That site doesn't seem to mention HSPA frequencies... I'm going to guess it's not going to work here.

It's coming to the US.That price must be for an unlocked phone.Saw another website for the Magic it was $499.99 unlocked.the website mobilecityonline.com Its out New York.There quote for retail is $799.99.

According to HTC, it has USA T-Mobile 3G

There will be specific versions of the device for USA or Europe or there will be one device worldwide?
I'm asking because i'm italian but i'm going to stay in NY for 3 weeks and I could buy one here if it is the same i can buy in Europe.

Man, I haven't been on the forums or used my Blackstone for a while now. I am using my samsung Behold right now because I sort of got bored with the HTC blackstone that I imported to use on t-mobile. so i lost my touch hd2 finally got over it. my insurance company is going to give me the value of the phone £499.99 according to play.com
my question is should i wait for another phone? or get another hd2. i loved the hd2, obviously somethings werent perfect but hey every phone is like that.
are there any upcoming phones that look exciting? saw the nexus one, but its kinda ugly !
i saw someone posted the US version has higher specs and im going to california mid feb, as long as its unlocked i could get this.

Personally I would grab another HD2, but if I were you I'd wait until Microsoft announce whatever they are going to announce at Mobile World Conference on the 15th. Then make a more informed purchase

If you loved the HD2, get another one You can always wait longer and longer adn perhaps something sweet will be announced soon. But then you'll have to wait some more weeks or months before it's actually released.
Wouldn't get the t-mobile usa version though since it's specifically made for them, using different bands then in europe so it's prolly useless here (for making calls and such at least )

The HD2b has not had a release date. It's been rumoured to be some time in spring, so you've got quite a wait if you want that. Besides, you won't get 3G with it as it's specifically for TMO US. Basically, forget about that phone. The extra RAMAROM isn't really that big a deal anyway.

I do like the looks of the photon...!

Buy another HD2 for £403.50 from Amazon and keep the £95.50 towards a deposit when there really is a phone worth upgrading from the HD2 for. At the moment there isn't a great deal of choice, but in 6-12 months who knows what might be available?
With the latest official ROM, the HD2 really is a very good smartphone.

DONT change your mind i have had some phones in my time and this blows them all away

i've also been waiting patiently.. so tempted to get either a N1 or desire... but i know I want a bigger screen having used HD2 till recently, don't think I could go back to anything less than 4"..
btw, when it's released in US will it be available at other places around the world? os is 14~15th the release date for US only?
I am hoping I could grab it for cheaper than what it is now from UK or something..

I did read France are having about the same time as the us,I'm sure it wont be long before its all over the place

ordered mine yesterday from Dell UK got fone call from dell today confirming the order and say the carrier will fone me about delivery.
bit over the top really normally u just buy something online and they deliver it whenever
still LOOKING FORWARD to it , my birthday next monday and work bonus on Thursday

doesn't dell streak support 850 as well as 900? so no need for two variations right? wonder why it's taking so long for them to release globally..
this is slightly off, but does anyone know if DELL have international warranty??? clearly I will be buying from US or europe but will be using in ASIA and Australia.. wonder if they have any policies regarding international warranty..

When will it be coming to Europe?
I read that the Wifi version will launch in Europe round about the same time as the full 3g one. Any ideas? I'm planning to get one (wifi) from Italy, when my dad goes up there in May, if it is out then.

The wifi version comes out in UK in the first week of April, so I am guessing it should be around the same time in rest of Europe, give or take a week.

Noticed you in SA. I am planning on buying one as well, the release has been pushed back to July in SA, though I don't know which version it is and about what price it will be.
I am considering getting the US wifi version from aureus tech if my trip to UK doesn't materialise soon.

Ya, the wifi one seems better, as 3G is savagely expensive here and if you absolutely need it you can always tether your phone to it.

Never used them, but they are a reputable seller. Forgot to mention that their price does not include Customs duty.
Another importer that has it at the cheapest price is have2have. Their pricing is the total cost. But I am not sure if they are a reputable seller, trying to find out and will let you know.
The advantage of ordering from aureustech is they provide 6 months after sales support.

Yeah, if you planning on getting the 3g version from europe/UK I suggest you get a Cell C 2gb data sim for R999. I use it for my phone and it works great and I get good speeds.

HTC One in Canada.

Thought I would start this thread for those who have info regarding the upcoming release of the One in Canada.
I have pre-ordered mine through Rogers. I believe the pre-order ends on March 22. Perhaps that is when we may expect the release of the One. That's the most solid info that seems to be floating around.
Anyone have info related to the Canadian release date, please post.

But can i buy it from Telus and use it on Koodo? From my understanding, its the same company, same network, so will i have any issues? Some network incompatibility?
Just moving back to Canada and need to get a plan and phone so im leaning towards Koodo as it offers good plans.

Really hoping the production delays won't be affecting us Canadians too much. I'm keeping close tabs on Mobilesyrup for any news regarding the One's release. Didn't go w/ the pre-order through Rogers. Figured I'll probably get it faster if I check various Rogers stores the day it's released.

I did the opposite. I bought a One V from Koodo outright ($175), put my Telus sim card in it and was up and running in no time.
A Telus or Koodo "locked" device work on either. My "my Telus Mobility" page even shows a Koodo One V as my current phone.

Be careful, MOST of devices work on both carriers, but som eare locked to Koodo or Telus. For instance, Blackberries are locked, you cannot use a Telus Blackberry on Koodo.
Once again, most of devices will work on both carriers without unlocking

Damn I am jealous of all you guys. I got an HTC One X+ about 4 months ago. I would love to have the One but I need to wait for the next iteration. I know for the vast majority of people the storage is enough, but I need at least 64GB. My one X+ has 4 GB free and it is 64. Here is to hoping for the next one. I love the build quality of HTC devices compared to other android vendors, and from what it seems this one is the best so far.

Yup, blackberries are unique because of BBM and the fact that their email etc has to be routed through their servers. That is also why all companies have smartphone plans, then blackberry plans due to the licencing fee. If it is not a Blackberry, it should be fine. The fellow I responded to was asking specifically about the One

I am hoping the 64gb version of the One makes it here (in black). If not, 32gb is fine for me at least. I got the One V as a temp phone cause I was pissed last years One XL and S had only 16gb versions for Canada. Almost jumpsed on the One X+ but figured i'd wait for the inevitable spring / MWC ish flagship that HTC always releases. I am glad I did.

I read that it would be available in March. I haven't read of any delays in Canada. Nothing other than they won't disclose a launch date and it is nearing the end of the month.
So perhaps it no longer is March.
