OpenGL ES
Hi
Does this version of .NET CF support OpenGL ES? I installed .NET CF V3.7 that was previously posted on the forum but it did not support OpenGL ES? I've got to be able to show off to my friends with Diamond Hologram!
Cheers

Hi At0mAng
No, this version of .NET CF does not support OpenGL ES. Back to 3.5 I go. I think MS removed this functionality for some reason.
Thanks

Attached: IBM J9 Java (weme-wm50-arm-midp20_6.1.0.20060727-102926)
Packed as CAB (no need to copy files manually), with *.jad and *.jar associations.
Files:
install.pdf from IBM - how to install (not needed), how to use.
J9_full 6.1.0.20060727-102926.CAB - full installation - Java Virtual Machine, Midlet manager, Midlet runner, libraries. Size after install - 3.4Mb
J9_tiny 6.1.0.20060727-102926.CAB - simplified installation. Without Java Virtual Machine (probably you don't need), without debugging support (probably you don't need), without eastern languages support (sorry, they are too big for me). Only Midlet manager, Midlet runner, libraries. Installs automatically into main storage. Size after install - 2.3Mb
thanks for this. I had the WM2003 version and was annoying not being able to use the soft buttons in the Midlet Manager
ibm-weme-wm50-sp-arm-midp20-6.1.0
Is there any chance someone could also post the smartphone installer?
thanks man... that help me.
Just an FYI. I still can not see JPEG sattelite imagery in google maps. the wm2003 version let me but not this version or the built in intent java.
is there a chance that this version support internet over proxy settings. lixe vor o2 wap flat. i can´t find find reg settings like for the built in midletmanager on my hermes.

Did you install the full version?
I tried the tiny version first, then the full version and it didn't make a difference
Can you redo the cab so when we install it, we have choice to where we want to install it? I want ot install it into my storage card. Thanks!
Also, anyone having problems getting the shortcut parameters "-xjam:run=1" to work? I had it working w/ the older version of the Java. This automatically runs the first program in the menu, which makes it more convenient than having to manually choose it.
Thank-you
Yes thank-you that helped me too.
Hi
Sorry for my supid question but : what is the difference with this one and the midlet manager already installed on HTC devices ? Is it a version for developpers ?
Cheers.
Sorry. I was off line.

Probably - you will not see any differences. Me too
In my opinion: IBM Java for Linux is the best of the best. I believe that IBM knows everything about Java. I believe, that J9 is the best of the best too
But probably midlets are not too complicated to see any differences between Java Virtual Machines

J9 gave me nothing compared with Intent.
In fact, I find it panifully slow compared to the former one. For example, it takes almost 25 seconds for MGMaps to load a screen with J9, 8 to 10 seconds for Intent...

No 3D support at all. And, for that matter, no for example Nokia support either.

Read my review at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=288119 (and make sure you follow the General forum / use the forum search engine if you need to look for reviews )
i have a question about the full version:
can i install it onto my storage card?
Hello everybody!
Yesterday I found this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1059865&postcount=1 , Change all 3 splash screens (new tut and scripts included) )
Because of the steps to take I decided to create a small tool to make this a little bit easier. It's a wizard (for a wizard ) which enables you to change 1,2 or all 3 the splashscreens.
I haven't tested it yet on my wizard. This because I don't have the tools and cables here to connect my wizard. (yet)
Attached are some screenshots and the application itself. Just extract and run the 'SplashScreen.exe'.
Systemrequirements:
.NET 2.0 Framework
MSVC 8.0 runtimes ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=enhttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en )

You need the .NET 2.0 framework. (sorry forgot to mention)
And further you need: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1059865&postcount=1)
In order for this to work you need the MSVC 8.0 runtimes:

where can i download the latest version of .Net Compact Framework?
can anyone help me?
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...49-3c6b-42f1-9fd9-0041345b3385&DisplayLang=en
it doesnt work, i get a message that there is no application for it. first start the application. which application ??
The instructions are on the download page. Basically, establish an ActiveSync connection, and run the MSI (NETCFSetupv35.msi). The framework will then get installed on your device.

In the Diamond forum there's a rom called "Dutty 3.3" that comes with this version of Opera.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=411707&goto=newpost
They made a .CAB file with the QVGA version and published a *limited* Rapidshare link, so nobody will be able to download it anymore. We are requesting a NEW download link to distribute it right.
The original thread is this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=450141&goto=newpost
Please, encourage the cooker to release this build so we can enjoy it! We're in XDA-Developers to share, not to protect. Since not everybody has a HTC Diamond, not everybody could flash that ROM with the new Opera build.
where is the vga at lol
From laser21 in Dutty's 3.3 for Diamond thread is http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WD51VD4W, which does not install on anything other than Dutty ROMs.
However, sadthai created a great cab that installs on any ROM (even if you have to edit the settings to turn off Mobile View...):

I don't know why, but I can confirm that when I tried to install it, a messange popped up saying:
"Setup failed"
"Unable to install Opera Mobile 9.5. The device does not have a valid ROM version".
Is this binded in any way to that ROM??

Thanks a lot! I'm installing it at the moment.
A error message has appeared, but I think it's because OperaL.exe is running. I will kill it using some process manager and retry.

this is qvga version
try this VGA version:
http://rapidshare.com/files/167802493/WM6_PPC_HTC_Opera9_WWE_2808.CAB
I haven't install the cab, just copy the 4 new files to \windows, and it works like a charm
Does anyone know if this is in line with the 1957 version or the 23xx version???
Does anyone have the two opera files to upgrade for QVGA?
The reason why I ask what version. Is because I have tried to upgrade 1957 with 23xx versions and they just freeze. So there is obviously two separate builds.
BTW, I have the 2520 for 1957 already. Thanks
is there a wvga version?
