help me unlock my Tmobile MDA!

hey there ive downloaded the software thats suppose to unlock the phone but im wondering why its not working for me. can someone give me some quick easy steps to get this baby unlocked? someone at a local flee market can do it for...100$ but i dont wanna pay that much
heres some info on the phone:
Rom version: 2.26.10.2 WWE
ROM date: 6/7/06
Radio Version 02.25.11
Protocal Version: 4.1.13.12
ExtROM version: 2.26.10.105
then when i boot up i get these:
IPL 2.26
SPL 2.26
GSM 02.25.11
OS 2.26.10.2
anyhelp would be so awesome guys ive had the phone for like 3 weeks now and i cant make calls

What version of what are you talking about? Just follow that thread. Its pretty simple.

i didnt get the unlock code last time i did it, but im trying again tonight on a friends pc hopefully it will come thru!

look in the upgrading etc. sub forum of the Wizard forums. There is a sticky there that is titled [READ FIRST] The Definitive Guide for Unlocking G3 Wizards. It will tell you everything you need to do to unlock your phone. Just don't skip any of the steps they are all important. There is no reason to pay someone $100 to unlock your phone, you can do it yourself in less than an hour by following these instructions. And by the information you have posted you have a G3 device which makes your life a whole lot easier.

i have to find out how to backup all my contacts though because i dont want to lose them. once i have the phone unlocked is it a good idea to overclock it and install WM6 ? i dont wanna kill my device though

umm, you could just connect to a pc and sync your contacts up in Outlook. There are also software options to back them up but database structure changes between WM5 and WM6 will make a restore impossible. Syncing them up through an activesync connection with a PC is your best bet for backing up contacts.
You could also copy them all to your SIM though I don't know if all fields are preserved if you do that.
As far as overclocking goes, I would suggest you use the battery status plugin and use application specific overclocking, as most things will not need or benefit from over clocking.
If you are flashing to CUSTOM rom make sure you CID unlock as well as the SIM unlock that you need to do so that you can use the phone. They are 2 different unlocks one blocks other carriers sims, the other blocks other carriers, or custom roms.
You should also back up your EXT Rom before flashing a custom or a different carrier rom. It will make recovering your GPRS/MMS settings and other carrier specific settings easier.

alrighty ive downgraded the rom to buttons cooked rom and tried to run the lokiwiz.bat and it doesnt do anything, i dont get a code or anything. I run it from the C:/ and press U to unlock and heres what i get:
Type the letter and press Enter: U
Unlocking mobile... DO NOT DISCONNECT UNTIL THE PHONE REBOOTS!

tells me my phone is unlocked but i dont even have the correct codes to unlock it. Any idea whats going on here?

Thatsbthe procedure to CID (not SIM) unlock a phone if I understand what you did. Since you are this far finish that procedure (use the sticky by Dr P found in Wizard upgrading). You can use the thread I pointed you to, to SIM unlock your device.

yeah i read that guide and downgraded the rom now when i boot i get these:

CID unlocking won't give you codes, but make sure you follow all of the steps (your other post indicated some errors when you did the lokiwiz). Did you put enabler.rapi n your phone and run that first? Also make sure the lokiwiz files were placed right on the root of C:\ (just like Step 5 says).
Also, once you get the Lokiwiz unlock to work, then you'll need to do the button rom again to get the SPL down to 1.xx. Then you can move back to an official ROM (like T-Mobile 2.26). After you finish that, then do the lokiwiz .3a that was in the post I referred you to, and that one will give you codes.

yeah i ran that made sure it was installed on the phone. I also made sure i was guest when i sync'ed to the phone. lokiwiz was also in the C:/ directory and ran with the prompt like normal.
As far as i know im suppose to downgrade the rom from what i posted in #1 to button's rom. Which i have installed but my SPL is 2.26. When i get the unlock codes and they work i run the same Button rom installer to lower the SPL to 1.x then i can upgrade to a newer faster rom correct?
I know these seem like really newb questions and stuff but i THINK i have an idea on whats going on i just keep getting thoughs errors and no unlock code for the phone.

Your IPL will go down then after you CID unlock you can flash it again and your SPL version will be the same as your IPL version.
Did you execute enablerapi on your device prior to choosing the selection in the lokiwiz menu?

Yes, thats how you do a CID Unlock. You downgrade to button. So thats fine and totally expected...

WHy do you keep saying about getting unlock codes. I've told you 2 or 3 times now that you will NOT get codes by doing this process. You run the lokiwiz once doing the U and the phone will reboot. Then you run it again doing the C and the phone will reboot. Nowhere in the instructions does it say that you will get codes. After you complete those steps, since your SPL is 2.xx, you have to do the button rom again and that should take your SPL to 2.xx (if it doesn't do it a few times until it does). Then (and only then) you can flash the T-Mobile 2.26 official rom to get your IPL/SPL back to 2.26. Then go back to the original post I gave you to do the actual SIM unlock (and thats where you will get codes.

Upgrading HTC Feeler/Typhoon/ to dual os

This is a guide to upgrade HTC Feeler/Typhoon/Amadeus to dual os,
1.downloading the new 0109spl and then and flashing the new spl to your phone,the same as upgrading to wm6 of 39m.
2,downloading our dual os rom,you can download it at http://www.mediafire.com/?i5a2xzztmtj
then flash it on your phone by mtty, it's all the same as upgrading to wm6 of 39m.
3.downloading the pack files ,the url: http://www.mediafire.com/?xewlyyaeu3f
Now extract the pack files and copy them to your minisd card

where can we download the SPL 39M?

Has anybody even tried this? Are there any screen shots on the internet? Any verification on it working on a sp3i? What is the second OS, how do you switch between them, how does the second OS limit wm6? I need answers before i kill my only phone attempting to install this. And is English language included in both OS's or am i screwed over? I like the idea but i need information before attempting this due to dangers.
The Chinese site doesn't help, I'm Indian.... can't read that.

I don't see n i don't think there is english language in it and neither i see two OS in it only one windows os its giving u boot to load linux but u have to find out linux os i think !

Ok, if the IPL/SPL is only 2.16 no further 0001 like 2.16.0001,then its a G3 device,but if its 2.16.0001,then its G4.Note the last trailing three 000 and 1 at the last.
The difference Between G3 and G4 is the last trailing three '000's and 1 at the last.

hi! thanks so much for the responses and feedback. this thread is so important for me, a newbie!
i've got a simple question, i hope someone of the users in here can provide me an answer. my IPL/SPL are both 1.01. therefore my device is G3,
the question are as follows:
1. Do I still need to downgrade with Button ROM? bearing the fact my IPL/SPL are already 1.01
2. Do I need to use Lokiwiz 0.2b to unlock my device. It is mentioned that 1.xx IPL/SPL are necessary for the upgrade process. since they are both 1.01, do i still need to do this?
3. Could anyone recommend me the "latest" and most less buggy ROM for me? i am very new to this, i really want to have a successful flash.

Your phone has already got IPL/SPL 1.xx,therefore,there's no need to downgrade with Button's Rom,its essential to have 1.xx for SIM/CID unlocking.
YUP ! as your phone is still SIM/CID locked,so you'll have to use lokiwiz02b to SIM/CID unlock it for onward upgrade to wm6.You can also use WST_4.2.2 tool also to SIM/CID unlock the phone,but remember to have IPL 1.xx.
Just follow the guide posted in my above link to understand it correctly to unlock and upgrade.
Check out the 'Wizard Mobile 6' sub-forum for latest wm6.1 Roms.It all depends upon your own choice.

zadardast thx a lot for your response. i was so excited yesterday, so i couldn't wait to flash it right away. however, with my lack of common sense... i upgraded my device first to the latest ROM available on clubimate.com
now my devise has IPL/SPL of 2.xx, which means i need to follow all the steps
knowledge (and common sense) is power, wish me luck wish the flashing

I downloaded and tried installing Faria's Windows Mobile 6 today, it failed exactly at 99%? Help please! All I then got was the red green blue screen. I am not sure how I managed to restore Windows mobile 5 back on the phone, had to kill some wcescomm.exe process again and again and got lucky I guess!
My cell phone is unlocked and I don't think I need to get anything unlocked, just need help on finding some decent Windows Mobile 6+ tom

I would suggest that before u upgrade ur phone read this thread properly to understand the procedures and risks involved in flashing a ROM http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...me=HTC_Artemis
1. In order to flash a ROM on ur HTC P3300 u 1st need to CID Unlock your device, that way u'll be able to flash a ROM on to ur phone REMEMBER to CID Unlock your device before doing anything otherwise u'll brick your phone. You can get the CID Unlocking software frm here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311403.
2. After you are done wid the 1st step u've now CID Unlocked your device and it is ready for a ROM upgrade. Select and download a ROM of you choice frm here http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index...mis_DumpedRoms (I personally prefer the Black and Blue ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=364883) flash the ROM on to your device and after the reboot u'll have WM6.1 .
3. Last I would recommend tht u also upgrade you Radio ROM (this is responsible for all the communication functions of ur phone i.e. calls, GPS, WiFi etc) which will enhance the communication capabilities. You can find the latest Radio ROMs here http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index..._RadioUpgrades.

No. The USPL does not contain the Rom for P3300

i ran the USPl and I followed the guidelines.
after CID ublocking , it went for ROM Update utility.
i clicked next and processed.
finally i Device get rebooted. but ROM was not get Updated.
still it is in WM6.0
pertaining to point no 2 the rom which is specified by you is it compatible for HTC artemis
I also searched in Artemis _dumped roms.
ididn't understand the Operator . kindly help me about the selection of ROM for my Device.

ok tht shows, tht u have CID Unlocked your phone...and as i mentioned tht u need to select a ROM of ur choice frm the thread i gave u...just click on the thread link in tht page and tht will lead u to the ROM's page, der u'll c screenshots of the ROM and the OS version which wud be either WM6.0 or WM6.1.
Just download the ROM i suggested (Black and Blue v5.0) and download the cube version after downloading it unpack the file and u'll c ROM Uploader/Updater (something like tht) just double-click it and follow the wizard..thts it

yes tht ROM (Black&Blue v5.0) shall be compatible wid ur Atemis

I had a question though - I thought we were talking about Artemis - IOn the screenshots of black & Blue, I saw the processor speed @ 400 MHz - & mine is 200 MHZ ... How much difference will that make ?

Last I would recommend tht u also upgrade you Radio ROM (this is responsible for all the communication functions of ur phone i.e. calls, GPS, WiFi etc) which will enhance the communication capabilities. I CID unlocked my artemis 1 year ago,do i need to do it again ? if i want to upgrade a different ROM? or is ones enough

No you dont need to CID unlock your device again if u have done it earlier...just proceed with the ROM flashing

I believe the Black and Blue ROM is compatible with Artemis, since I flashed the ROM once myself and worked perfectly well. Unless you are looking at Black and Blue ROM for another device carrying a higher processor or maybe the screenshots are from some device other than Artemis and posted there for just a reference!! ...please never try flashing a ROM for devices other than Artemis!!...I hope that helps

Yes you can upgrade you Artemis from WM5.0 to WM6.x, however there are a few things you need to know before flashing. (Prior to flashing your device I strongly suggest that you go through with this thread to understand the complications and other issues that you might face during an upgrade http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Artemis)
1. Before upgrading your device check whether the device is SIM or CID locked or both in some cases. The best way to check whether your phone is SIM locked or not is to insert a different SIM Card (from another operator), if that SIM card works properly means your device is not SIM locked and if the phone doesn't accepts the new SIM Card then probably the phone is SIM locked. 2. Coming to the second issue which is checking if the device is CID locked or not. Well the best way is to take a trip down to your memory lane and see if u have ever flashed a cooked ROM onto your Artemis (since you said that you are using WM5.0 on it, I reckon that your device is probably CID locked) if however you did flash a different ROM then you must have CID unlocked your device. But there is also a way that you can check whether the device is CID unlocked is when you turn on your phone, but it has been a while since I CID unlocked my device so i don't remember that, however here is the link where you can find the CID unlocking software and its procedure. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311403.
3. Lastly just follow the steps I listed in my earlier posts in the forum about how to flash a ROM on Artemis. Here is a really nice ROM that you can flash on your Artemis http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=542428...it's a WM6.5

my phone is sim unlock im sure of that i have used it with many SIM but security unlock im not sure,,on #2 that USPL by pof, do we need to run tru uspl everytime we're going to flash a new cooked rom? or once u flashed the update SPL no need to flash it again

i am using sim unlocked cingular 8125 in india. its working fine its a great phone. but now i want to upgrade this wm5 to wm6 but i am unable to understand which rom is best for me and process and tools are required for this .
i read many thread in this website but they confuse me bec they are not in proper step by setp.

I updated my OS to 6.1 - Final Final Angel a week back. Then I updated the radio rom to 2.71.11 (check my signature for details).
I would strongly recommend you -
1. Use this link to re-flash your OS. Follow it step by step. Do not miss even a single step.

Please remember that you would need to do this small step everytime you want to do some upgrading because this is temporary. For eg. I did it once when upgrading OS and then again when upgrading Radio ROM.

I've been recommended this OS bya lot of Gurus and personally I feel that it runs great given the outdated (read ARM 195MHz CPU) hardware that I have.
