Does somebody know address to flash the same via MTTY to Artemis as well?

Im also very intrested into changing my startup screen.
its a great Idea to put your address there because it doesn't go away after a hardreset and most people wont know how to get rid of it.

planning to put a nice bluefish over there, you figured it out yet?

still seeing a htc logo at boot...? did it just change again, from a htc logo to a htc logo, or did nothing happen?

Dutty's IS not OK FOR ARTEMIS You have to use an othe tool. i will upload it tonight i don't have it here at my work. DUTTY's is for the hermes not the artemis

I have change the OS from German to Italian, without canghe the files IPL and SPL

If you are successfull, it will work - i personally had some problems, but may be this was with a former version. Since that i build my roms with HTC Tool.

The next rom that I cook, will try to use HTC Tool.

Hi friend - we all are always learning.
For info - i use Dutty´s tool for extracting - for example if i need an special radio rom.

YES, I use for extracting the files * .nbh, and it is very simpler and comfortable than NBHextract.

didn't work
it didn't work followed the instructions to make the nb file then converted it to nbh with the htc tool.
after that I renamed the file to TOM_B.B_v3.7_WWE.nbh and used its flash program RUU
it goes to 100% in a split second, and then it says on the pc screen error 228? (not sure about the number) wrong file size, invalid or corrupt file.
the phone simply reboots and I the old bootscreen.
but at the bright side... my phone still works
anything im doing wrong?
did it work with the dutty tool?
btw the htc tool only allows you to select one bootscreen no sub bootscreen. did the people that got it to work with dutty select 2 bootscreens?

Upgrading English WM6 to Finnish WM6 - problems, need help!

I upgraded my wife's P3300 from English WM5 to English WM6 (WWE 3.13.405.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90) without a problem.
OK, now I'd like to upgrade it from English WM6 to Finnish WM6 (FIN 3.13.414.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90). When I start the EXE file, it will go all the way to 2% but after that it stops and announces that the hardware (P3300 with English language) is not suitable for Finnish WM6 upgrade. Then the phone is restarted and nothing has happened. It's still in English.
I'd really appreciate if someone would know a solution to flash that Finnish software to that phone. Why it doesn't approve the Finnish software? Is there a certain setting that I'd have to do in order to flash the phone with Finnish WM6?

P.S. Both softwares are DLd from HTC's website so they're not cracked softwares...
BTW, that US HTC link TCP-IP address (to those different softwares) has changed. If someone's interested to get the new TCP-IP address, I can post it over here.

No I didn't since I didn't know that it requires unlocking in order to flash any WM6 version to it. I'll try it again. Thanks for the advise!
BTW, our phones are not locked by any operator, but I really hope that this method works also for "standard" HTC P3300 phone.
P.S. If unlocking is what it takes to flash any WM6 version to P3300, I think I can manage. But if I'd need some further information, I'd be very pleased if I could then continue my series of "stupid questions"

Need for help with USPL!!!!!!!
Well, USPL didn't work for me...
If the flashing should take about 10 minutes, the DOS screen was displayed about 5 minutes and the state of upgrade only 5 seconds.
After that I tried to flash the Finnish WM6 to my wife's phone without any success. The upgrading stops at 2%, after that the phone is rebooted and I'll get the following error message:

Downloaded directly from HTC US site, so it must be an official ROM version.
The English WM6 I have flashed and it's running OK is the following:
HTC_P3300_WWE_3.13.405.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship_R.exe
also downloaded from HTC US site, so it's official.
I just don't get it how the hell I could get that Finnish WM6 into my wife's phone... Any help will be highly appreciated!
Never mind, I found the solution. Now my wife's going to get HTC P3300 with Finnish WM6 ;-)

In the windows folder of your wife´s Artemis should be a file named HTCHome.dll.0409.mui and you have to rename it as HTCHome.dll.040B.mui

Open Touch Project

Hello all,
I was flashing roms all day long from different contributors.
But now that I finally got a good one. The same stupid "bootlogo" keeps still showing with the text "open touch project" and this isn't an open touch project.
So what does it keep showing and how can I get rid of it. Cause it slows down the phone. Current OS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=556389

That splash screen is not part of the OS. It's a separate splash screen that not many cooks change.
If you want to overwrite it, flash one of my JustHome or JustStableV2 as MOST versions of them had a simple HTC splash screen that looks more professional. Or make your own using the walkthrough I created. (It's on the first page of the development forum.) You will be flashing a created splash ROM (separate from the OS ROM) and it will most likely wipe your current settings like a hard reset when it flashes.)

Not all versions came with the Splash Screen, unfortunately. I don't remember which ones I included it with.

If you'd like an animated startup image (it's the bootscreen of Windows 7 starting up), then you could flash my ROM, get the bootscreen on your phone, and then flash back to your chosen ROM.

Well he asked to simply get rid of the Open Touch Project splash screen, that's all. He didn't specify which one he wanted it replaced with, so he can just use one that he thinks looks nice!

Well i replaced it with the HTC bootskin the nice one and it works now and for the second one to create a "cooler" effect i just replaced it with advanced config. Thanks for the help!

any one can help me with this? it's an official ROM 6.1 from HTC site I've downloaded and install on my elfin every thing works fine the only problem is that when I turn the device ON, on the Boot screen logo, there's a window logo on the upper which is not suppose to be there >,< any help?

- Also no screen shots are attached here.
- On a side note, first you need to search if anyone else here has faced a similar problem? If no, you need to be specific regarding what is the issue you are facing.
- Having said that, please note that no offense is meant here . It is just a small piece of advice to get help faster .

ok here I'll upload it again coz on the first post I used

my SPL and IPL is 3.10 maybe its not compatible with my SPL or IPL any idea? I've extracted the ROM and used only Ext_ROM,SPLASH,RADIO and OS.nb (NO IPL SPL) just to be safe.

- As far as I know, this is .png file that gets displayed till the OS boots in background.
- Its name is welcomehead.96.png. Look for it in your phone's \Windows directory.
- You can replace it whatever you want if you adhere to few rules like : name should be welcomehead.96.png and size should be 240 * 320.
- As a matter of fact, my avatar is my boot-up screen in my ROMs .

and as we can see if the taskbar should be on boot up, then I think the window logo should be on the left corner on the bar [inside, before the line]

Do you mean that Windows icon in the top midle during bootup? That happens because of the services.exe file. If it is replaced with a newer one then it goes away. The file may need to be cooked into a ROM though (it's fixed in Onyx WM6.1 ROMs). It's not a big deal, why are you worried and making a thread for it? It goes away after it boots.

yup the icon on the top... so does it means that this is a WM 6.1 bug? i'm worried coz its so annoying tho there is no thread for this or is there? thats why they put the "new thread" button on this forum.
this services.exe thing can I replace it with other services.exe from other ROM without cooking it? and just explore using PC "copy paste"

If you also want a wm6.5 booting screen you can do the following
1. get the two files which are attached below
2. If you download SHAHEN's rom then its very good.......otherwise if you only want the wm6.5 booting screen then you may download only my files
3. copy the splash2.nb file to your windows directory in you ppc
4. now copy the splash_changer to you ppc and run it..
5. You are done now reset your device and see
extract the splash.rar file
it contains two files Splash2.nb (wm6.5 booting screen)
and splash.nb (wm6.1 booting screen)
splash2.nb can be directly copied to the windows folder
for Splash.nb first rename it to Splash2.nb before coping to windows folder

It would be great if somebody could upload some screenshots, cause my battery is dead and radio part is bricked. At the present moment I can't do it. Especially dialer screenshot, like this one, but with English captions.

Russian version already contained wm 6.5 splashscreen like on the banner. So I'm confused.

Yep, no problems on flashing. RUS version works very well. I've started my work on WWE port 2 weeks ago, but..... I've got a little problem. Unfortunately, due to lack of free time, this project was temporary stopped. As soon as it is possible, I will continue to work on this port... I hope it will be ok.

Ok. I've finally solved all problems. Today I'll start building WWE version. And perhaps, on the weekend I'll upload 2nd WWE version with a little Add-on.
