Hi,
While I disassembling the htc touch I broke a little part.
You will see in the photo below.
This is important only for the antenna or i should throw away my phone?
Thanks for the reply
Please reply!
that looks to me like the connection between the pcb and the antenna.

well, it actually looks like an SMD capacitor/led... but the picture is a little bit too small to be sure.
did you try to re-assemble your touch? does it work?
----
Hai già provato a riassemblarlo? funziona?
Yes i reassemble It !
For the "contact" I used a rubber tape and seems to work

well, my defy has 20 months now, never had a problem until today that my screen started to show dead pixels (I guess)
check the pics and tell me what you think
I've downloaded 3 dead pixel checkers, but they didn't repair it
What should I do? get a new screen?

u may find my reply a bit crazy :cyclops:.... but it works...
wrap the phone in plastic , put the duct tape , keep in freezer for 18 hours (screen side down) ,
after 18 hours put the phone in rice bowl for 5-6 hours...
and voilla ... all dead pixels will be gone....
source: i know 2 people that did this successfully,..,,

i know..
but just try it .,,,,... it will work..
ok, I'll wait a couple of days because the middle part of the screen is going back to normal
I hope the rest will do the same in the next hours.
If that doesn't happen, I'll do the ninja freezer stuff :silly:
would it be better if I desamble the phone and freeze the screen only? I'm afraid It won't resist.
It will resist, many people tried it out and ive hear of no one who got a broken phone after this
But make sure that you put your battery simcard and micro sd out
I did it!!! And it worked perfectly!! Thanks a lot!!!

Hi guys!
Please, help me with this..
Unfortunately I left my s5 fall from my pocket while I was seated and it got a lump on his side (the metal looking part)... I looked very closely his back and it got a little opening between his lid and his body (very little).. What should I do to close my lid tight again? I still can close it making all of his clicks.. But, I have this little lump.. And, have I lost my water protection?
Thx a lot everyone!
(if there is anything odd about my english, forgive me and please, correct me if I'm wrong)

Hi guys,
after a drop, my front camera broke (see attached file), anyone knows where I can find a spare part for the Zuk, or where I can get a repair..? I'm in Italy.
I broke the screen, unfornately nothing official for now for the replacement..
Maybe there is some warranty on some of these problems and you can get the phone replaced?

Sadly, warranty doesn't include drop-related damages.. [emoji21]

I've seen them but firstly I have the grey one, so there isn't any replacement of the grey version online, secondly II don't think they are official, they have different prices.. I think I will just wait and then send it to Lenovo and eventually pay for the replacement.

I'm guessing when you close the cover it covers the proximity sensor. The phone does this by design (switches off Aod in your pocket). As far as I know there isn't a way to prevent this.

Yes it's strange, i guess somehow the cover is refracting the light from the proximity sensor. Have you tried cleaning the cover? I guess it's the same reason most screen protectors have a cutout for the sensors, to prevent interference.

If i try to open a bit the cover i See the always on Not working ..The screen is only Black ..
I See only for 3 second trough the screen of the cover the always on
Your cover is probably dirty. Clean where the proximity sensor is, or make a hole?

It will still show for a few seconds, that just how long it takes for the sensor to respond. Try covering the sensor with your hand, you will see the same few seconds lag.
The case is interfereing with the sensor, you just have to work out why. Bare in mind it's difficult for the sensor to distinguish between certain objects, so it's quite plausible that it's mistaking the cover as being in your pocket. I'm not sure there is much you can do, screen protector manufacturers get round this buy leaving a cutout for the sensors. Maybe an option you could pursue but you run the risk of damaging the cover.

The always on display should always be on/active unless the phone detects that it's in your pocket or you put it face down to cover the sensor. You can schedule it to turn of during certain times eg. When you go to bed.

I think that behaviour of the phone is correct, because if I lean my G6 over the magnet of my GPad's cover, it shows clock and notification just for few seconds, and then the screen becomes completely black. So I think this is the way the phone should behave when it is used with a flip cover.
My conclusion is that it is completely normal and it's just a different tipe of always on (it's more like ambient display).

Translation: Eruption so you say that it is normal that the cover is not always active?

That is my idea, at least basing on the behaviour that the phone has with the magnet of my tablet's cover (that should work in the same way of a flip cover closed on the phone)

Translation: But the cover is transparent .. it should be just a screen saver

Quindi la cover non ha magneti?
So the cover doesn't have any magnet?
Translation: The cover is original lg. Pay 50 euro on fun mobile .. the magnet hangs behind the hook ..
Added some translations, please post in English however if you need you can post in your own language but you must include translations for others to follow along! Thanks and have a good day!

Maybe it's due to the fact that the phone recognises the original LG cover and this is the correct behaviour (that resembles the one of a magnetic cover)

Anyone have bought original clear case ?
Hello Mi A1 users.
Today I'm complaining about something that's happening to Mi A1. The back of the device (black variant) have some "holes" where it seems there's no painting. I only have this phone for one month and I always used it with cover.

If you're not sure check your device please.

if u use a hard cover, it may actually be the culprit. What happens is the inner surface of the cover rubs the phone body, removing the paint/coating on it. Unfortunately, not using a cover means damage to the internals on every fall. i use soft covers, they are good for absorbing shocks while being less harsh on the phone body. The look is compromised but then its the deal.....

It happens when sands get stuck under your cover and it wears out the color finish of the aluminum. This is very common if you use a case and don't clean regularly. Those who don't use a case never face this situation but they risk the physical health of the device.
