Welcome to LiveAndroid, a LiveCD for Android running on x86 platforms.
Want to give Google Android a try, but don't feel like buying a T-Mobile G1/G2/G3? LiveAndroid lets you download a LiveCD disc image of the Google Android operating system. Just burn the image to a disc, stick it in a CD-ROM drive, and reboot your computer and you can check out Android without installing it or affecting any files on your PC.
You can also use the disc image in a virtualization application like VirtualBox, VMWare or Microsoft Virtual PC if you want to try the operating system without even rebooting your computer.

You need to install Flash Lite 2.1 in order for the UI to work. I'm working on a standalone .exe fairly soon.
In The Works:
-MP3 Player currently being programmed
-Speeding up Interface
-Music link works if HTC Audio Manager is installed. (do a search within these forums. Link coming soon)
-Skins and remade programs to fit TactX theme coming soon..
V1.2
Updated:
-Landscape Now Supported
Instructions:
Install TactX UI Alpha
Install Flash Lite 2.1
Reset and you're done!

If you download and try, please leave input for some changes I should make before I get started on the file browsing, picture viewing, etc interfaces.
mmmk well i get a wonderfull error message when installed then phone restarted.
i guess you need flash support installed as the error says unable to play swf?
how about some instructions?
Sorry 'bout that. In working on this I totally forgot to place instructions on installing. Thanks for the feedback

If there are any bugs with the switching between Portrait and Landscape, please post your findings.
Thanks
Sorry Dude,
Tested on my 8525 running Schwapps Rom,, Runs really slow and choppy... and icons didn't work...
-Good Luck
Works as advertised. The speed of the app is acceptable considering its Flash. I like the concept of the app and think its creative. Switching between portrait and landscape worked fine (although slow). I installed into device memory also. Good work so far cant wait to follow the progress. I'm using a 8525 with schapps 3.60a (fresh install).

Hi Nyl, clearly you are very talented and you are making a tremendous contribuition to the XDA/TG01 community.
Now dont take this the wrong way but would it not be a good idea to pool your findings with the guys having problems getting Android to run on the TG01 as you seem to have overcome the stumbling blocks they have reached?
I know Linux is not the same as Android but in terms of getting radio, 3g working your work may go a long way to helping those guys out??
this build gonna be available for download as official kubuntu release, if i get it working and the other ubuntu version will be canceled as fact that kubuntu mobile is more finger friendly...
hi ^^
if i understand, you dont know username and pass
i found this for ubuntu hd2
user: 'htc-linux'
password: 'ubuntu'
Hope this can help
Nice project!
I forgot to state that this ain't related to HD2 Ubuntu this is a new project from scratch specially made for tg01
the problem is that i don't have any hardware keyboard to create new user and login

I know nothing of android, so sorry if this is useless, but..
I believe that the Kernel from the android project has USB support, so maybe you could connect a USB keyboard to the host cable and connect to the TG01.
I'm only thinking this because I've seen a photo of a device i can't remember running Ubuntu with a USB keyboard
I realise this may be useless if the host drivers are not there but don't know enough to go and find out.
well my problem is that i can't run qemu ARM on my linux/windows OS
h ttp://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Architectures/ARM/HowToQemu
Cant wait till it is ready! I love your ToshDroid ROM
nyl> Are you still continuing with this project?
I subscribe to this!
Great project. I hope you will manage to fix that wifi driver
Too bad that people who ported Android to htc hd2 don't want to share with us the secret of converting the wm wifi driver to a android/linux wifi driver...

Hello everyone,
I'm pleased to present my last software, ShareItApp: its main purpose is to share your applications, with the possibility to link not only the Play Store page, but also XDA thread, and you can easily set this options by long pressing on the first icon. Moreover, you can share your APKs directly - this is NOT meant to be a help for piracy, but for developers who wants to make their apps tested and this will provide a faster way to do it - or even run Android's default windows for App Infos or Uninstall.
Known issues:
On some devices, uninstall broadcast intent is thrown lately, and this will cause you having to refresh the applications list
Please, refer to this topic to submit bugs or requests. Changelog will be on the next post or on Official Wiki on Bitbucket, where you can find issue tracker and sources.
Download this software from Google Play Store
Thanks to my friends Takhion and R1si for helping me during development and testing.

Goals
Make it look however you want!
It's your device, make it look however you want. With themes from the theme store, and make a theme in under an hour with DIY themes.
Backwords Support
You can run apps made for Android 2.3 on a device running Android 10, but it will not be made for it, that's where backwords support comes in, backwords support makes sure the app feels like it's running on a supported device. (Notice: for copyright reasons, the phone models will not be included in the system.)
Clean and Modern
Clean, Clean, and Modern. Modren Modern Modern.
More modern and cleaner than iOS can ever be.
RCS Support
You are a green bubble boy because you're an android user, Will not anymore, RCS Support will be supported in the Augustdroid Messages Apps. No matter if you're texting an iPhone user, a One UI user, a Pixel User, or another Augustdroid user, everyone will be a blue bubble.
Like iOS, the bubble will be blue if you're texting an RCS Person, and it will be green if you're texting an SMS Person.
Note: iOS doesn't have RCS support yet, Android Chat has not been realized yet.
Thank you!
If I have more ideas, they will be placed here, don't worry, I will have a new idea before the development start.

Hi,
I was using Android Auto with my gts4lvwifi for years , I have replaced the old soundunit of my car by the tab. I've made a custom dashboard in carbon/epoxy for it and a lot of cable modifications (working w/ the steering wheel buttons!)

Since weeks, Android Auto isn't available for mobiles/tabs screens, I've tried the Reloaded tool but it's laggy and using old design. It need to enable the Android Auto server on phone, enable AP, connect to AP with the tab and open the reloaded app and use the wifi button to open Android auto. A lot of manipulation.
I'm looking for an alternative (always on gts4lvwifi). There's Android Automotive and Tomtom IndiGO.
About Android Automotive (SnappAutomotive)
Android Automotive need sources (it's okey) but had to build myself on a LineageOS 18.1. The Snappautomotive source is only for gts4lv (LTE) but theres a WIP fork for gts4lvwifi by pheizaut
My work computer is W10 with 16gb ram but only 250gb SSD and 1mbps DSL connection (locked by domain controller). Can't build without getting error due to long time download and long time building (20+ hours for one build).
By time, I have contacted pheizaut who confirm not working on it anymore.

About TomTom IndiGO - URL
Alternative for Android Automotive but the repo to download the -ota.zip (already builded) is locked by account. We need developper account at TomTom to get it. I have requested 3 times the creation of the account to TomTom (3 weeks ago) and nothing. No sources available.

Did someone have a solution to get [ Android Auto / SnappAutomotive / Android Automotive / Tomtom IndiGO ] Working on Tab S5E gts4lvwifi ?
Thanks
