If you are using ActiveSync 4.2 and have a problem with Desktop Pass-through it may be caused by a Layered Service Provider (LSP) that use the Windows TCP/IP stack. This has been known to occur with ISA Server. The registry file LSPValue.reg will reverse this setting. Microsoft and the Pocket PC OEM does not support users that edit the registry.

I copied the file to my device and added it, soft reset, but internet via usb doesn't work. Please help me?

Found the answer to my problem
The solution is to download this:
http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/faqs/activesync/LSPvalue.reg
Right click save target as...
Then run it on the PC (not the PDA)
And internet will function via USB.
Although somebody at pocketpcfaq.com was the original source of the fix (thanks, whoever you are!), I also want to say "thanks" to nicosomers, because the post here is the one that I found, and the one that solved my exact same problem. Adding the AllowLSP=0 key to my registry (and rebooting, of course) was all that I needed to allow me to use activesync pass-through to access the internet on my windows mobile 5.0 "not so smartphone". So thanks!

i just get OBEX FIle transfer and nothing else
ive hunted through the XTNDConnect settings and it says it provides them services but it doenst seem to be working.
Can anybody provide any tips.
Im currenty working on XP SP1 but will be working with 2k eventually
the xda is running the latest upgrade from o2
i want to be able to browse all of my computer network and connect to the internet via gateway..so basically just add my pocketpc as another machine on the network if thats possible

Ive tried installing widcomm software on the 2000 pc and it wont work,
ive updated widcome on the xda to 1.5.0 still says it cannot find any services
ive got some connections in network places but if i try to set em to "connect" they dont work, however whist it is trying to connect i can add Lan access using PPP on my xda.. not that it actually does anything.

The only slight problem I've found is that when I select the search option, I can't turn off the bluetooth unless I select start, then stop. Can the search be set to stop searching after a certain amount of time?

i'm having an odd problem.
I am unable to do many things 1) sync with ActiveSync .
I can explore and transfer files to and from the device, but only as a guest, i cannot truly sync.
2) remove programs - the list is empty and i cannot remove anything 3) nothing new will install.
When i send a cab over, and i try to install it, it will tell me that the installation was unsuccessful.
I have rebooted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled ActiveSync , soft-resetted
but fails
Nothing seems to work.
The pda is usable right now, from what i can tell.
The programs that are already on there work fine.
Its syncing that is all messed up.

What OS do you have on your PC? Have you ever been able to sync? Have you done a soft reset on the PPC?
i have xp pro sp2

how 'bout firewall check?
Since it did work it is unlikely your firewall, but that is still worth a check. You might also check to make sure you have DHCP enabled.
That said, since installs fail on the PPC I am thinking your issue is PPC related, not PC related.
Have you done a soft reset (and PC reboot)?
Have you installed any new program to the PPC just before the problem began?
May be easiest to backup and then do a hard reset

The 1'st picture shows the Active Sync menu, its quite empty
The 2'nd picture shows the box's that are checked. Hope its the right way.
The 3'rd picture, appears when i press Connect on the 2'nd picture.
In the 4'th picture .. we have the searching menu, and it ends with picture number 5.
Now, when i reinstall and install again the Active Sync to my Computer, it appeared the following msg, on picture number 6.
So .. i checked in the Device Manager, and found out that a Yellow Warning Sign was present
I really would appreciate some help, because I'm a n00b in these area. Thx in advance.
P.S. The Computer has no problem with the Micro SD card.

I had the same issue, bur plugging to different USB port (on PC) solved the issue. Try that and keep us posted.

I have a problem with my android radio - 8227L. I have found for now a movie on youtube because I don't have access to my car at the moment. I will upload video of photos later. I have put code 9191 in settings because I though it will do a hard reset and now I have everything in Chinese language.. Anyone knows what to do now ?
Hi, same problem After 9191 code inserted.My radio Alps8227l_demo even if I change language setting to Italian no result the language remain in Chinese.....even if Google try to check new language online no Hope to have a change.No activation code ore message requested at startup only a popup for wifi or 3G/4G activation.Somebody talks about a file license.dat to put somewhere....Maybe a firmware update can solve the problem?
I have resolved the problem of chinese message for activation and language with this file.I formatted a USB key in Fat32 and placed this file in the root of USB key, than i insert the usb device with radio off and than start car with usb inserted with a wifi connection to internet the radio activated itself and after a reboot no message and i can set my language again.
I used this file, but it said thats an invalid file .. how could tou find that?
