My Herm100 does not connect to pc via USB - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Good day,
Here is my problem, My Herm100 does not connect to pc via USB! It used to connect easily but about 4 days ago it stopped i have replaced 4 cables but still unable to connect! The cell charges when i connect to usb but does not connects to activesyn nor shows that anything has been attached to pc! I'm using activesyn 4.5 everything is same i have not changed / installed anything new on PC or mobile! the os i'm using is Win-xp (Service Pack 2). i have changed 4 cables and tested it on 3 PCs and 1 laptop! Please help me i will be very thankful to you...

Just for the sake of a dumb question, have you rebooted the phone?
I have had a couple instances of my device not connecting till I reboot it.

Yes, i have rebooted it a lot of time! even putted it in the boot loader but didnot did anything. after putting it in the boot loader i just restarted it. It charges with usb cable but does not connect.

You could try opening usb to pc and either check or uncheck the checkbox 'Enable advanced network functionality'
If that doesn't work, then I would grab pim backup, to back up all of your contacts and try a hard reset.
If it still doesn't connect, then I would guess something went wrong with the usb port on the device.

Confirm your hardreset(many doesn't realised what they did is just softreset)
Try different cable different PC.
Use Wm5torage to test if you want.
Try activesync via IR/bluetooth.
I have tried all of these and none of these response (bluetooth, iR, different pc, etc..) . Can I reflash my ROM from mini SD.
thanks,
hn

Click to collapse
Only if its CID Unlocked
How can I unlock CID if I can't get to USB, ir/bluetooth connection via activesyn. Can I do it via mini SD? if so,please show me how.
thanks,

Can you get into bootloader mode (The 3 colorbars)??? If yes, plug in the usb and see if it reads in the lower corner (it will say usb). If yes, you should be able to re-flash your phone, and from what you wrote, it sounds as if the usb will read...however, if your usb port is damaged, you may have a bigger issue to deal with.
For more detailed info, click the linky in my siggy. It is the most complete thread I know of about saving a wizard from death.
Most wizards can be saved...mine wasn't but mine was severely damaged...that being said, the thread linked below gives great info on various methods.
Also, if it is an active-sync issue, it can usually be corrected.
Read the thread, see if any of it helps, then report back if you need more help.
I can get into bootloader mode (The 3 colorbars) I then plug the usb to my pc and usb see it for 2 seconds and it disappears saying "USB is not recognized". When I try to flash the "RUU_wizard_225111_22511102_02252_CWS_wwe" downloaded from htcwizard website and i get " ERROR [260]: UPDATE ERROR".

Mogul goes into bootloader on reset?

I've got a couple of strange problems with my mogul - anytime I need to reset it, it goes into bootloader (both soft and hard resets). However, If I connect it via USB to my pc, the reset will work.
The second problem is a USB connection to the PC only charges the mogul, the pc doesnt actually recognize it (it doesnt give the windows device connection sound)- so i cant flash it to try and solve the first problem. It also isn't recognized when I plug it into USB while in bootloader mode, I just get the "Unrecognized USB device" error in XP and Vista on two different computers. It might be worth noting that I get the USB device connection sound when i reboot the phone, then the "unrecognized usb device" error, then the disconnect sound as the boot finishes and windows mobile loads. I've tested the cable with other devices and tried multipile cables, so I dont think thats the problem
Any suggestions?
Ok, I got the USB working but nothing will keep it from going into bootloader on reset if it isnt connected to my pc. I've reflashed and hard reset to no avail. no one has any suggestions?
I had this same problem w/ my fiance's mogul... as far as i know there's nothing you can do but take it to sprint and get a replacement... and just as an fyi.... i never modded her phone... it was completely stock!

USB device is not recognized error.

Hi all,
I'm experiencing the above problem. It started last week when I tried to reflash the firmware to a third party firmware. The unit could power up as normal, wifi, bluetooth all working fine but not the USB. I've tried installing a utility which switches the mode from RNDIS to USB but it still failed .. hard resetting the device does not help either. Is there a way that I could revive the USB connection? I couldn't sync my contact etc at the moment with my PC.
BTW, currently I'm on Onyx Jr. 4.1.2. I could not update to any firmware due to this and I don't have microSD to SD converter which I could use to copy the firmware to the microSD.
TA.
Disconnect sync cable. Reconnect to different usb port on computer. Right click ActiveSync in taskbar. Click connections. Make sure "Allow USB connections" is checked. If above fails, uninstall usb adapter in device manager, reboot computer. It'll reinstall with stock drivers after reboot.
It may happen due to faulty USB cable. Try and use another cable and on some other computer and check
I've tried all that I could think off including removing activesync and reinstalling it back. I've few miniUSB lying around and I've tested many of them but my notebook just did not want to recognized the htc touch. I've tried using those cables with my wife's tytnII and they worked .. could it be the hardware problem inside htc touch itself?
Tried with a new USB cable found in my newly bought GPS and if I reseat the cable properly, my notebook could recognised the htc touch. So I guess a new cable does help.. thanks all for the help.

Problem with usb connection

Hi guys ,my problem is that when I connect my phone via USB cable at first there is no problem, data transfer , windows mobile device center, everything is OK. But when I want to flash the phone pressing vol-down + switch on/off keys the phone is not connected to the PC. And I can't flash it. Also the phone wouldn't like charge trough the charger ,only with the data cable. Is it possible to have any liaison between the problem with charging with charger and no-connection when try to flash.
Also my phone was to the service for touch-screen change ,is it possible the technician make any mistake ? Cause I think that if he make a mistake with the connector nothing gonna work ,but it works at different situations.
Regards!
check to be sure USB SYNC driver installed correctly and also try a different usb cable.
I'll try but there is no logic ,the cable works when charge the phone, works when is connected to device manager but doesn't works when flashing ?
exactly. the device requires different drivers.
1. there is internet sharing and disk mode (which works with all computers, because those drivers are in the operating system)
2. then there is one driver for syncing
3. and another one for flashing
it is not the same kind of data transfer, which is why you need a different driver. but the thread "[tut] updating htc sync drivers" should cover all your windows vista/7 driver needs and a tutorial on how to install them, which in case of a x64 system can be fairly complicated.
if you already have hspl installed (which you can determine by entering bootloader mode and looking whether it says 1.56Olinex), you can also flash using the sd car method. put a rom of your choice on the sd card, name in BLACIMG.nbh and enter bootloader mode, you will be presented with options to flash the rom.
Ok, but in instructions at the thread you give me is written that I have to start making the steps after I see "USB" on the flashing screen. But I don't see it, it's only "Serial". And now what ? I know that if on the screen i written "USB" the phone and the computer are connected and there is no problem to flash ,but now what ?
well, before you start, put your device into bootloader mode. it will show "serial", then connect it to the pc. test your connection using mtty 1.42 (you'll find several download options here in the forum).
the connection settings for mtty are USB 115200-8-1-No-NONE-None
if it works, connect and press enter, the command shell should show USB> then.
if usb is not present in the connection settings, your connection is not established yet. proceed with the tutorial then. during the entire procedure, the device should remain connected to the pc in bootloader mode, so you install the driver for the right device state.
Hello,
I've problem something like this. Few months ago when i was conecting my phone to computer was everything OK, activesync, disk drive, but now nothing, just charging the phone. I've tryed everything in USB to pc zone, but nothing. When i'm going to bootloader it's writen serial. What can be here?
since you already tried all the different connection methods and even bootloader mode does not connect, there are hardly any options left, where the trouble could be:
- the usb port on the blackstone
- the usb port on the pc
- the cable
you can try another port on the pc (or even better, another pc altogether) and/or another cable, like from a digital camera, an external hdd... (many devices have mini usb cables, you should be able to use either one of those)

Honor 8 Lite PRA-LX1 can't connect to PC

Hello there dear XDA users. I have this problem.. 2 weeks ago I connected my phone to the PC to transfer some music. No problem! No HiSuit or any other program needed. Just put the cable on both sides and it works like a charm. So far so good. 2 days ago I wanted to get some more music to my phone. I connected it like I usually do for 100th time and this message popped on my PC screen. "the last device you connected to this computer malfunctioned" I said to myself "ok not big of a deal I will fix it." YES ...but NO. I tried EVERYTHING. Going into Manage:
Uninstalling all USB - Not working
Updating Drivers to all USB - Not working
Disabling all USB - Not working
Uninstalling all hidden USB - Not working.
______
Regedit:
I also tried that ,yes.
Regedit editing - Not working
Power options - Not working
I freaking tried everything but it still not working. Whenever I connect it to PC the message pops.
I downloaded HiSuit... here gets interesting. When I installed HiSuit it connected to the PC !!! BUT. After I disconnected it I wasn't able to connect it again even with HiSuit. I tried to do the steps as I did them when I connected it with HiSuit , not working yet again.
Also tried ALL USB ports on my PC . Tried 3 diffrent cables. Tried phone on different PC , still same error. Tried phones on my PC , no error. They connect like a charm.
Phone Factory Reset - Not working.
The phone is NOT rooted or updated out of stock Huawei 7.0 android.
Also the phone connects to PC and starts charging. I tried debugging and etc. Not working also.
I hate to be this person but.. bump?
