S2U2 v1.22 and bluetooth headset

After many many frustrating days, I have narrowed down a VERY ANNOYING issue with the otherwise BEAUTIFUL S2U2.
If the device is locked for more than 5 minutes, the connection to my bluetooth headset is lost...not just lost, but my phone doesnt even bother to look for it. I have to go through discovery again. Then the process starts all over again...after 5 min...its toast.
I have tried all versions of SU2U all the way up to 1.22. On an HTC PPC6800 (Alltel) running WM 6.0 (6.1 has been delayed by Alltel's cell group)
As soon as I take the SU2U off the phone..it works like a charm.
Any thoughts (or sob stories) would be helpfull
what bluetooth headset are you using?
Hi,
You are going to get a kicking for this. It would have ben best if you had posted in the original thread and/or kept an eye on what the general consensus on posting threads is.
Forum members are trying to reduce the number of new threads posted in order to improve the search facility and to stop clutter.
As for the answer to your question, not a clue. Sorry.

In the OP's defense, have you seen how big that thread is? It is damn near impossible to get a question answered in there unless a lot of people have the same issues.

So ask in the "Questions" thread.........
Is a user supposed to post a new thread for every question because the original is a bit too large?
Either way, all S2U2 does is prevent screen taps and turns the display off, it does not interfere with the bluetooth connections.

First: What is SU2U?
Second: Do you know which program manages your bluetooth headset and which is using it? Making that difference makes your question easier. Think in terms like what program do i use to connect my bluetooth headset.
Third: Search, search and search. If that is not enough, search more. There are many threads where bluetooth and headseats are discussed. Come back with information from those threads so we do not have to give the same information over and over again. Besides that, doing your own research narrows your problem
I'm not sure if you have tried this...
in the S2U2 settings, in the Advanced: section (bottom part)
set "Dont Suspend Power" to ON.

[Q] Help wanted from Android Wizard!

I know this is not the right section for this, but I wanted to ask anyway since us noobs in de General Section can't figure it out, and this is the hangout spot for our android wizards!
edit: guess the thread got moved...
Problem:
A number of users have problems with some process taking up 100% CPU all the time causing massive lag and battery drain!
Using OS Monitor we have identified the process to be /init. We tried all sorts of things but nothing helps. After a reboot or hard reset the problem disappears, but comes back after a while. It would be great if some android expert could point us in the right direction!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=826507&page=3
Thanx in advance!
Thread moved to General.
bump
Can I bump? Is it allowed?
Anyway I just bumped....lol
i dont have the link you can use google to find it but there is a massive thread on this over in the offical android forums, it has been running since 2.2 came out (maybe even longer cant remember) and its not DHD specific affects lots of devices and it seems to be an issue with android itself that google needs to sort out
imo try reflashing the device with the RUU, if that fails then your out of luck cause there is no solution to it at all

[Q] Searching For Gps problem. HELP!!

I have seen multiple threads on this subject for every other phone but none for the Nexus. Ever since i updated to CM 7.0.2 my gps hasnt worked properly. It locks in on my position and others in latitude very quickly, but if i try to use navigation it stays stuck on searching for gps. When i attempted to use the app gps status to check out the problem, it keeps loading and never finds any satellites. I posted in a g2 thread and the response i got back was this:
"You need to find out what partition on your phone the radio/gps cache is stored. Wipe it. That is the same type of idea of what we are doing here. Hopefully that helps get ya going in the right direction. I would also recommend trying to back it up first if you can. I'm also sure some dev with the know how could write a very easy script for you so that you can't mess it up. But it would obviously have to be someone familiar with the nexus setup. Good luck!"
can anybody help???
I wish I could ban people for this.
WARNING - DO *NOT* POST QUESTIONS IN THIS FORUM - only tips/info/etc.
dont kill me man my bad. really need the help tho. ill try this question in the correct forum as well.

[REQUEST] Fix for screen-off-issue after call

Hi @ all,
i know my thread is in a wrong place but its time to give more attention to this issue which is concerning a lot of hd2-Android users.
As you all know the htc hd2 is a smartPHONE.
It's most important function is to let us make our phone calls without any trouble!
But there's a problem:
A lot of users complain about the screen staying off after having made a phone call. It doesn't turn on unless you hold the phone in a bright light. No chance for anybody who's in a darker environment at that time. Hardware keys also don't let the screen turn on again. So often the only way to solve this problem is taking out battery and reboot.
This is REALLY annoying and ashaming for all users, i mean we have one of the greatest phones for custom roms, but we can't make a proper phone call -.-
So to sum up: There are several threads already opened, with no solution and no real end.
My wish to all the great Chefs and developers out there: Thanks for your hard efforts so far.
But PLEASE try to fix this issue. Perhaps deactivating the proximity/light sensor, or just making the phone let its screen turned on during a call might be a solution?
So many roms out there with hundreds of versions but no one works for me and many others without this issue.
PERSONALLY, i don't care if my rom has ultra-spectacular-amazing quadrant score or the latest sense 3.0 shich has still bugs.
Just a stable rom for using our hd2 as a real phone, that's what so many want, so hard to understand?
Thanks, for reading.
BTW: the hint to make the proximity/light sensor clean doesn't work, and some users don't understand the scren-off issue, i know.
screen after call
I have the opposite problem - my screen remains unlocked after phone call which is a big problem when the phone is in my pocket and i'm answering with a BT device.
I usually find the phone is some strange settings screen or some app running.

There is no "but", If its in wrong place its in wrong place.
If you have this issue its likely rom related as this isn't a wide spread general issue as I have personally never experienced it.
if you want to discuss this issue reply in the appropriate roms topic, You are not a dev and not posting dev work/reference.
uhuuhu...
NO, it's NOT rom related. I think testing about 10 of the most popular roms here is enough...
Just search for it. I said it before some people don't have this problem but there are also many others who have it.
BTW: askin in the roms section was intending to get attention as wehenever yopu aks for it in the thread of the rom no one cares.
Just sad that the most "Devs" think building a rom is just abaout making it looking cool full of unnecessary special addons and customisations...
- make the performance better here please -

xt1060 randomly changes time zone...

So, my phone has changed time zones from EST to PST several times since owning the phone. At first I thought it had to do with my freezing apps. I've since unfroze all Moto Apps but random time zone changes haven't stopped. At this point I'm thinking that maybe I should perform a factory reset but I'd prefer not to do that.
Any suggestions?
First off, this belongs in the Q&A section, not general, so be advised next time you need to ask a question.
On to your question; go to Settings > Time & Date > Uncheck both "Automatic date & time" and "Automatic time zone". Set both manually to what they should be and recheck "Automatic date & time". If the time zone still changes then a factory reset is your only option.

Is it a question or an issue? I, maybe mistakenly, view the Q&A as where general pre sales/how to questions belong. I don't view this in that sense, it is more of a problem/bug.
Also, I do that every time the phone switches time zones as it's the only way to get the correct time zone back.
The general section is used for general things like bootloader warnings, root, etc. Q&a are questions and answers only.

If we boil your issue down, you have a question: "Why is this this happening and how can I fix it?" I'm not trying to be knit picky but it's a common thing that's making a lot of members frustrated and thus not help those that need help.
If it keeps happening, then do a backup of your apps (And data if you want) and do a factory reset. If it still persists, you can try flashing your specifics carier firmware via RSD but if you don't feel comfortable you can contact Motorola's support and see what they can do whether it a a repair or replacement.

If you boil 95% of everything down in these forums you can turn it into a question. Furthermore, I went back and reviewed some of your past posts and find you happily participating in many "questions" in the general forum, why take to the podium now? No offense but your answer is along the lines of "is it plugged in?" It's difficult to do a specific search on such a general term so I can't figure out if my issue is unique, software or a hardware issue. I'd rather not factory reset or reinstall the OS especially if there is more straight forward fix.
I'm doing my best to direct other to the proper section of the forum to help them. Even in the wrong section, I will still help to the best of my ability. I have no need to justify why I decide when, but from now on, this is what I'm going to do.
As I said in my last post, if it keeps recurring , a factory reset is your only option. This is because something within the Android OS is corrupted and not working. You're more than welcome to poke around your system files if you have root but I'd advice against that. Backup, do a reset, and if for whatever reason it's still happening, then contact Motorola and see if they'll do a repair/replacement. This is the only advice I can give.
Sometimes this happens when carriers are doing maintenance in the area. I saw it on Sprint a bit last year when they were "updating towers"

Judging by all of the question marks in the titles, you have your work cut out for you. From the first page of "General"
Do you use Greenify? What system apps do you hibernate?
How is your battery life
[Q] Upgrading from Moto G
[Q] Motorola Moto X
The mod's can close this down, I'll figure it out myself.
Should be moved.
Is in the proper place. With this phone have a decent battery life, it's expected people would like to compare their battery life and how they've extended it. Would I have chosen a different title, yes.
Based off the title, should be moved but I've yet to look.
This thread was closed as it was literally just the specs of the phone.
In the end, I hope you, in one way or another, find a solution, but I've done all I can. -v(-_-)v- I'll take my leave now.
