Something strange on the back... - HD2 General

Did somebody experience something similar? (See the pics!) Very strange... It is a 4 day old device. It's like something material issue but I did not recognize before. (it isn't dirty, permanent thing )

I think
I think it is caused by the mobile is located on a surface and the plastic will be polished and rounded.
Sorry for bad English

But after 4 day??? I usually keep on a soft microfiber stuff. And it does not seem to me rounded.

Energy Shock At The Body from MDA PRO if charging and closed

Hi All,
i have figured something out:
If i charge my MDA PRO and i touch the (RVS) solid body of it my finger gets an energy shock. I Only feel it as the MDA PRO is closed.......weird!
If I open the screen and i touch the body i dont feel it.
More of you people has felt this? (i mean if you are charging the phone and calling with it (so put the phone at your face :S) i dont know if this is normal ????
Ok that was it, just fresh figured it out so i thougth let post it......!
nobody?
What you feel is a slight static charge from the metal casing. I've had a few devices like this. I think its due to the high amount of current/voltage being delivered to the batteries.
No shock, but if you slide your finger on the shell of the device, you can feel enrgey passing through the device which is quite normal.
yeh, i get it all the time with my XDA Exec..... nasty loud snappy static shock. anything we can do to avoid it?
Wear your slippers when if you are walking on a carpeted floor. This is dangerous as it can cause damage to your data on you RAM and ROM if the conditions are right.
ok ok thanks guys so my universal is OK
i thought maybe something wrong!
OK Thanks!
ps is there an way to remove the t-mobile logo at the top (at the shock-plate hehe) without scrathing it...? And has someone done it (is there an picture available how the device looks like then?)

Button light leakage easy permanent fix

This fix might sound crazy but it works
i have 2 evo's version 002 both with pretty bad light leakage under the buttons. One has 3 buttons and the second 2. In the dark they are very visible and i was getting annoying ready to return both. I tried the blowdryer trick but that did not work.
This is what i did about a week a ago, it only takes a minute.
Go get one of this which you might have laying around your house.
http://www.oppictures.com/singleimages/400/SAN82001_1_1.JPG
Go to a dark area where you are able to see the leakage and start painting let line between the plastic and leakage. try pushing down the plastic to and using the pen to paint some of of the inner cover. Get a towel and remove the ink that got into the screen and bottom cover.
After doing this my phone have not shown any leakage. i have tried water in a towel to see if it would remove the ink and show light leakage but no leakage what so ever (do not try alcohol). This fix is invisible to the naked eyes, i have 4 friends with evo's and they could not tell what i did, even after telling them they still did not know where was painted
This is an easy cheap fix, it takes about 2 minutes and anyone (and i mean anyone) can do it.
So please if it make you feel better returning bu

Are you asking us? i dunno, did you try it?
i dunno....seems ghetto, seems htc should have used done better r&d.
Hmm, I'd just like a $200 phone to work in the first place, not start falling apart 7 days in. :|

I don't believe i have had a phone that did not have any kind of problems related to software and hardware. The palm pre was a mess every new one i got had dead pixels, after 6 unit i finally got one that had 2 dead pixels. My diamonds phone use to get boiling hot. i could go on. all my friends iphones had drop calls like 20 calls a days (most switch to evo with me).
now the evil have a few problems, like the back cover not been flush and that was solved with a peace of small paper on top of the battery.
You will fine defect, nothing is perfect.
Interesting fix but it doesn't eliminate the fact the leak is happening because the screen is separating. Pushing the screen down will eliminate the leaking. The best fix will be to make sure the screen is sitting all the way down. So far I've only seen one guy do it on androidforums by pushing the screen down with clamps and heating it with a hair dryer. After letting it sit over night he didn't have any more leaking or lifting after two days. We have yet to hear from him on the progress (I think he ended up exchanging it anyway). Another guy said he tried the same fix and ended up making his phone worse.
thanks this is a nice cosmetic band aid If i don't see it, it doesn't bother me as much

yeah but it seems the screen separation on happens the first few days of using the device and the progress stop. my device did not progress after i notice the leakage and was looking for a fix. This kind of fix the problem since you won't see the light leakage at all. The screen separation is wasn't really a problem since i only notice it when the light leakage is visible.
Again the point is missed. This does not prevent the fact that in time the leakage will evolve into screen separating from the base. The light is leaking because the adhesive used during rush manufacturing wad improperly sealed around the face of the device. This was a huge problem for the iphone (didn't think it would happen to me but here I am with my evo)
This worked like a charm I've already exchanged my EVO twice (on my 3rd evo). The first two had dead pixels, and all three have had the light leak. I'm not in the mood to go through the RMA process with HTC, so this fix was a perfect solution for me. I tried a similar fix using superglue on one of the other EVOs I had, but it left an unsightly white residue in the crack of the screen.
While this may not be a permanent solution to the problem with the screen coming unglued, I'm ecstatic that I no longer have to see light coming from the bottom of my screen.
Thanks a lot.
This thread. ... with that Expo 2 ... funny.
I found my own fix after trying several different things including tightening the torx screws, using a hair driver and clamps, and an expo dry erase marker. I read a post about using plastidip which I had, but unfortunately it was dried out. I then decided to use something else I had around. A fine tip black paint maker (Decocolor - LINK). I dabbed the tip on a piece of paper several times to get a little paint on the tip. I then carefully ran it across the edge where the light was leaking which allowed a very small amount of it to drip down in the crevice. I then ran a q-tip and a paper towel along the edge to make sure any that got outside of the crevice was removed. Now I have no light leakage. The paint is permanent, waterproof (not that I will be testing that) and will be easy to reapply if I ever need to. It also takes very little skill and the markers can be found at a local Michaels or arts/crafts store.
On a side note, the hairdryer/clamp method did help a little, but this paint maker did the job the rest of the way.

SPEN Inconsistencies (With Picture)

I got my tablet a couple months ago and it had been working great up until around ~4 weeks after I got it. Perhaps I didn't notice before, but my spen periodically creates "tails" when I end my strokes. (Picture below)
I've tested a few apps (including snote) and it seems to happen in all of them (except layer paint!). I doubt this has anything to do with the tablet itself... I'm more suspicious of my spen's pressure sensitivity being wonky.
Have any of you experienced this before?
XDA won't let me hyperlink since I'm new

Thats because the tip hasmt finished coming up before you move the pen

Just wondering, do you use a case with magnets in it? Some users have reported the magnets interfering with the wacom digitizer
That behavior is not characteristic of magnetic interference.
It's more likely just the pen tip not being completely lifted fast enough.

I'm using Samsung book cover case
Take a look at the threads discussing magnetic interference's effect on S-Pen and the pictures posted.
They don't look like that.

Official Samsung book case cover?
Anyway, best thing to do is take the case off and test. IF its still doing it then you know its NOT the case as Klau1 suggests. IF it stops, do a few more tests with and without the cover and then do a few graphs and write a thesis on it, you know for science
It may also be the sensitivity of the spen that is causing it......

Yeah sorry lol, I sent that one from my phone.
It is Samsung's official book cover case, I tried taking it off and it still seems to make the same stray marks... I followed up by adjusting the potentiometer and yet again, the same marks... with a less sensitive stylus.
I always wanted to buy a better stylus anyway, so I might do that and see if it helps resolve the issue... well at least kind of resolve =/
yes, it's just the stylus. Same happens on mine depending on how you handle the pen.
I had the same problem when I was installing N8010 4.1.1 Rom on my N8013

S-PEN feels loose

I'vehad the Note 4 for a few days and the S-Pen feels quite loose to me. It can even move around a 1mm when in its silo.
I compared it to my friends Note 3 and it felt very tight. It also feels much more tight when inserted with no movement.
Anyone with the same problem?
I'm just concerned that it will get only worse.
My note 4 have no problem with spen
Try factory reset

I had that problem this morning. I took my case off and reinsert the pen and now it's nice and sturdy again. Maybe the pen wasn't inserted all the way?
I double checked and it's all the way in. If I'm the only one I guess I got a defective one ...

Try putting the pen in with the button facing down. Seems if it's facing up, it does jiggle a little.
It actually feels more firm with button facing down. But it doesn't solve the problem completely in my case
lol, same story here. just wanted to create a tread...
i have 3 note4's at the moment (due to display problems): 2 of them have loose spen, at one device it sits tight like on my note3!
a solution is to put one or two layers of transparent tape around the silver end of the s-pen, although i do not prefer this method
as it looks not good...
I decided to return my device on Thursday since it was actually bothering me, but funny thing is Samsung is still claiming it is not a defect and studying my case. They even went as far as show me another unit with the same problem.
I really hope upcoming batches will have it ironed out.
Does anyone know a solution in fixing the loose s-pen? The one with tape doesn't work out well, and is not really aesthetic...
Have you tried comparong inserting the S-Pen with the button facing up and facing down? I had the same problem on my 10.1 2014 and it was much tighter when the button was facing down in the case. I know it's not a solution, but it might help.

Do about 20 jumping jax with phone in hand. If the spen slips out of place its a defect.
You could then argue it has s heath and should allow you to run with device.
Mine is snug, my Note 3 was a bit loose but it never fell out or anything. I guess if it's inside the silo and doesn't slip out with normal usage it's not a defect.
i added now one layer (one wrung around) of clear tape (which i do not like aesthetically!!), and now the spen sits tight.
button up or down didn't change anything for me...
now, with the pen tight, the device feels a lot more "solid", so for me the loose pen is a defect...
maybe adding a point of glue would also do the trick, i will experiment a little with that...

Please don't use glue in your brand new device. Get it exchanged!
Can someone define 'loose s pen'? I put mine in pressed in all the way. If I wiggle my finger on it, it slight jiggles, but not to the point where it falls off. I have never noticed this on any note before. I wouldn't say its a defect, but more of an annoyance.

Sounds exactly like mine, I can wiggle it a bit, but it still feels like sits there and won't fall out anyway..

If you put it in the other way its snug. Or at least mine is.
S Pen included with my Note 4
Hi i have 2 seperate questions about the S Pen. 1st. Has anyone removed the button on the pen to try to adjust the potentiometers for sending the pen thinner or thicker? I saw a pic of a note 4 S Pen with the button removed on this forum somewhere 2 days ago & it showed the pen having 2 round very small adjustable screw like things & they where explaining which way to turn the front one to adjust it, but I removed my button just to look at it & in my S Pen there is no adjustment mechanisms at all & there's only one round thing total so I'm just curious to see whether it's the same for all note 4 buyers or not?
2nd. I thought I heard something about Samsung developing & very soon making available for sale a newer updated S Pen for the note 4 & note edge to include Rotation & Tilt which was originally supposed to be included with both phones on release days of each. Does anyone know any info at all about this?

Weird touch screen issue with my phone.

My LG G6 has a really weird kind of touch screen problem. When I prop my phone into a 90 degrees place (even sometimes I flatten the phone into flat surface) , the areas that I drew in the example starts to get inresponsive.
Is this a software problem or hardware problem?
The areas that have the problem on the screen: http://imgur.com/a/kDQ7B

Hi. Just realised that my G6 has the same problem as yours. Doesn't really affect me too much in everyday use, but it is irritating to know that the high end phone like this has such problem . Just wondering what happen to yours now? Have u found a way to fix it? Thanks.

I fixed it by removing my glass protection. That glass made the phone's screen pretty irresponsive at those areas.
Thank you for your reply. I actually thought of the tempered glass too, but didn't expect that as the real cause. Anyway, I'll just stick to what i have now as it doesn't really impact my everyday use. Or I might try another glass brand as I dont think i will survive without screen protector, haha.
