Need Help with Manila 2D Customizer Problem - Touch CDMA General

Hello,
Can someone help me? I installed Manila 2D v2.0 build 19191432.04 onto my HTC Vogue it works great!!! The problem is the Manila 2D customer will not apply any changes made. Are there any Registry tweaks I can do?

M2D Customizer
I'm what you would call a rookie at this but I found that if I selected the "FAVES" tab, for some reason my customizations would not take and M2D would keep rebooting. Try changing one thing at a time. Save it and see if it works. Then change another....rinse and repeat.

Need help with CUBE!

I am currently running a Manilla 2D custom rom and I want to install the cube. I find the cube very useful... I did some research on it but had no luck. The cube cabs that I tried installing did not work. Can anyone with knowledge on thiis issue help?
not a pro but from what ive read m2d is a remake of touch flo 3d which replaces the cube. dont think you're gonna find a cube for it
i think that if you use a rom with the cube already installed, then you could install m2d onto that rom and they will both run. i know in the tutorial for installing m2d, it says to remove the cube, but i have also read where people have had it running.
Use Slither's cube.
I used PPCKitchen to cook a ROM with:-
HTC Home (I use Second Today to access it with weatherpanel)
M2D
Original Sprint Cube
All are stable and I find that using HHC Final lets me customize weather for my town seamlessly for both HTC Home AND M2D
The Kitchen is very easy to use...Don't include any O2 software plug-ins in your ROM or you will end up stuck on the boot screen or white screen.

complete newbie

Hi guys,
I am a complete newbie and I have downloaded a nice Clock which I want to replace on my device. Can you please tell me how to do it?
It has lots of files with "_manila". How can I install it?
Thanks for your help
Welcome to the forums, you just have to copy the manila files to your Windows folder and accept yes when asked to overwrite the files.
hi, am also a newbie, what do the folders with _manila stand for? i just got my diamond, what's the very first thing i should do so that i can modify anything? do i need to download the hotfixes from the htc website? thanks a lot!

The hotfixes are only to fix something that's not working properly on your phone.
In many cases, like my own, they're not needed, so don't worry about them.
If you want to edit your TouchFLO 3D, you can get the Manila Customizer from here (thanks Grumps). For a beginner, like yourself, I'd say that's pretty much all you need, but when you get more experienced and want to change things yourself, you can get the Manila Editor from here (thanks sushilange) or the CFC GUI from here (thanks Chainfire).
But like I said; you probably only need the Manila Customizer for now. It's very easy to "break" your TouchFLO 3D if you don't know what to do or how it works.
The esiest way to change clocks and all that stuff with manila files is manila customizer, u can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437420
i use it on my diamond with TF3D2 and it works just great to install/replace manila files

What ROM are you running? It would be the manila version native to your ROM.

That ROM came stock with manila 2.1, not sure what the build# is though
So my Manila Bruce, probably is the 2.1..
Right?
Yes, it would have to be.
Once again Bruce Inman, thanks.
I have oyher question, and sorry if it's a silly one but I really don't know the solution!
I looked for Manila 2.1 themes, and it was difficult to find some of them, but i found one that it was nice ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=563451 ), i downloaded the "Boost Manila 2.1.zip ", installed the .cab file but and nothing! I mean, it wasn't at the Today opcion in the Settings tab..
I don't know what am I doing wrong, if the file that I downloaded was not the best one, if it's not correct one for my HTC..
Sorry for bad english!
Thanks for the help

First, the file you downloaded was for the Diamond, not the TD2, therefore it is incompatable.
Second, go here to post 5. These are the different versions of the Manila theme. There are many because each new build of Manila tweaks the home layout, so they are always slightly different.
Lastly, remember Max Manila is a Manila theme, not a windows theme, so next you need to find a windows theme if you want to. I use Dusk themes because I like the black bars. Dusk themes are ROM build dependent so look for your build number, if you don't see it, use the newest build available. This is the one that loads to your Today Settings and you must select it to display. There are also Dusk Clocks and Taskbar icons in that thread as well.
If you scoll through the Topaz Themes and Apps threads, you will find more themes and most will have full instructions on how to install.
Good Luck.

I'm scared now, when i started to look for themes, i never thought that could be so dificult!
I'll try!

Max manila does not work for 2017, 2018 & 2019 version. I think it works for 2016 version if I remember correct.
Latest MaxSense can be found here...

Has anyone ever modded Sense/Manila with all the tabs enabled?
I am getting an HTC Leo (1024 Tmo) and I would like to have Sense/Manila with all the tabs enabled.
I did this for manila 2.0 for my QVGA (Tmo Wing) by enabling the tabs in the HTCHome xml and adding the correct images, etc...
But when I was unpackaging the latest Leo image I see that all the manila files are labled "0b1b17c3_manila."
And I don't see an xml file to edit.
I'm a bit confused as to what you're asking. If you're talking about simply cooking in the regedits for enablement/disablement of tabs on boot up, then it's:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"Manila://home.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://internet.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://twitter.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://music.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://settings.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://album.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://SprintNavi.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://inforwidget.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://tv.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://calendar.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://weather.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://peopleCallHistory.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://email.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://messaging.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://programstab.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://people.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://footprints.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://facebook.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
I'm pretty sure you already know that though. Are you looking for Sense tab packages? I feel like you would already know where to get those as well, which brings me back to being confused as to what you're asking.
This thread was started in reference to "Max Manila" as in the preface to "Max Sense" by Maxccy (not sure on the name). You may not get the answers you're looking for here.

Yes. Thank you. That is what I was looking for. To be honest I didn't know about the registry values. I only know what I did use from cooking for QVGA devices.
(I gave you thanks as well )
Can you point me in the right direction (link-wise) to cook Sense into my ROMs?
My ultimate goal would be to have the latest Sense version with all the tabs enabled for my HD2 (1024).

[Q] Manila: editing 22e41977_manila (home layout) to see more calendar entries

Hi All,
I searched a lot but could not find a solution, so here's what I want to do: Manually editing the 22e41977_manila file to remove the RSS reader (allready done this one) and use the newly available space to display the next two calendar entries instead of just one. I know that CHT can do that but CHT slows my device down alot. So I want to edit the homescreen by my self and cook it in the ROM.
A similar question has been asked a while ago here, but with no really helpful answer.
AFAIK CHT also edits the responsible Manila file so some one allready needs to know that Do you guys have any hints?
I am using the latest (2021/2) Manila from OBOE BTW...Thanks alot already!
Hey mate,
I too tried to work on this and asked similar question here.
But with no luck/help yet .
It will be good if we can have this working.
BTW: Default Manila home does display one entry from calender but only if that is NOT FULL Day appointment .
Thanks.
Sounds like your best bet would be to ask in the CHT thread. A lot of the people involved in that project are more than willing explain how certain aspects of the mod are accomplished. They have helped me in out in areas like this. Just a thought
Another Idea that just popped up in my mind: How about using the plain manila we have now, install CHT and modify the home layout according to this. Now backing up the respective manila file(s?) and uninstalling CHT. Afterwards replacing the manila file in the ROM or the kitchen. Could that work? Thoughts?

Manila files used in CHT are very complicated and tightly coupled so we cant use part of those files .
We can try to look into the files (responsible for this task) of CHT and figure that out... but that is not easy .
Thanks.
