Hey guys I want to first thank everyone who actually took the time to come up with great creations and make life a little bit more enjoyable during our hard times with the economy.
Having said that, I would really like to know if anyone knows how to make my page to look like a windows vista computer screen. Having such a though of having a computer mini size is wild and was wondering does anyone has a cab (if possible) for something that hides the curtains and buttons and swap the start to the bottom etc...

I'm a bit of a newb at tweaking this phone, okay so I've had it a year and done a lot of the basic hacks, and have lurked here since I got it. However, for quite a long time I've been wanting a new theme and could never figure out how to do it. That was until yesterday when I found ThemeGenCE. I have to say it's a simple program to use and I made my first skin, almost exactly how I want it, in a matter of a half hour or so.
Well, I tore off to work and showed some friends and they wanted it to until I discovered the dialer buttons are still the default blue ones. Of course you could imagine my hurt when I discovered it. So now I'm pouring over all I can to find out how to make my own pad or at least find an easy tool to change the colors up a bit and maybe the text. I've read a lot of what is here and, sheepishly, am very confused.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Or even just a good finger pointing would be phenomenal. As well, I'll include the skin if any should want it. Hope you're Boondocks fans.

UPDATE - Okay after reading the themegen help file a bit I don't see how to compress and distribute my theme without the software so I'll just include all the files it says it used. *sigh* The newbism strikes again. Also here are some screen caps.

I have seen all of the threads on the subject, and seen the proggy, and know the sensitivity around all this.

However, it obviously makes sense for someone to cook it so that the iphone looking front end is cooked into a good rom with the stability of a
schraps, or a black satin, etc.
I have tried setting it up separately, but I am a newbie, and have bricked 1 hermes already trying reset it after I screwed it up.
Has this not happened because of the sensitivity on the matter or something else?
Again looking for rom load that uses the apple looking screen already cooked to a rom for a hermes (HTC wm6)

Claunch is a today plugin that launches applications. Why do you need it cooked in ?! What you're showing in your picture is a regular iPhone. What are you talking about exactly ?
Making the hermes look like an iphone

What I was trying to say is that they have the skins now to make the hermes (or I guess any wm6 phone) look like an iphone.
But I find the apps/skins not the easiest thing to use/get right/tweak.
Launch on start up etc.
So what I was trying to spit out was has anyone cooked the proggy/skin that does this into a rom so it doesn't to be tweaked.

I dont understand why this Iphone home screen suppose to be such good think.
The most important thinks that I need in my first look would be my appointments, outstanding task etc. Iphone screen just provides shortcuts for some applications. Well I may not get really what is it about.
Anyhow you can do such thing without any issues and any special rom. what you need is the Iphone icons (I am sure there are hundreds in the web) then the wisbar advance Desktop.

Love it or hate it, the simplicity of the iphone, skin, is it is good looking and functional.
It is also the benchmark that all other phones will be measured against for a long time (as the phone has not arrived outside the US yet).

There are others but they too are not quite right.
I am sure someone has cooked it all in one.
It wouldn't be worth cooking claunch into rom. It's a tiny app, and the pleasure of it is customising it to launch the apps you want to launch.
I've written several guides for claunch, hunt around. But it's a simple app.
What might be useful is if someone makes an all-in-one iphone-alike pack. And those probably do exist. Burning claunch into ROM wouldn't be very helpful.

I know this is probably one of the stupidest questions you guys have heard in a while but I figured that maybe it deserved some attention.
Is there a way to put the task bar on the bottom of the screen and put the menubar at the top?
I am trying to emulate a real computer as much as possible and think it would be a neat change.

try eXPerience for ppc that makes the phone emulate the xp taskbar so it is on the bottom, that is the only way i know of doing what you want

I am sort of new here a i downloaded windows mobile 6.1 and my hermes starts to the first screen then the second one freezes. The light is green at the top and not blinking anymore i really need help!
Did you Hard SPL your Hermes first? If the answer is "NO" There is a a lot of the chefs have that on their post, its pretty much PLASTERED ALL OVER this site. Its may take A LOT of reading to unbrick your Hermes, if ever.

Actually i did a hard reset by pressing the two soft keys then the reset button but thanks for the info.

Is there any software where you can unlock the hermes by touching the screen so it will read your fingerprint? Is that possible? That would be a great software.

To put it simply, no. It cannot be done with the current technology in our devices.

darn that would be cool. This is off topic but is there a rom where u can make the home screen just like vista? For example the icons and start menu. Also is there anyway someone can make a game for windows mobile to play halo that would be great. I heard someone had the halo thing but he custom made it and did not want to share it. None of these questions warrents a new thread. Search and you will find re Vista looking Rom, if one exists otherwise there are ways to do it yourself without cooking a rom.

What I would ideally like to see is my Windows icon on the upper right resemble that of Windows Vista / 7, and to change the other icons too. I've seen this done before but no matter where I'm searching I can't figure out how to do it!
Would anyone be able to help me with this? Any contributions and feedback would be IMMENSELY appreciated!

you have to edit .dll files which is way above my head. Your best bet is to head over to the themes section and look at what's available.
Yeah, editing .dlls is way above my head, too, but if worse comes to absolute worst then I might just have to do that, I was just hoping there would have been an easier way to go about changing them.
