Hi all
Expansys.com is advertising that the HD will be out in 5 days at 510 UKP.
Anyone can confirm if it's coming out sooner that expected?

Well in Cyprus, the Xperia is coming on Saturday and the HD is coming at the end of the month.
But if i am not mistaken, I got my Diamond from Expansys before anyone else in the world had it. And I know that they (Expansys) msut have some kind of deal with HTC because they are always the first ones to get the phones in before anybody else.
That's why I believe once again they will be the first ones to get it in.
Then again, that's my humble opinion.

Well I live in America, and that converted to USD is $887.
I dunno if I'll pay that much for that phone

If not for that phone, for what else? There's no other phone in the world that can compete with the Touch HD, so I'd pay (almost) every price...

the web page says literally:
"We have no confirmed lead time for this item - call for more details".

Anyone know how long it would take to get something shipped from expansys to the US? How quick could someone in the states get a phone instock from them?

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble (including my own) but I just called them and they said it's still expected for early november, so I guess the 5-day waiting time is wrong.

Exapnsys USA is the guys I called, and they confirmed it wouldn't be out till november.

10th nobvembr o expansys uk
they only had the diamond first because they were grey imports
im sure htc said they would never let expansys sell htc again
i guess they realised they would miss out on loads and loads of sales

The order tracking status today says:
HTC Touch HD (UK, English, GPS) 1 1 Estimated 27 Days
I also notice the price is higher today....

devicewire.co.uk, which is owned by brightpoint, are saying 10th november for their stock....
they haven't announced a price yet though.

....the delivery information is "approx. November" for www.digitec.ch

It will be branded as the official G2 or the G2 Touch ...

like i mentioned i aint heared nothing about it being pushed back at t-mobile... the amazon one is sim free...
im at work right now and our systems still show 17.7 as release date....will know more on friday....

Hmm, thats annoying! Expansys is still showing the 20th July, so fingers crossed, but not holding me breathe! Amazon are normally pretty spot on with release dates, but have to wait and see.

Just phoned T-mobile and they said it is being released on the 20th July and would have to ring back that day to get one!

I'm hearing 24th July from Amazon, 24th July _OR_ 15th August UK release.
My dutch provider is pushing it back week after week (it was 8th July, then 10th, then 14th, now 22nd. I'm still going with the 24th in my mind ).

Just checked their website now, and it says:
"Availability: Expected release date 20 Jul 09".
You may still be correct though, depends, where did you get that information from?

Its good, it changes daily. Last night it reverted back to 20th July, this morning its on 2nd August, it can't seem to make its mind up.

friend from London said they told him in T Mobile they won't be selling it unlocked....can anyone please deny that?

T-Mobile UK won't sell it unlocked, though there are plenty of other vendors who will (Expansys etc).

don't live in the UK, have a friend going there and staying till July 23rd, was counting on him picking it up (tax free) :/

Well, the Expansys date has gone back to 20th July, so you might be in luck! Given that it seems to change hourly, it's doubtful though!
Personally I'm hoping that the T-Mobile website will have them available tomorrow as I'm out of contract and use T-Mobile anyway.

HD2 Release Date Delayed

While contacting Handtec to pre-order the HD2, I have been informed that there will be a delayed. Instead of 11 of November, the new availability date has been pushed back to 18 November or so.
Can anyone enquire with their retailer and confirm (or refute) this bad news?
Apparently, HTC advised them of the delay; yet, no details have been given.
I suspect a ROM or logistics problem.

Clove changed the ETA as well last night
Stock due 13th November (First UK Stock). Should be free stock so place back orders now!

I have ordered the HD from Handtec before and I think they're cheaper!

1 week delay shouldn't be that much of a problem. When I read the thread title I though of something like mid December...

I can agree with you to some extent, but I had already made my mind that I was going to get and play with it net weekend. A delay is a delay as far as I am concerned and if there is no, there may be more! Who knows...!

I sell my old blackstone few days ago, so 1 week more with a ****ty nokia yes, it is a big deal

As far as I know (Ordering in Netherlands)
NL Version was 5/6nov
UK Version was 12/13nov
So I don't see this as new for me...

Exactly, I just sold mime on eBay thinking I would just spend few days with Polaris (backup), now I will try to delay the delivery of the sold item. I don't know what to say to the bidder, though!

So, they don't know the release date and they don't know if they will have enough stock for all on the first batch.
I am thinking in cancel the order and get new one on clove, 13th and they say that he will have enough stock for all.

Today I got a Mail that delivery will delay until the End of November

Fingers crossed 3 have told me it could come next week (but the expected date on their website is in fact just a latest expected date) but they'll let me know, and if they let me know. I'll let you know!
Also buymobilephones.net told me that they were expecting stock by the 18th so there could be hope hat HTC are back on track and have pulled it back. Atleast on the Silver handset anyway.
So if you're being put off by a possible wait its worth asking the question rather than just not bothering because you think its late anyway.

I had same conversation with CPW last week they told me while estimated date on the site and sent out in Texts is 29th there is a chance stock will come sooner, I'm so hoping mid next week

Buymobilephones.net have updated me on Twitter saying 28th.
Perhaps 3 were indeed just pulling a fast one.

Anyone had any updates as yet on deliveries? Been trying to get through to someone at 3 that knows anything at all about anything but it seems today they're only letting people that at aged 30 are still having their asses changed by their mothers answer the calls!

Regarding 3 - I ordered the silver version on Saturday afternoon - spoke to someone on the helpline yesterday (Monday 18th) and she said it would be delivered today (19th), but I rang again to confirm this morning but it was still in the warehouse and not due for despatch later today. Rang again a few minutes ago to see if was going out tonight, but now been told that only orders made on or before last Friday would be going out this week - any orders made Saturday onwards would be delivered for the 28th (which is fair enough I suppose, as that's what it said on the website when I ordered). Thought there was a sneaky chance I might get it early for a moment, but not to be.

Yes I was told there was a chance of delivery today but apon calling today it was like everyone had forgotten the One existed or something. Acting properly stupid! They said they had stock coming in and I could hopefully have it by today but it seems they're saying one thing and doing another!
I don't mind too much as long as it does come by the 28th as promised, but it annoys me that they say something to get your hopes up then don't follow through. Gits!

And yet Phones 4 u told me about 20 mins ago that they could send me a Silver one today if I wanted one??
I don't understand how every reseller has such different stock levels, availability and delivery dates....HTC have announced on Twitter that they've been rolling the phone out since Friday gone!!!

I just placed my order for a One last night on Asda Direct.
Anyone else orederd from them also?
Thought I would start a thread in case anyone else has.
Seems like most people who getting it SIM Free are getting it from Handtec but Handtec have no cashback so works out £13 more.
Looks like Asda Direct delivery is hit or miss so even though it states delivery on release date (which is wrong info as its bank holiday and I called them and they said should be with you on the Saturday), I doubt I will get it before 2nd April.

Does Asda direct allow international purchases also?

Ordered mine last week - due to be delivered to me the end of next week (29th). The bundle is a nice touch and £499 all in very good. They only have silver, which suits me fine. And it's SIM free...

Got a text from them this morning that said by the 29th. ( I ordered it quite a while ago). As that is Good Friday I suspect the day before... anyway at least it's coming!
EDIT: Just noticed the page now has a "7 days to go" banner on it...

I called yesterday to ask and they asked the manager and he said no deliveries on good Friday so earliest will be 30th.
Yeah banner said 8 days to go yesterday which counts down to Good Friday.
Dont matter when you placed order, unless they dispatch it on 27th you wont get it before 30th.

Hi! What made you say that those who ordered from those stores won't be getting UK handsets?
I think it's quite weird since those are based on UK. I don't think HTC would be stocking US or Asian handsets on those stores right? Else that would just mess up their distribution structure.

Ás much as I want that good luck it's highly impossible. As you can see I am not from UK so having a non-UK phone on handtec would greatly benefit me as that would likely give me chances of having a compatible Asian LTE. But I already asked them about that before I made a purchase and as they said they'll be providing EU models only. They even posted on the description the LTE bands it will be supporting. So.... hopefully your words would create a miracle. lol

I sent them a email saying they are false advertising that we will get it delivered on good friday. Thats impossible so they are in fact lying to customers.
Will ask for good will reward or I will go instore to purchase one at Phones4U.

You might be right. I think most orders, if not all, will be delivered on the 2nd of April or after that, but I hope to be proven wrong.
