Open Touch Project - Wing, P4350 General

Hello all,
I was flashing roms all day long from different contributors.
But now that I finally got a good one. The same stupid "bootlogo" keeps still showing with the text "open touch project" and this isn't an open touch project.
So what does it keep showing and how can I get rid of it. Cause it slows down the phone. Current OS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556389
Thanks for the help!

That splash screen is not part of the OS. It's a separate splash screen that not many cooks change.
If you want to overwrite it, flash one of my JustHome or JustStableV2 as MOST versions of them had a simple HTC splash screen that looks more professional. Or make your own using the walkthrough I created. (It's on the first page of the development forum.) You will be flashing a created splash ROM (separate from the OS ROM) and it will most likely wipe your current settings like a hard reset when it flashes.)

Thanks for the quick response,
After flashing the JustHome and the Just Stable the screen remains the same.
Best regards,
Vincent

Not all versions came with the Splash Screen, unfortunately. I don't remember which ones I included it with.

If you'd like an animated startup image (it's the bootscreen of Windows 7 starting up), then you could flash my ROM, get the bootscreen on your phone, and then flash back to your chosen ROM.

That's not the splash screen to which he's referring to. He's referring to the splash screen before that one.

Well he asked to simply get rid of the Open Touch Project splash screen, that's all. He didn't specify which one he wanted it replaced with, so he can just use one that he thinks looks nice!

Well i replaced it with the HTC bootskin the nice one and it works now and for the second one to create a "cooler" effect i just replaced it with advanced config. Thanks for the help!

That's why appearance has different tastes. And honestly, I think the one that you think has more "class" (in the picture), is way to lame! So, we have our own ideas, so be it!

come on folks, does anyone have any idea or is it just not possible?
i gues its possible i think u need to use the tool for universal but with resized pictures, but im not sure. anyway arte supports pdocwrite so it possible. try to ask poff
This procedure works on Artemis

This only appears to be the windows welcome screen aka splash screen 2,
what i want to change is splash screen 1, the very first screen you see when you turn the device on. I have an O2 orbit and its an O2 splash screen. The windows screen is easy to change.
That is known as bootscreen and can be changed only when flashed with other ROM and that too on CID unlocked devices only.

you can get O2 splashscreen by flashing German O2 rom if you have Orbit, but its old splashscreen, then flash the rom of your choice.
changing bootscreen
My Tmobile loading screen changed to the HTC bootscreen after upgrading to the vanilla 2.1 rom. (There is a 3.0 rom, but this keeps the tmobile bootscreen) So my advice is; upgrade to vanilla 2.1, and when you're done with that, upgrade to any rom you like, and still have the nice black htc earth bootscreen )

my 3 startup screens..
I have created and replaced the 3 screens that you see when booting up the O2 Xda Orbit phone.
1, was the O2 splash screen
2, was the animated welcome screen
3, was the windows mobile screen.
now replaced with cool looking startup screens.
i used splashtool (included) to flash the 1st screen, then using activesync i replaced the animated.gif and the welcomehead.96.png in the windows folder then did a soft reset and all works great.

I like!
If I wanted to use this in DCD's kitchen, how do I do it?
Or you can create your own with customized text
Here's the link
question though....if you use it as startup animation...does it display the word once...or does it keep cycling through over and over...
i think it'd look badass if it only did it once....but if it kept going it might look dumb
those are the coolest splash screens i have ever seen. never cared much about them in till now. hmmmm, now to figure out how to cook them into the rom.
i know that the ppcgeeks kitchen it's pretty easy and that i could always cook with that first and then reflash my dcd kitchened rom, but is there a way to do it with out ppcgeeks kitchen flash?
thanks though. nice post

the easiest way I found is to use advance configuration to change them out....you will need the new 2.1 though the older one dont give you the option of what gif you want for your startup animation...if you are going to use mine give me a little bit to update how many frames it has.... you'll see edit in the first post when I'm done
You don't need to use advanced config to do it, as I have seen a lot of people having issues with their phone using that program with 3.0.x. There is a process called bootsplash cooking. You cook up a small bootsplash ROM that you flash just like you would one of dcd's system ROMS. All it does is flash the bootsplash, takes about 5 seconds. I've done it several times using 2.x.x.

Well ya you can go thru all of that but it's easier the other way. As far as DCD's rom's go..... there has never been an issue with me running advance config on his rom's, neither the old or new, and his ROM's are all I run. So I'd guess there is a lil discrepincy in the compilation or the ROM or the install of advance config. So it's really up to the end user on how they want to get it done. I vote for simple and easy since I run the program anyways. Plus I can change them out very simply and I don't have to flash anything. So it's 6 of one, half dozen of the other.
Bored - Are you tallin about Shaaps Advanced config? And if so, where in the options is this at? I have Shaps V 2.02.1.0.0..

It's right above the Music Plug-in section. It's marked Startup Animation. Third line down you can select the GIF File you want to use for your animation. Really simple and easy. My suggestion would be to store the gif in My Documents/My Videos that way it's not looking for your sd card.
I have been looking all over for this config tool. someone wanna point me in the right direction to the download? or should i just download a kitchen with it in there?
of course just as i post the question, i find it

If you just want this startup animation without flashing a new ROM, you can use a file manager that has the capability to overwrite files (such as Resco Explorer) to replace the existing one on the phone. Just rename any animated GIF file that you want to use to WMStartup_ani.gif and replace the one on your device in the Windows folder. Soft reset your phone and enjoy the new one.
thanks maybe I can try my hand at making some...if school doesn't get in my way which I hope it doesn't...who knows ^_^

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Only works on CyanogenMod 6.0.0. Don't put silly posts saying it's not working because you're using a different ROM. And it's put in the HTC Desire section because it's only supposed to work with the HTC Desire. You can try it with other phones using CyanogenMod but I take no responsibility for anything that goes wrong.
This is not a Metamorph.
If you have any questions ask around, there are always answers to everything, if you still can't find the answer only at last resort can you message me. If you ask me something silly or that has been already answered I WILL NOT REPLY.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok well with that out of the way.
This is really a port of my old Minimal Matte Grey Theme.
Everything else is Sense based because I love the colour scheme Sense uses and the buttons it uses too but I'm most probably going to change it to suit the whole matte thing.
I'm going to keep adding more and more stuff to the theme so keep up with updates.

WinMo still there after flashing Android on NAND :(

Hi, I'm very new to HD2 and currently having a problem with it. I used to flash some winmo roms on my HD2 UK, but then I moved to Android. Everything was working well with Android builds on SD card, however, when I started to flash Android on NAND, the welcome screen of my previous WinMo rom is still there. So do I need to do a task29 to format my device's rom then? And if so, do i need to flash radio and MAGLDR again?
I still get that few seconds screen of my energy Rom but it doesn't mean wm is still there.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
well winmo isnt on your phone anymore but you can still do it to have a "clean" build. make a task29 (preferrably with the light version which is using a blank .nbh, youll see it in first post of task29 thread) then flash any .50 radio and afterwards magldr and android. did it the same way to have a (hopefully) clean build

ANDROI_PPC-SHIFTPDA_GingerBread 2.3.2_WP7S_NAND (26.JAN.11)\......if you or anyone has a link to the DFT gingerbread nand id be much appreciative DD
It's doing exactly what it should do. I'm not being funny, but did you even look at the thread before downloading the ROM, because the very first image on the page shows you a WP7 style app running?

You need to either flash a stock gingerbread ROM (if you do want Gingerbread), or find out what the WP7 style app is and just uninstall it.
The good news is that you do have Gingerbread now running on your phone
no i did look but i thought it would be switchable? because even on the screenshot you got there there are 2 styles to the rom or so it appeared to me

If you find out what the Windows Phone app is then you can clear the defaults for it (Settings, Applications, Manage applications), so that when you press the home key it will ask you what app to use. You can then select the stock launcher and use that instead.
If you're not going to use the WP7 app though, you're better off getting rid of it.
