ROMS with Rogers time zone fix? - myTouch 3G, Magic General

Hi, I know that HTC released an update that would fix the time zone offset of SMS messages received.
Just wondering which (if any) xda ROMS have incorperated this fix?
I'm using MyHero and it does not...

sms trouble after installing manilla

HI
love this site you guys rock. I just installed the Touch HD Manila (TF3D) on my x1 and it works great. I am having problems only when i receive text messages. The time index is 5 hour behind the actual time. My phone clock displays the right time also i have no problem when i send text messages. Only when i receive them it displays the time incorrectly.
i have to set my time zone to london +5 to fix this problem, weird. anyway can do it without setting my time zone to london? im in eastern canada by the way.
Hey. I am using an X1A on Fido here in Toronto and I have the same issue. All my received SMS are 5 hours behind. My X1A is stock - no changes to the ROM and I have yet to install any software (CAB files) onto the device. I also always have the Roaming icon showing on the top status bar of the device. Besides these two issues everything seems to work fine. Curious if you happened to find the cause of the problem and a solution that doesnt involve setting my location to somewhere in Europe.
Here's a fix: It's a common problem and it has to do with the provider, ATT/Rogers. Just apply the registry fix.

SMS thread starts at the top not most recent after update

I've been having a problem with the HTC messages app. Whenever I choose a thread of messages from one of my contacts it starts at the top and I have to scroll down to the bottom to read the newest messages.
I haven't had this problem until I received an update the other day to fix a few bugs. Not sure if it was from HTC or Vodafone. But, ever since this update the problem has been there.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Lots of users have the same problem. For now use Handcent SMS (available free in the market) till HTC fixes the problem.

Same problem here. I think this is a bug in the latest update. I hope HTC has been informed of this and they are working to fix this in the next FROYO update.

[Q] Desire Z Timestamp Issues

Sorry about the question, I'm pretty new to all this and I tried looking for other threads in regards to this but I never really found anything. I just bought a Bell Desire Z and unlocked it to work on the Rogers network but I seem to be having trouble with SMS time stamp times... I know that this issue is somewhat common with android phones but I was wondering if anyone had an answer or fix for it. Was there an app? or some sort of tweak you could suggest? Thanks!!!
Look up an app called SMS Time Fix. I have the same issue on Rogers (as far as I'm aware, it is due to the way Rogers' timestamps are handled, the phone isn't a problem).
Thanks I just tried it on my Desire HD and it worked. I'm using Fido.
I had the same problem, i installed the Fix SMS app and it fixed it. However, with that app installed at times i would get a notification that a new sms is recieved but the message will not be there and so it deletes new recieved sms at times. Anyone else also have this problem?

[Q] Incorrect sms timestamp with desire build on HD2

Does anyone having solution to fix incoming sms timestamp for HD2 desire build? i know a lot of people resolve it by "sms fix" from market but my incoming sms problem is 12mins ahead different from my sending timestamp. e.g. i sent a sms at 9:00pm to myself but i received it with the time stated 9:12pm. this only happen to any desire build.

time stamp issue with SMS (bell atrix on fido)

I am using the Bell Atrix on Fido and timestamps show correctly on sent sms, however when i receive a msg, it is 4 hours behind. I know other android phones used to have this issue (evo 4g, etc) but I dont think anybody ever mentioned it for the Atrix. Similar issue anyone? if it is just me, then i can still exchange it.
Thanks
A friend of mine had this exact same issue with a Bell Vibrant on the Rogers network. He ignored the issue and used a different SMS app, Handcent or something, and the problem never showed up again.

There is an issue with Fido/Rogers (on non-Fido/Rogers branded phones) that shows this issue. Using a different SMS app will not fix the issue as this seems to be an issue with the Fido/Rogers network offsetting the time incorrectly - the Fido/Rogers branded phones have a fix built in.
To fix this on your Atrix, you need to install the app called SMS Time Fix. You can set the offset and it'll fix the timestamps for you.

btw you will find that using the offset does not work as well as setting incoming messages by the time determined by the phone.
trust me, after using it for 3 different handsets, this is the best way to do it.
I fixed it by changing my time zone and setting my own clock rather than using network time.

Wouldn't you get an incorrect time stamp in certain cases? i.e. This would set the timestamp of the SMS to the time received by your phone and not the network?
If your phone was turned off and someone sent you a SMS, when you turned the phone back on you would get the SMS timestamp to be the time you turned the phone one and not the actual time of receipt by the network.
I know my example is an edge case, but I'd rather use SMS Time Fix and get the real timestamp rather than the timestamp set by the phone.

Yup that is what I did was playing around with the app until I got the right time on the sent message.

I had the same issue from the day i picked it up on launch day (unclocked on Fido). I used the SMS fix app off the market and works fine. But sometimes i accidentally close the app using app killer.
Ill try the clock fix mentioned above (custom clock vs network time).

Which app are you using? Is there any options in the stock messaging program that let you offset the time stamp or do you need to use an outside app to do it?
