Mount XIP from OS image

Can you mount the individual xip's from the OS image on an SD card? If so, does anyone know the hex addresses they start and stop at? Thanks.

How can you mount something that is a raw text/data
segment ?

OK. Guess I was confused about how it worked. Can you mount the entire OS image on a SD card then? Again, where to start stop on Hex address? Thanks.

Ext3 Usage app

Hi All,
Does anyone know of an App that can show how full the EXT2 or EXT3 partition of the SD card is?
I've read that there is a command that can be run from the terminal.
The reason I ask is that I have a lot of Apps and am wanting to see if it is worth increasing th size of the EXT3 partition.

Download Quick System Info from the market. There's a free and a pro version. I find the free version is good enough.

Fyi. The command is
df -h

I have looked for similar posts but I haven't found exactly what I was looking for or I found old posts in the general sections of the forum, so I ask here:
What is the usefulness of an ext3 partition on the SD memory for applications?
Can anyone tell me an accurate guide to follow the procedure?

I think you will not need it.
ext3 earlier used for app2sd, but now almost all custom roms have native app2sd = means that you don' t have to make a own partition

I'm starting to think that there is no use to format the SD to ext3..

U can make a partition in your SD for example of 1 gb EXT3 only for apps, you can make it with minitool partition wizard home edition (its free)
In ext3 the apps is fully saved in the sd (.apk, dalvik cache and data) and you can liberate more space in the disk than app2sd.
if u don't understand say me jaja my english is poor and i talk like a tarzan ! xD

Finally!
Thank you very much. I will provide downloading MiniTool Partition Wizard and format the sd by myself. If I find it difficult, I will ask your help here.

you are welcome, other form of format the SD in ext is with clock work recovery but you'll lose all your data
make a backup of your all data in sd before make a partition !

HD 2 internal memory increase

Greetings to all,
I recently installed MIUI 3.10 rom.. The problem I face is the low internal memory.. it's 24MB. I would like to know if I can increase it. I tried Ungazed's method with no result. Rom's android version is 4.2.2.

can you tell us the sizes of your partitions? expecially /system one?

For the system partition I used 290MB. To the sd card I created 2 primary partitions, 1 FAT32 @3gb and 1 ext4 @512MB

you can try to increase system partition to 325 for example and the ext4 on sd to 1 GB...

try link2sd to move apps from internal storage su sd partition... this way you'll save space :good:

Hi guys,
I' am about to order the OnePlus 2, the 64GB version. Could you please help me find out the following:
What is the actual available internal storage? (in real GBs)
What is the size of the system partition?
What is the size of the cache partition?
Could you perhaps post an image with the partition sizes from a tool like Disk Info?
