Hi,
I was using Android Auto with my gts4lvwifi for years , I have replaced the old soundunit of my car by the tab. I've made a custom dashboard in carbon/epoxy for it and a lot of cable modifications (working w/ the steering wheel buttons!)

Since weeks, Android Auto isn't available for mobiles/tabs screens, I've tried the Reloaded tool but it's laggy and using old design. It need to enable the Android Auto server on phone, enable AP, connect to AP with the tab and open the reloaded app and use the wifi button to open Android auto. A lot of manipulation.
I'm looking for an alternative (always on gts4lvwifi). There's Android Automotive and Tomtom IndiGO.
About Android Automotive (SnappAutomotive)
Android Automotive need sources (it's okey) but had to build myself on a LineageOS 18.1. The Snappautomotive source is only for gts4lv (LTE) but theres a WIP fork for gts4lvwifi by pheizaut
My work computer is W10 with 16gb ram but only 250gb SSD and 1mbps DSL connection (locked by domain controller). Can't build without getting error due to long time download and long time building (20+ hours for one build).
By time, I have contacted pheizaut who confirm not working on it anymore.

About TomTom IndiGO - URL
Alternative for Android Automotive but the repo to download the -ota.zip (already builded) is locked by account. We need developper account at TomTom to get it. I have requested 3 times the creation of the account to TomTom (3 weeks ago) and nothing. No sources available.

Did someone have a solution to get [ Android Auto / SnappAutomotive / Android Automotive / Tomtom IndiGO ] Working on Tab S5E gts4lvwifi ?
Thanks

Here will be released the upcoming "Serenity-ROM", the counterpart to the "firefly"-ROM by me...
Currently the planning period for this ROM is in progress...
I think, it will become a "Low-Ressource" firmware, that will be quie fast...
But you can post any suggestions for this firmware here...
Can you Try following things in your new rom(for 8530) :
1. Please try to make rom fast so that we can play heavy games without lag and unlocking of phone without lag .
2. If possible,try to fix or remove memory leakage issue:silly:
3. if possible,add some kind of sound effect like vodoo or extreme grove in ROM
4. Make hidden bada storage visible via USB.
5. If possible,make GPS fix fast.:silly:
few more things still to come...
Thanks...
Regards,
WaveGuru
1. If it is possible to reduce the lag ... for example when I play Asphalt 6 all widgets are closed.
2. If it is possible to add a Facebook app that lets you know in real time when you receive a message, a LIKE or someone has written on the wall ... etc ... just like on Android.
3. If it is possible to add a GPS application that works and that you know when to turn right or left and when to go ahead ... I hope I did understand, because the already preinstalled, Samsung LBS, must be activated, to look your way from one point to another and to guide you on that road.
Waiting for your rom :good:
1. I think, nearly all widgets will be removed...
2. I'll only work with Java version of FB...
3. It is not planned to include navigation in this rom...
You have it in the "firefly" ROM with Route66... But, you need a license...
First impressions...
Welll....
Work is going on...
THX in advance to hero355, who gave me permission to use his Turko-CFW V8 as donor-FW...
But, this ROM will NOT become a copy of this one...
It'll only include some features, that you can also find in hero355's CFW ...
Stay curious...!
Taxidriver05...do you have a ETA for this ROM? I'm waiting for it like a baby waits for his chocolate
Currently NOT...
Need a little bit time for creating the ROM...
Currently less time for doing some firmware projects...
Hey friends,
this thread is a friendly reminder how to activate 'multiple windows' on your Elephone P9000.
Most of you know how to achieve it, but there are still some guys out there who are clueless.
No credits to me ))
As always: Not my fault if you delete or add the wrong ones, be careful(!)
First of all:
1. You Need to have root http://bbs.elephone.hk/thread-9919-1-1.html
2. Now you download as example 'Root explorer' https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedsoftware.rootexplorer&hl=de (links of cracks wont be supported)
3 .Now navigate to "System"

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
4. Click on build.prop and open it with your favorite text Editor (included one is more than enough)
5. Now add this to your last line; persist.sys.debug.multi_window=true
6. Afterwards save it, restart your phone and voila )))
thanks for sharing
Works perfect, thank you

Glad it worked )
is it really usefull ??
just to know before
Its also enabled in Eragon 2.8 ROM, afaik its not possible to root Stock 31052016 with the known method, so no chance to use that tutorial at the moment.
I tested the feature and its funny to play around with, but i do not think i will use it very often: Even on the "big" P9000 5,5 inch screen the splitted apps are very small and hard to use.
Great, is working for me. Comes in handy sometimes
Sent from my P9000 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Haven't rooted yet. I really miss multi-window from my S4, YouTube video running at the bottom and reddit at the top for me to read through. The UI on this split screen looks worse though, no divider, no focus (it seems).
Hi to all dev's,
We are a lot who have bought a "Umidigi Plus E". It's a correct phone, but we are facing to a bluetooth issue (unstable). We told the problem a lot of time to Umidigi, but we don't have any update which fix the bluetooth since his release ! Just minor updates. They really don't care about us :-/
There is a dev wo can help us ?
Here's the problem/symptoms :
In a car (for example), we can pair our phone easely. But one or two days later, the phone can't pair again to the bluetooth headset OR the voice don't come from the bluetooth system.
When "connected", we cannot tick "Phone audio" :
{

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But there is a temporarly fix. Here's (works only during 2-3 days ...) :
1) Parameter
2) Application
3) Tap on the three dots (right and top the screen)
4) "Show system process" (thing like this)
5) Tap on "Bluetooth share" or "Bluetooth Shared"
6) Tap on "storage"
7) Delete data & clear cache

We don't know how to stabilize the bluetooth. We don't have any dev
Someone can help us ?
Here is a link to get the rom of our phone : http://community.umidigi.com/forum-128-1.html
Here is a link to our phone specs : http://www.umidigi.com/page-umi_pluse_specification.html
... and seriously ... don't buy Umidigi. They don't care about us !
Thanks in advance to the guy/girl/team who will help us
I'm having the same problem with the F1
Don't suppose you've managed to find a fix, without having a modified ROM?
Same problem
I too am having this problem on the F1. I've tried everything I can think of, but no luck. I may have to just return the phone. It sounds like a problem on all Umidigi phones.
Stable ROM for UMI Plus E 64 GB
Hi everyone.
I was wondering if you can let me know of any stable custom ROMs for UMI Plus E.
Thanks in advance
Hello everyone.
Has anyone been able to find a fully stable custom ROM on UMI Plus?
SMS not working properly on 4G or WiFi calling on T-Mobile or Verizon. Intermittent send/receive reliability. Delay in receive between 15 min to 2 hours, then receive several text messages simultaneously. Found some stuff about intermittent SMS functionality on OOS most recent version, but all the errors came down to Google Carrier Services v50. Please point me in the right direction. Thank you so much for developing such an awesome ROM!

Gapps version: microG services core v 0.2.18.204714
Did you--
wipe: factory wipe after clean install from brand new stock, no issues with install (kudos on install guide - very easy from https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/instantnoodlep)
Are you using--
a task killer: no
a non-stock kernel: no
other modifications: no (except microG)
I also have this issue. It's mostly the same setup as you. Though I'm on One Plus 7 Pro Guacamole. And I only have T-Mobile. Otherwise everything sounds more or less the same. Did you every find a solution? My temp mitagation steps (until I find a solution) include; Turning off the wifi and only using the cell carrier. Kill any currently "Sending" messages in the SMS app. "Force stop" the running process of the SMS app under the "Apps & notifications" in settings. Then try sending it again. It works 9 times out of 10. If I can't get it to work. Then a full reboot usually does it. But I'd really like to find a fix for it. This issue has persisted from Lineage 17 to 18. Everything afaik is up to date.
Hi,
I installed the August 15th 2022 firmware from the Joying website here on my JY-HQ144N4G going to the respective section:
UIS7862 software update
"Here is the firmware for 9 inch 1280*720 model without MIPI screen (As below example)"
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pfiMfLch2YODe7zR-7ZYnc7MlithCt6P/view
The Android version says 12, but as you can see from the photo, Carlink did not update.
My primary reason to update the firmware was to get Carlink 2.0 so that I could get Android Auto Wireless.
Something seems off, because it looks like the "core" files aren't getting updated, only the Android version got upgraded (not sure if the number got bumped or the actual Android OS got updated)
Appreciate any guidance on how to ensure a "full" upgrade occurs OR get access to Carlink 2.0
I've attached a photo of my JY-TQ125N4G on the Toyota Highlander which DOES have Carlink 2.0. Any tips of how to copy the files over works too!

I'll reply back to my own question with a SOLVED response in case someone else faces this same issue.
I emailed Joying support and what they told me was to install the Android 10.0 2022-08-15 update and then apply the Android 12 2022-08-21 update.
Doing so resolved my issue and what I learnt was that they tend to issue a "Full update" vs. a "Delta update".
A "Full update" means that a big chunk of the core Joying files get updated while a "Delta update" can be a small patch update or update to Android files etc. These are not official terms, but the way I figured out what was going on.
As shown in the screenshot, a "Full update" is denoted by the "AllAppUpdate.bin" file present in the 2022-08-15 Android 10 firmware zip file vs. a "Delta update" does not contain the "AppAppUpdate.bin" file in the 2022-08-21 Android 12 firmware zip file.
Hope this helps others. I will probably run into this issue and forget this nuance in a year or two, so I'm posting to help my future self too
