Because of some problems with my bank, I am not able to buy "the gorgeous" online..
So could you please advise me a retailer in UK?

Try these guys (brick and mortar shop in London, just off Tottenham Court Road): www.inkino.co.uk
Once again..
XDA palls proved themselves
Thanks alot guys!!
inkino rocks!
Hi again,
Got my HD2 from INKINO guys and can say only one thing, they rock. Even though they have a small shop, they have the proper understanding of customer service. I can recommend them to everyone in or around London.
Thanks Shasarak for the tip!
Cheers

Good luck
Q.
greetings !
My name is Jehal kangoosariam , I would like to pay £70, 000 for your item by western union - I am buying it for my brother in Nigeria as a pancake day present ........
seriously mate - just tried to sell mine on ebay and got so much crap it was unbeleivable ! gave up in the end
Good luck though (and be careful ! )
Ha ha! So true.
I have already had responses from people such as this ... a jumble of words so random and bizarre as to have surely been run through google's translation service and then read out into a bad speech recognition program by a Guatemalan goat herder with a slight hunch and a hare lip.
Thought I would post a reminder! I always forget to bid on auctions and therefore don't win. Only 3 hours left to bid for your chance to be a winner! Don't miss out!
Hi there - hope the auction goes well - how did you unlock it - or was it unlocked by default?
Aution won by a new user with no feedback - good luck with that...
Cheers,
Steve.
Hi it was unlocked by default.
Oh ye of little faith!
It was bought by a charming lady in London.
Who wanted it shipped to her husband.
In Nigeria.
It's legit right?!
Scam the Scammers
I read about this guy who sold his powerbook, and it was bought by an obvious scammer. He sent a big woden block with POWERBOOK written on it and old keyboard keys stuck on it, and posted it to the guy in nigeria, claiming its value as $1200. Of course, the guy who received it gladly payed the 20% import tax on it from customs and excise, as well as the $50 recorded delivery cost. I honestly suggest you do the same, shaft these low-lifes who waste our time
Also, in the auction, block buyers will -1 or less feedback...
a few weeks ago i sold a iPAQ hx2110 ob ebay. Not for bidding, for "Buy-now". Who boughts it? An Australien who wants me to ship to Nigeria.
Is there anything you can sell on ebay without selling it to these damn bastards of the nigeria connection???
Hope you sell it the next time to a "real" buyer!
I suppose, if they pay for the goods, then does it matter where you send it? The key thing is that they do actually pay. One other problem is that if they use PayPal with a stolen credit card, then apparently, the funds can be withdrawn from you at a later time - not nice at all. I think PayPal should be more rigorous about that sort of thing and take responsibiliy in that situation. Some hope.
Cheers,
Steve.
just create your auction, using a BUY-IT-NOW with immediate payment only, that way they have to pay you in order to close the auction. I've used that each time I've sold any electronic item since someone tried to scam me when I sold a mobile phone a few years back. Never had any problems since
hey guys, anyone had any experience with HTC customer support in the USA? does anyone have their number/contact information? i can't seem to find it anywhere.

Try here: http://america.htc.com/about/contact-us.html
thanks. screen alignment issue with tytn
HTC America won't help you... sorry!
seriously??? what do i need to do!
Assuming you've got a TyTN, first call the reseller you bought the phone from. They should be able to help set this up for you. If your device needs service, it will be handled by HTC Europe, which means you'll have to ship it to Germany...
The only exception I can think of to this rule right now would be an 8525 purchased from Cingular (in which case you'd deal directly with Cingular for service).
unfortunately i bought it off of ebay. i'll try emailing HTC USA, maybe they can point me in the right direction. thanks.
Alas, this is the risk you take when buying from eBay... you're totally on your own...
Best of luck, but I can tell you others have tried only to be given the proverbial "deer in the headlights over the phone" -- "what's a TyTN..."
Yikes...
thanks. here's hoping for the best. i'll post my findings heh.
I have had the same problem, the only way to solve this problem is to go through HTC Europe as TyTn is intended for the European market, and take my word for it HTC UK is one of the most useless CS I've run into so far. Frankly speaking they are the reason i wouldn't be buying another ****y HTC device. Have had enough after Jamin and TyTn, seriously they are ripping people off. Try symbian for a change. Anyway I think if you know anyone in Europe, you can send them the device and they can take the device in to a service center and get a replacement for you. In my case my online vendor was helpful enough to get the device repaired. HTC America will simply tell you to contact HTC Europe.
I was attempting to use another thread but...I'm a little pressed for time. Question:
I'm ready to hit confirm at Clove.co.uk, is this device in WWE? Some mentioned a Telecommunication form....can I fill that out early? Lastly, the site says a two year warrant with the device, is that true?
Sorry if these questions are redundant....but I have never order from across the seas (live in US). I have shipped but never ordered.
Thanks in advance for the reply!!!!
why don't you decrease the stress level by ordering from expansys in the us? it's in stock.
i myself orderd from clove last thursday and waiting for it to come today or tomorrow. It's a UK store, so it's naturally to assuse that ship the wwe. the 2yr warranty is offered by HTC, not clove.
Because I thought that expansys didnt offer the warrant. I thought maybe it would only be through clove.
But you sayin that HTC is offering the warrant? Doesnt it matter where you purchase it?
i heard it through a review that the 2yr warranty if offered by HTC. I guess the only way to confrim is to call clove and or expansys to inquire about the warranty.
Hey thanks copualt3. I appreciate it. I will call expansys and see if they offer it. Then call clove to see if its a company warranty or an HTC.
Thanks buddy!

I have known Chris Love (owner of Clove Technologies) for more years than I can remember) and can vouch for his professional conduct and integrity towards his customers.
Funnily enough I have been in contact with him only this morning (sorting out an issue with the developers of CoPilot Live 7 (ALK Technologies).
If you have the slightest concern Chris and his wife Jill will be very happy to answer any concerns.

Thanks Beards. Its really good to put a personality behind the corporate names!!!!

I ordered one from www.expansys-usa.com last Tuesday. They told me that it would arrive the next day. Then they told me that it would ship out on Friday, then Monday (today), then Tuesday (tomorrow). Now they're telling me that they wont get any more in until the first week of December. What's going on? I just want to buy a phone. Any place overseas have them IN STOCK that they want to ship to me?
Try clove technology
and search here for them too. I think people are satisfied with their service!
Ofiaich
ebay. there's 2 people there that have them in the u.s.
You can try ebay.com.au. They do delivery to worldwide, but the warranty is only in Australia.
eBay has a couple sellers with them "In Stock". Mine has yet to ship from one of these sellers. I suggest using Microsoft Live! cashback if you purchase through eBay. Last time I checked 25% back was still available for Buy It Now PayPal purchases (US Only).
there are over 100 units from various sellers on Ebay USA, some claims to be in stock.
Would ya'll trust something like that coming off eBay?

Provide you pay by paypal, there is a 20,000 buyer protection program, subject to a relatively small admin charge. I won't worry about it.

y not?
i've never had a problem buying something on ebay. check feedbacks and pay with paypal for protection
try clove technology; that's who i purchased mine from and so did several others on the forum. whoever you go with, remember that the phone WILL HAVE to clear US Customs so make sure the seller has completed all the paper work! the most important item to include on the customs paperwork is the FCC ID!

I second this. I bought it from Clove Technology in UK. They shipped my device overnight as promised. It got delayed at US customs due to some paper work. But when I communicated to Clove about this, they filled it out and sent me a scanned copy via eMail and I sent the same to FedEx by Fax and it got cleared and got it delivered the next day.
Unfortunately, I got a defective device. My phone was not recognizing the SIM card. I tried everything, and its just the hardware problem. I contacted Clove... they asked me to ship it back. As soon as they received it, they shipped the replacement the same day. I got mine this morning.
I am sure they have enough units with them, since they sent my replacement device right away.
- Clove you owe me a discount on my next purchase...

Absolutely, if the seller is networkingrus! I've purchased two touch cruise's and and HD from him, and his act is really together!!! Or... you can check out his website. He's not as cheap as some of the other places, but his service is top-notch!
Everyone always says Clove, but no one ever give their website... so here it is... www.clove.co.uk. These guys are cheap, but I can't vouch for their service or integrity.
Happy trails!!!

I've used eBay for many gray market phones. Its a good choice. Some sellers are excellent. Just check feedback, read descriptions, and use PayPal.
Inkino
I used Inkino for my HD purchase. I found it on the "approved" list from the HTC site. Very good price and shipped really fast. I called them once to confirm an address and they were exceptionally nice and friendly. It was my first time using them. I recommend them.
I'll second networkingrus on ebay...I got mine through him and the service was top notch I emailed him over the weekend to verify his stock and he replied right back. It shipped that very next business day.
Summary:
List the questions you'd ask the seller in context of Unlocked Samsung Vibrant.
Details:
Greetings,
I'm looking to buy unlocked Samsung Vibrant for around $400, (I'm not in USA and got a freind coming from there, will save me $100 eyes-closed).
I haven't really done E-baying ever before . I'v read some guides and obviously going to see the feedback and points the sellers have. (I'm trying to get the phone preferably from someone with TOP-SELLER icon).
I would really appreciate if you can tell me some of the questions that I should ask the person before buying UNLOCKED Samsung Vibrant.
Many Thanks.

Eh, I've had a horrible experience buying something expensive from ebay. It's a risk. Ask yourself, is it really worth $100? Ebay can be great but I stay away from it when it comes to electronics.
Agreed with the above poster. Ebay is great for many things, such as cheap stuff, but I would NEVER buy an expensive piece of electronics off of it. There are far too many ways to get screwed over. It's not worth it.
I've bought lots of expensive items from eBay, link a credit card to your PayPal account that way if you don't get any help from them you can always do a chargeback if you get a dud and the sellers a ****. Check their feedback if you see reds forget it.
Don't blame me, blame my keyboard's autocorrection algorithm.
Did you check on the xda for sale forums. Some guy was selling one for $300 with a ffc already installed. I too would not go through ebay, I have way better luck on Craig's list.
I've bought countless phones off of ebay (Dash 3g, Hd2, Vibrant, Hd7, G2, .....) and Ive never had a problem. You just have to know how to find the right listing froma seller with good feedback. And make sure you read the listing description at least THREE times before buying...to help you out...heres some vibrant I would consider bidding on if I were you:
http://cgi.ebay.com/BRAND-NEW-SEALE...ell_Phones&hash=item35adc3f1b2#ht_3539wt_1139

I bought my vibrant from Ebay back in september for only 376. This included shipping and everything. and the phone was brand new in box...so my experiences with ebay have been good. Hope yours are the same...just be careful for ppl selling stuff with less than a feedback score of 5

Doing a chargeback is not easy unless fraud is involved. If u authorized the charge and get screwed the bank will not charge it back.
Also, the bank will make you call PayPal.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
as I seller I have problems with scamming buyers. Actually got scammed out of a HD2. lost the phone and money
I have had a few issues with ebay. Specifically after they changed some of there rules regarding paypal and buyer complaints. That said, if you trust your friend get him some money and have him try craigslist in his area. My .02
my .02cents on this topic... Craigslist is a great place. In my area there are 20+ vibrant many for $250 range.
The benefit (and drawback) is you get to inspect the phone before you hand over cash.
As a seller and buyer I've gotten beat a couple of times. You live and learn what the signs are that someone isn't trustworthy. I've sold items in the thousands to Indonesia and Thailand with no problems, I've bought stuff in the hundreds domestically and gotten a defective item with no recourse. Bought a Sony 850I that concked out on me me, couldn't get no warranty love cause it was grey market.
Don't blame me, blame my keyboard's autocorrection algorithm.
