Desktop Pass-through/internet via USB doesn't work?

Solution for error " The page you are looking for cannot be found due to unknown error 0x80072f78 "
If you are using ActiveSync 4.2 and have a problem with Desktop Pass-through it may be caused by a Layered Service Provider (LSP) that use the Windows TCP/IP stack. This has been known to occur with ISA Server. The registry file LSPValue.reg will reverse this setting. Microsoft and the Pocket PC OEM does not support users that edit the registry.

I copied the file to my device and added it, soft reset, but internet via usb doesn't work. Please help me?

Found the answer to my problem
The solution is to download this:
http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/faqs/activesync/LSPvalue.reg
Right click save target as...
Then run it on the PC (not the PDA)
And internet will function via USB.

Although somebody at pocketpcfaq.com was the original source of the fix (thanks, whoever you are!), I also want to say "thanks" to nicosomers, because the post here is the one that I found, and the one that solved my exact same problem. Adding the AllowLSP=0 key to my registry (and rebooting, of course) was all that I needed to allow me to use activesync pass-through to access the internet on my windows mobile 5.0 "not so smartphone". So thanks!

I HAD INSTALL Liberate SnapVue AFTERWARDS I CAN'T START THE SYSTEM.AFTER START THE SYSTEM WINDOWS MOBIL PICTURE WILL COME AND HANGING POSITION.KINDLY GIVE A SOLUTION TO THE OLD LEVEL.I HAD ATTACHED MY PICTURE FOR THAT SAME PROBLEM.

You can register your Shift in the HTC e-Club, then you can download there a tool, which can hardreset your SnapVUE.

hi...thank you for the fast reply.i had install the same program but the same problem is existing.i can't reset.

i had install the snapvue software afterwards only the problem started.
After install the program windows cannot start.only the windows mobile picture will come and hanging position.please give me a solution to troubleshoot the problem.

Command "task 28" in bootloader mode will hard reset it.
Search for ECshift or HSECT2 to put it in bootloader mode.

still not working
my htc shift can't be bootloaded into bootloader i followed the instructions,but still can not bootloader.
can you please advice me how to put my HTC SHIFT in bootloader phase,so i can enter the command 'task 28"???

This has nothing to do with the shift. The user just tryed to install 96 dpi fonts on a non english system. This is a known to lock the device since the first days. If you are afraid of reading problems, just stop reading forums, cause it's bad for your health.

(Please help) Connect Tab 10 to PC

Since Yesterday trying to connect my Tab to laptop but Kies & Odain unable to recognize my Tab... tried the following:
Uninstalling and re-installing drivers .
Uninstalling and re-installingWipe data and cash.
Changed the laptop.
USB Debugg already not selected
but nothing worked out ! im running stock and not rooted rom
what else can i do ?!

might be worth going to settings > storage and touching the 3 little squares in the top right of the screen. check that MTP is turned on.

sorry, the instructions i gave were for a nore recent version of android i think.
try checking your usb settings. select the option you want to use (Kies, Media Player, Mass Storage, Ask on Connection).

I have tried everything and gave up.. will send it to the service center (My mobile already there to repair) ... i will never buy Samsung products

Can't install/update apps from play store

So i rooted my 5 for the first time today and it all worked good. ( I used Magisk 23.0 and twrp-3.4.0-10-cheeseburger-dumpling-mauronofrio )
Now that I try to install apps or update them I get an error notification which says that it cant be downloaded and I should insert and sd card or usb storage with sufficent storage.
Some very small apps seem to be downloadable like terminal emulator.
So I tried lots of things to fix this but non worked or some step in the fix doesn't work for example tried this this and it seems to not work since some commands dont seem to work, but one command said that cache is read only which that fix is supposed to make read and write. I also tried this where i used the app and the first fix doesn't work but the second says it does but it doesn't work anyways, also the manual one fix 1 says there is no folder and fix2 seems to work but it has no output or doesn't help.
I also notice if i turn on file transfer when connected to pc and i try to check files on the phone nothing gets shown or am able to put something in it.

Omg guys new day, new beginnings and i found a fix for my problem.
Go into recovery tap advanced > tap fix contexts > reboot.
Jeez such an easy fix and I was searching for hours yesterday.

Lol, didn't PCs teach you anything?
As stable as Androids are it's easy to forget to reboot... but Gookill apks are the worst.

Can charge over USB but not able to connect to transfer files or via ADB even in recovery?

Hi, I have a rooted X Compact that's running on Lineage OS with twrp recovery. Can anyone give me any tips on how to debug this if there's any solution? I noticed I no longer can connect via USB. I'm on Linux and I don't see the device on lsusb or adb devices. I don't have access to a windows device at the moment . Even when I go to recovery and try to mount is there it's not working or showing up. Any ideas how to debug this or what could be going on? Thanks.

I've got a same problem with my X Compact. I think it's the charge port. I'm replacing it next week and will let you know if it solves the issue.
