Hi
I can't find my manila version.
I know that i have to go, in touch flo 3d navigate to the Settings tab, and scroll down to ABOUT. But the "about" button take me to the Opera Browser: file://localhost/windows/manila_about.html , and there is nothing to know about the version.
Thanks

What ROM are you running? It would be the manila version native to your ROM.

My ROM version is: 2.16.410.1 PTG
Second:
koen-ronse
Start - Settings - System - Device Info - Software Information - Manila Version
Works in every rom
I went there, and I just have in the Device info: Version; Hardware; Identity; Duracion.
I really apreciate the help from you both!
Thanks

That ROM came stock with manila 2.1, not sure what the build# is though
So my Manila Bruce, probably is the 2.1..
Right?
Yes, it would have to be.
Once again Bruce Inman, thanks.
I have oyher question, and sorry if it's a silly one but I really don't know the solution!
I looked for Manila 2.1 themes, and it was difficult to find some of them, but i found one that it was nice ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=563451 ), i downloaded the "Boost Manila 2.1.zip ", installed the .cab file but and nothing! I mean, it wasn't at the Today opcion in the Settings tab..
I don't know what am I doing wrong, if the file that I downloaded was not the best one, if it's not correct one for my HTC..
Sorry for bad english!
Thanks for the help

First, the file you downloaded was for the Diamond, not the TD2, therefore it is incompatable.
Second, go here to post 5. These are the different versions of the Manila theme. There are many because each new build of Manila tweaks the home layout, so they are always slightly different.
Lastly, remember Max Manila is a Manila theme, not a windows theme, so next you need to find a windows theme if you want to. I use Dusk themes because I like the black bars. Dusk themes are ROM build dependent so look for your build number, if you don't see it, use the newest build available. This is the one that loads to your Today Settings and you must select it to display. There are also Dusk Clocks and Taskbar icons in that thread as well.
If you scoll through the Topaz Themes and Apps threads, you will find more themes and most will have full instructions on how to install.
Good Luck.

this is prob really stupid question, but how do i tell if i have manila 3 or not? (for installing themes etc)
Manila 3 has the new finger friendly menus. It helps?
finger friendly? like bigger buttons? anyone got a link to a image of both?
it's a bit confusing, but simple to get a handle on it
if you have a stock HD (no custom ROM) you have Manila v2.
if you flashed a custom ROM that mentioned "new" Manila or Manila 3 or Topaz/Rhodium Manila then you have Manila 3,
basically you'd know if you have v3
both are TouchFLO 3D (not 2D as some may assume)
and a lot of graphics are interchangeable (clocks and tray pictures/icons and many others)
so whats manilla 1? Touch Flo 2D?
Well, why not go into settings tab, scroll down to "About" and...
Voila!
Right under "About" you can see:
TouchFLO 3D 2.0 bla bla bla...

If you haven't already got manila 3, the only way you can get it is to flash to a rom which does have it!
thank you guys for the replies, i have 3.0 now can look for relevent themes.
Psygnosis84 i would say you have v3 also, dont know what the 1.3. number is - maybe the version of manila 3? (but i dont have this code on mine. i went to settings, touchflow, about and that gave me the version number.

Mine says version 3 aswell, but it doesn't mean it is the new manila, like the one that comes with the new diamond. It's the old manila. Unless you've flashed an unofficial rom you won't have the new manila.
oh ok, well i do have a cooked rom, and it uses topaz or rhodium stuff.
so what does the v3 in tf3d settings/about mean if you dont have a flashed rom? (touch flo is manila right?)
I notice there is an update to the Touch HD on the official website. Is this update included in Manilla 3 ROMs?
Where do you download and how to you upgrade to Manilla 3?

Thanks. I found some other threads which explain how to flash to 1.56 and then to another cooked ROM. I think I will try out Dutty's.
My HD has been really slow recently so hopefully doing this will speed things up and fix a few problems I have been having.
Can anyone please explain me how I can find out the manila version of my Touch HD?
I want to "pimp" up my phone a little bit, but every post I see for installing themes etc, there is a line that says "only for OLD manila version" and another one that is saying "do not install on old version of manila, only on new version, but I nowhere can find any versions on my phone.
The only thing found on my phone is radio, etc, but nothing about manila.
So if anyone please can tell me how I can find this out on my phone..

Ok, go to settings tab in TF3D and scroll down to 'About'. It should state something like TouchFLO 3D 2.1.38147.5. I highlighted the version in bold i.e. In my case its manila version 2.1
thx, had seen that, but never thought that could be the manila version.
When I look at the info page I see: TouchFlo version 3.0 (build 32567), so that should mean version 3. Is that the latest (NEW) version of manila?
Thx in adv.
I am trying to make my taskbar/clock etc transparent but have had no success so far. I have a TP2 with winmo 6.5. Does anyone know how I find out what version manilla I have (IDK what manilla is tbh) and what version Touch Flo, also, do I have sense? and if so, what version sense I have?
It sounds noobish I know but I'm really stuck here, thanks for your help.
Manila Version
Settings->System->Device Information->Software Information it should tell you the manila version in there...
is it my rom version? 1.186.161.0 (67102) WWE. if so, which is the important part?
Manila Version
Here is a screen shot.... should say something like manila version 2.1.1920...

did you flash a cooked rom or are you using a stock one?
in the manila homescreen, scroll to settings, scroll down to about phone and click, click software infomation, and theres your manila version.
Mine doesn't show either and it's a Portuguese stock ROM...
OK...I think I've found how to locate the version of Manilla. It's in the registry. So find a registry editor for your phone. I CANNOT stress the importance of NOT CHANGING ANYTHING unless you know what you're doing.
That said, the following registry key contains the Manila Version:
\HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Version
IE mine is 2.1.19213017.1
Hey Guys,
Since Android hasn't finished yet i will not switch over yet, and wait wil switching OS.
instead of that i will use an Theme for the TP2. ( co0kies Home Tab )
i found co0kies home tab theme very great, as i searched for further info i found out that i need Manila 2.5 ( 2.5.1920, 2.5.1921, 2.5.1922, 2.5.2011, 2.5.2012 )
Where can i get this? After many hours of searching i found out that it might already be on the phone, but i dont know what version is on it.
can someone help me with this? Co0kie wrote this to find it out.
To check your Manila version: go to the settings tab in Sense, select "About phone", and then "Software Information".
If you have any problems with this mod please report your full Manila version (e.g. 2.5.xxxxxxxx), the device and ROM you are using.
Where is this tab named "Sence" ?
Can't find it anywhere x'D.
So, do i have Manila ?
If i dont, Where can i get this?
If i do, How can i see what version?
And if i found out what version, What is this tab named "Sence"
Another thing is that if something goes wrong, how can i return to the normal WM 6.5 ( NON - MODDED / THEMED )
Also, Last question.
Do i need to flash my phone for this?
Greetings
If you're still on the stock ROM that came with the phone, then you don't have Sense 2.5
The only way to get sense 2.5 in this case is to flash a rom with it. You should be able to get all the necessary information in the rom development forum
THANKS! i will search for this, very usefull !
Sence is the Bar below right? cause at Settings > More > Today > Items i have "HTC Sence" In the list.. and its checked on..
If i have this "Sence" Where can i get the Manila thing?
I found manila.exe in my File explorer\Windows\manila.exe

"Sense" is the entire pretty little graphical interface that you're playing with...the clock, the tabs on the slider, and everything in those tabs, is all the interface that HTC built to go on top of Windows Mobile. HTC has been calling their shell "manilla" for a long time, Sense is just the latest generation of that. There is no "sense tab", and the exact location of where you can see your sense version varies....which carrier's model of TP2 are you using?
However, it's kind of moot...like ctbear said, if you're still running the stock rom, you're not on 2.5 anyway, most likely 2.1, so you'll still need to flash a ROM if you want to use co0kie's home tab
i live in europe, and my carrier is Hi.nl so i dont really know what model im using..
thanks for the information, could you provide me with a link that has the 2.5 rom? i'm so afraid i will choose the wrong one since there are so many around
thanks for the information again!
Hey guys, flashing a ROM isn't the only way to get 2.5 on the phone. I followed the directions in the "Manila Sense 2.5 cab?" thread (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=661941) after a Task29 and a couple of hard resets using the stock TMOUS 6.5 ROM...I have 2.5 running fine with the CAB from post #4 of that thread. I put CHT and CHT Editor on and all is well. It's way easier to use a Energy ROM, but I was having problems with messaging and connectivity so I went back to the stock ROM. As I said, all is well...going on the 3rd day with the setup and haven't had any hiccups. No tinfoil hat phantom usage issues, either.
YMMV, obviously.

If you got the phone from KPN/HI you will have an unlocked TP2 for which you can get the latest Rom on the HTC website. Manillaversie: 2.5.20121225.0 is Sense 2.5. Original Dutch Rom should be 2.07.404.1 NLD.
If you need any more info let me know. You can also send me a Pb in Dutch if that would be easier for you.

I myself havnt tried it as I DO flash roms. However, Xhero doesn't seem to know much about anything on this phone... nor to use the search feature... nor how to use google and search "The difference between Manilla and sense" Soooooo I wouldn't recommend flashing a phone just yet to him/her.
Xhero... do your reading.. LOTS of it before you start trying to customize your phone. You dont want to screw it up and then have to come back and start a new thread asking how to hard reset your phone... Please please learn how to search the forums too. The best advice that can be given to a new user. If its too difficult to use that search key in the top right of EVERY page on every thread on XDA then in google search what you are looking for and type "XDA" after it..... ie.. "Manilla 2.5 install cab XDA" or something like that and Bingo Bango you'll be brought to the thread!
A little research and common sense goes a long way. Have fun with your phone and remember to post relevant questions in the appropriate threads and you'll likely get your answers super quick!
I have allready guided him to the correct Romupdate from HTC. Yes there are other ways of getting Sense 2.5 but this is now the easiest way for him to obtain it.
In the Netherlands the TP2 is also now being shipped with Sense as I got mine last Saturday with the new Sense on there.

Has anyone ever modded Sense/Manila with all the tabs enabled?
I am getting an HTC Leo (1024 Tmo) and I would like to have Sense/Manila with all the tabs enabled.
I did this for manila 2.0 for my QVGA (Tmo Wing) by enabling the tabs in the HTCHome xml and adding the correct images, etc...
But when I was unpackaging the latest Leo image I see that all the manila files are labled "0b1b17c3_manila."
And I don't see an xml file to edit.
I'm a bit confused as to what you're asking. If you're talking about simply cooking in the regedits for enablement/disablement of tabs on boot up, then it's:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"Manila://home.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://internet.page.hidden"=dword:00000000
"Manila://twitter.page.hidden"=dword:00000000

Yes. Thank you. That is what I was looking for. To be honest I didn't know about the registry values. I only know what I did use from cooking for QVGA devices.

Can you point me in the right direction (link-wise) to cook Sense into my ROMs?
