to pc, uncheck Enable faster data synchronization.
That should work.
Is this normal ActiveSync behavior?
I am having a different ActiveSync problem.I have to go to my task manager and close ActiveSync like all the time. I can close it and close the task manager then go back to task manager and it be there again right away sometimes. Aside from it being anoying I also think it is cause my battery to drain some what faster and my HD2 to need me to run cleanRam alot more often if you know what I mean. This only sarrted after I flashed the official T-Mobile updated ROM, it was not happening with the first stock ROM. I have seens did a warranty echange and my replacement HD2 has the same ActiveSync issue. Is this normal behavour for ActiveSynce? Or is this non normal behavior?
