Hi
I was wondering if anyone knows of any program's and/or methods to right text messages from my computer VIA my HTC TD2 to people. So when i come home i simply plug it into my computer with a USB cable and then write messages from my PC-keyboard.
I did a search but it came up empty, perhaps i was searching with the wrong words.

my moto ming 2100 came with motorola tools which had this has a feature. I was able to sync the phone to the computer and while sitting at my desktop or laptop I am able to get notification of new messages and reply back to them all via my comp's screen. this is a really nice feature which windows should capitalize on seeing as though it is a really nice feature to have. I was also able to review all texts via the screen as well
Hi, and thanks! It's a bit laggy when navigating around. But it seems stable and good enough. If anyone has some other idea's im all open!

Does anybody know either, a way or a program, that will let you an assign an action that will happen on your PC when something happens on your XDA when docked. Examples of this -

I always dock my phone when I'm at home to charge and then miss a stack of calls and SMS because I'm not always near my phone and forget to check it.
I use my PC as a media centre and therefore would like to interupt movies, music ,etc when it rings and also if next time I go to pc it tells me I have a unread sms that would be very useful too.
I've searched and searched for something with this facility but cannot find it.....so even if you don't know of something but think it's good idea then post a reply and maybe a developer browsing these forums my see the interest and take the project on
Its a good idea to have such a program. I've searched the net also, but didn't find any program to do so!!
Try to search the PPC SDK, am sure there are some APIs to do back-communications with the PC.

I run a cricket team and often have to text 20 people plus about matches etc.
I connect my TYTN to my PC with a USB dock using ActiveSync.
Is there any way of typing messages on my PC and sending them via the phone?
Ideally I would also like to see received messages that come in on my phone, if possible.
I have seen this software:

I have been searching for an application to install on my PC so that I can read and write text messages (SMS) on my Diamond when it is connected to the PC. How it should be connected is not really important but preferably by USB if possible.
In other words: A kind of message control center where you can manage your messages when you are at your PC anyways.
Any tips for such a utility?

YUp, I have this kind apps for china phone..MITO / COOLPAD ..it help a lot..so when you facing your laptop, while your diamond attach to it..you can send/received messeges (SMS). It really helps..!!

I can really recommend Jeyo Mobile Extender that integrates with Outlook. You get an extra SMS folder and menu buttons for send/recieve, forward, manage sms on device.

Thanks Blanco, but I don't think that will work for me.
First of all it is not free to use. Only for 15 days. Maybe I should have mentioned that but of course it needs to be freeware
Second of all I would prefer it if it wasn't a plugin for Outlook. I don't use Outlook and don't want to use it, so I really can't use that sort a thing.

Has anyone heard of IPC SUITE for WM?

This program is plainly a port from a chinese program and a fair amount of the screens are still in chinese.
Essentially its an interface that allows you to do pretty much anything on your phone from your computer.
Ie Select and delete SMS's, take screenshots of your screen, backup data, etc.
Im most interested in the SMS feature which allows you to SMS from your computer through your phone. - My typings a lot quicker on the keyboard than on the phone. ;o)
Unfortunately when I try and SMS from my computer it appends +86 to the number, (ie the Chinese international dialing code.) and obviously the SMS gets sent to the wrong number.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?
Any suggestions regarding similar programs that I can take a look at?

I use SOTI pocket Controller. Easy to use. You see the pda on the pc screen and you can do what you want.

Not sure if this is the right place or even how to pose the question since I have very little knowledge of how all this magic happens in my hands... so that acknowledged:
I have Android Notifier sending messages from my Thunderbolt to my Windows 7 laptop, which I love. If I leave my phone in another room I get my texts and other notifications on my laptop. Awesome, beautiful idea.
The problem is now that I have the TF, I don't sit there in front of my laptop anymore to see those notifications. Is there any way to have those call/text notifications pop up in my TF notifications?
In a ridiculously awesome world, there would be some sort of VNC type thing built into Honeycomb so when these notification pop in you could pull up your phone screen on your tablet (or computer for that matter) and control it from there... probably a reason this can't work that is beyond my paygrade, but a guy can dream, right?
Anyway, if anything like this exists or is in the works, I'd like to know about it for sure... thanks.
The only thing I've come across is SyncSms which sync your sms from phone with tablet. Also have a GV on my TF for that. Haven't seen anything for missed calls our other things yet.
