Okay so i really want to get foxtel to work...
Im running WM6 schaps..
Ive tried Telstra V5.2 and V5.5 cab.
Used the Telstra Proxy manager
Installed My place

ive tried using telstra.internet and telstra.wap in the streaming media options

Hi there,
I'm hoping someone could advise me on this. I'm trying to set up Sky mobile on my touch HD but when I try to select I'm a T mobile user on their Sky's page I get a message saying my phone isn't compatible. I'm pretty sure it's T mob's page being crap and not picking up what I have (I've had streaming work fine on my phone already).
Does anyone have any ideas on a way round this?
Many thanks in advance

T-Mobile UK block RTSP streams, even on the Web'n'Walk Plus service (don't know about Web'n'Walk Max). So maybe Sky are using that Protocol to stream their content. This is the reason why I can't get iPlayer or Orb to work over HSPDA/3G either.
I'm guessing the problem is with T-Mobile in general, rather than any specific phone.
edit: yep, it's rtsp ( rtsp://149.254.192.123/premium/sky/101074.sdp/Sky_Sports_1 )
Remove the proxy in your internet settings as that was stopping me from accessing my emails, etc.
I am very impressed with my HD2 - in my case from T-Mobile UK. There is no external T-Mobile branding but there are some ROM customisations.
On the software side I notice there is no YouTube application - has anyone else found this? I would like to get the YouTube app and also the BBC iPlayer application (both of which came with my HD) - any ideas?
I also notice a T-Mobile IM app. It does not work at all but I see from the T-Mobile UK website it is only free for 30 days anyway.

I'm on the T-Mobile build as well.
I have got the iPlayer working perfectly now - using MyPlayer and Coreplayer. It allows downloads, streaming and Live TV on both data and wifi. Also, someone posted a decent YouTube app on here today as well. As for the other bit of software missing, HTC Peep sounds next to useless from feedback on here any way...

Here's the link to the Youtube app posted on the forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=584487
Works fine so far
btw, tried flashing to the WWE ROM last night and as I expected got a Vendor ID error. Apparently some have flashed their chinese HD2s with the WWE English East Europe ROM which worked, however I'm a bit hesitant unless someone else confirms this works on the T-Mobile edition.

As I mentioned previously to LeeMC79, can you share with us how you got iPlayer working on CorePlayer?
Thanks.
I'm the same. I just installed myPlayer and the Coreplayer. I didn't do anything they just worked straight away.
Do you have T-Mobiles content Lock active on your account? That might block it. Call CS to remove or do it on the website.

Do you need Both?

36. Get BBC iPlayer Mobile Website Working on HD2
The current Opera 9.7 version on the HD2 is not detected by the BBC iplayer website. Here is a modifcation to Opera preferences you can do to get it to work. Launch Opera and type: opera:config in the url bar. No http:// prefix needed. Tap on User Prefs at bottom of the list and then scroll down to Custom User-Agent. Delete ALL text in the box and enter HTC_Touch_HD_T8282. Scroll down to the bottom of User Prefs list and hit Save. Exit Opera and restart it. Now go to http://bbc.co.uk/mobile/iplayer. Videos are opened in your Streaming App on your phone.

Sorry, missed your question to me...
Yes, you need both MyPlayer and CorePlayer. MyPlayer is the prog that you choose your video download/stream/radio station on, and it uses CorePlayer as the media player. If you still have problems, let me know and i'll talk you through step by step what settings I have entered to make it work - I can't remember what I changed (if anything) to make it work!

Lee it looks like I have an initial problem with Opera & the BBC mobile iPlayer web site which I hope you can help me with....
1. Opera does not seem to support my HD2?
2. Have not downloaded MyPlayer yet but I'm assuming once it is installed and configured CorePlayer should pick up the iPlayer files?
Thanks in advance.

1. Not quite sure what you mean by this. Someone else should be able to help though.
2. Yep. Open up MyPlayer and select what you want to do - Coreplayer then opens up automatically.

Thanks Lee....
Re the problem with Opera is that when I go to the BBC iPlayer site and click on a file to view the site then informs me it can not display the video as I need Flash Player.
If you then follow the links to download the player it takes you to Adobe's site but the download is for the PC version and not WIndows Mobile.
Do you have any issues with the iPlayer on Opera with your Phone?
Hi, I don't have the HD2, but will hopefully get it tomorrow from T-Mobile...

Just a quick check, are you sure you are using the iPlayer mobile site? The main site uses Flash but the mobile site should use a different encode that mobile devices can handle...

Hi
Anyone got this working? I did the registry tweak as per the tweaks thread and I no longer get the 'flash error' and it appears to recognise it is a mobile device, directs it to the mobile iplayer site but then I get an error saying the iplayer has technical issues and is not available.
Anyone using the t-mobile hd2 and have this problem??
Any help or suggestions much appreciated...
Works fine on my stock Vodafone HD2.....

Did you do the opera confug tweak in the thread above? Of not, what have you got in there by default?
Any help appreciated
I did the Opera Config tweak, but learned that you have to completely delete all the text then re-enter just the given text. If you delete some characters and alter the 8585 to 8282 it simply doesn't work.

I had exactly the same error message with my stock T-Mobile. Couldn't solve it. The workaround I came up with involves using MyPlayer and Coreplayer (search for the thread on here), and it works brilliantly - no issues with using T-Mobile data for downloading, streaming, watching live.

Can you stream over 3G/HSDPA on Vodafone?
I am also on Vodafone and although i have the iPlayer working perfectly well over wifi.... when i try and use my data connection the BBC iPlayer tells me that i must be on the Vodafone network in order to stream over 3G!?!?!
I'm on Orange and I tried doing the Opera tweak but bbc.co.uk/mobile/iplayer says it's having a technical problem and I should check back later.

Exactly the same issue as T-Mobile customers, it seems. MyPlayer and Coreplayer the way to go.
I am using mPlayer with StreamingPlayer on Vodafone and haven't had any issues.

bringing up an old topic but if you're still having problems, when you did the registry change did you make sure you used capital letters for the whole thing apart from the word touch which should just have a capital T and the rest in lower case. I had the same issue as you on my o2 hd2 and after changing the word "TOUCH" to "Touch" it worked fine.
I have a problem using this excellent site (www.tvcatchup.com)
Even though i'm in the UK it wont allow me to watch the TV streams because it says I'm non UK! This happens with Skyfire and the excellent uZardweb browser.
I'm on Energy Rom and have set location to UK - but no joy. Any ideas greatly appreciated! - could it be the radio maybe?

i think this is because the page rendering on skyfire is done on servers outside the uk then sent to your hd2. try i.e it has flash and page rendering is done on the device
edit: search the sktfire forums i remember seeing a thread on how to fix this
Yup, I got that message when I tried to use iPlayer as well with SkyFire.
