Battery calibration is simply done by running it down completely until the phone shuts off by itself...
Then remove the battery, wait 10 seconds, insert again, repeat...
If the phone shuts off again in less than a few minutes you're done.
Now remove battery and hold power button for 1minute.then insert battery.dont switch on the phone. plug the charger and recharge the battery fully until the green light is on...
then remove battery, hold power button for few seconds, insert it and switch on the phone...
yes its done......
do this initially once in 3-4months when the phone is new.then ince a month after a year to gain maximum battery performance...
REMEMBER THIS WILL NOT DRAMATICALLY IMPROVE YOUR BATTERY LIFE....
BUT THIS WILL SAVES YOUR NEW ONE TO BE DEAD BEFORE AGE
DONT EXPECT MORE FOR ALREADY SWOLLEN OR DIED BATTERY...
no one is interested to test it?
tested, working fine, but i haven't impoved battery life, and also my battery works same as first day. I recommend to use this on all types of batteries LiIon, NiCd etc...

i am a flashing junkies and i always do this after flashing to WM 6.5 ROM.
last nite i've just flashing Onyx 5.1.1 ROM (the fastest WM6.5 ROM i felt) . well.. as expected from every WM6.5... battery drain veeeerry Fast!
i just use it normally till switched off on it's own. then charge the battery (while my elfin still turned off) and...
voila....
from 08 pm last nigt till 12.00 am today, it's only consumed 10%!!!
WOW!!!
in fact, i use G-alarm (which usually drain my battery faster in WM6.5).
and this morning, it's need 30 minutes my G-alarm ringing to woke me up.
YES I WANT THAT ALL MEMBER SHOULD TRY THIS AND GIVE THEIR FEEDBACK..

this is called "POWER CYCLING"....when u hold your power button for a while when no battery inside it drain your backup battery which resposible for your device to remember date, time etc.....
after doing this all the power from the device will be gone....
after that u can do the procedure otherwise it will not gives u good results..
i have tested it myself
It works fine for me!
Now battery drain is proportional to the usage and for sure battery life is longer

Hi My hd2 this morning run out of power and you know what?!! When i charge it back and power on, it go to hard reset!!!!!! OMG I just want to use till the last drop and charge it to max.... BTW I am using the Andida 1600, tested for a few days and still ok compare to HTC. Any issue of the problem if using that? Thanks.
I haven't let it run down to the last drop. It does warn there may be data loss when the battery runs too low.
It should not do that when emptying the battery until automatic shutdown, I've done it several times. HOWEVER, that's with the original battery. 3rd party ones often have a less accurate metering chip, the warning comes too late, and by the time auto shutdown kicks in the battery is too deeply discharged for a clean shutdown. Probably due to your andida battery.
Well I did it again since already gone(data) and this time it boots up as normal. I had omnia(i900) and it works fine with this process...any way thanks.
Thanks Kilrah and noted. I will be more careful next time.
1st of all excuse me for my bad english.
I have a big problem with my N1 after a full charge in 4 hour and NO USE i have 32% of battery.
In 2 more hours i have no battery and request cable to charge and than shout-off-
I try different radio and rom and kernel
I wipe battery stat.
No way.
What i can try and if i need spare parts or service for my phone from USA and i'm in italy ??
Thanks.
Is your phone getting hot? I'm pretty sure, and it sounds like you agree, that this can't be a software problem.
Maybe bad battery? Is it a new N1? Any damage? Drops?
If your phone is getting warm it is most likely a software problem. Sounds like you just have a bad app in the background that won't stop, and it is running your CPU constantly.
Download a task manager (not for the auto-kill, auto-kill is bad) but use it to see if there is any app that is constantly using up your CPU.
Also download Spare Parts and check the battery history and see if anything is high on the "partial wake" screen.
i try 4 different rom, 2 radio e 3 kernel.
No changes
The phone never fall from my hand.
Yesterday i put in a LeoFroyo and just full charge and boot this morning 6:00 at 10:00 i have 40% of battery.
RMA ?
Ok yeah, sounds like a bad battery then, or worse.
Some news here.
I bought a new and original battery for N1 from HTC.
No solve the problem.
I fully charge battery and in 12 H is drained (also Time and Date reset).
I fully charge the battery and leave it out of the phone and NO DRAIN
I fully charge and put in the phone POWER OFF and is drained (cannot say in how many hours).
So the strange and new things are
1) Drain with the Nexus power off
2) No a battery problem
3) Reset time and date after drain
What can use battery in the phone when is power-off ?????
I write at HTC USA and Italy but they dot answer nothing. (2 weeks ago USA 1 week Ita) It's normal this delay ?
Actually powered off? Or do you just turn the screen off? Do you press and hold on the power button, then choose "Power off"?
12H is pretty good for the battery, considering it sounds like you have auto-updating things and use it a lot. If it is draining in 12H when you don't use it, you probably have installed an app that is misbehaving.
if you are losing battery power when the phone is off then this is a phone problem

Hello...
I am now on stock XXJPM.
I was on Kyrollis and have changed a lot of roms.
Ok... so my battery is having an error.
Once i plug in my charger within 2 minutes it says 100%. And once plugged out it says 5%. WTF is it ?
I had flashed XXJPM twice and removed both my sd and sim card.
idk whats the problem.
Even tried battery calliberation when it was 100% and in a couple of seconds it went back to 5%.
Plz help me guys.
May be you discharged battery to much and damage a safety chipset on battery.
It may happened too with to high battery temperature.
Anyway how long phone may work on that 5%? Did you make data wipe?
And you aren't able to check rom/phone with other battery?

ok try this...
1) Discharge battery completely...try switching on the phone even with 0 battery...it may just switch on and then switch off automatically, do this until it becomes completely dead..
2) Start Charging with phone switched off...let it charge for like 2 hours i say...even if it shows full battery in that charging animation.
3) Switch ON...use battery calibration, without 100% also do it...
4) Restart Phone and let it charge till 100%...
5) Should work then...if still then flash, DDJG6 eclair and update via kies...then take it to samsung center

There are programs that drain battery by endless vibration... will that do? Or we must use the phone normally until power dries?
I don't think that draining battery by endless vibration is a good idea.
You can drain it by using heavy programs like windows media player, wifi etc.
Thanks...

it's my pleaser.
Hey everyone. So I bought a second hand note 4 recently and have been having battery problems.
I did a full wipe install of CM13 and the battery dropped to 0% at random times and I had to plug it in the charger for the phone to even boot as it would just restart as soon as it turned on. Anyway, i thought this is probably due to faulty battery. I purchased another one and now this one doesn't reboot at random times but seems like the phone keeps reading the battery percentage wrong, sometimes it doesn't charge over certain percent, just gets stuck at 77% or 63% or any percentage really. If I remove the battery and plug it back in, it shows a completely different percentage everytime. I have tried wiping battery stats, do a full discharge/charge, nothing seems to help. Battery drains fairly fast too, once I manage to get it to 100% it shows that expected time is like 2-3hrs if screen on. Thanks!

battery displaying different percentage after u remove it and put it back in is normal i have 3 note4s all do the same (up to 10 percentage change, it either increases or decreases) but the other issues like getting stuck on a certain percentage are not normal make sure u have the genuine battery and try stock rom.
yeah, i tried stock and the same thing really. such a random issue. I just noticed that battery charges once I turn the screen on and use it , so it only gets stuck on random percent only with screen off.

yeah, i said I wiped battery stats, which is basically recalibration
once the battery is charged to 100% it also drops first 10-20% really fast and then it gets better but still I only get around 2hrs screen time

Oops my bad..Didn't read your whole post...
the only way to fix this replace your battery by new one
i tried all options (Format ROM - Wipe battery status - Getting back to stock ROM - Unroot - re Celebrate apps - Changing recovery-Removing battery from device for while sleeping - charge without fast charge - charge via USB)
i asked myself after that all of this headache doesn't worth 20$, i replaced the battery with new one and its working fine now

yeah, i replaced battery as well but it's still the same issue. old one at least charged fully but would randomly reboot on me, the new one doesn't reboot but drains extra fast and doesn't always charge fully. can't believe both batteries are faulty
I am sorry for summoning this old post but did you find any solution to your problem? I have exactly the same experience with my note 4.
Thanks!
Is there a solution for this problem?
Power down and then out-and-in same battery and my stuck-at78%... was 100% when started.
if you having problems with auto restarting.... download the app " WAKE LOCK" and put it on Partial Wake Lock setting... your restarts will be a thing of the past.
