Push Email without Exchange?

I want to use my 8125 with my IMAP account for push email. The way I see it should be pretty simple to make a program that looks for a SMS message (which I would set my email server to forward) that would then trigger pocket Outlook to check my IMAP account.
Does anyone know of a program that would do this or know how hard it would be to program it? I would be willing to pay (a small fee) for the right application.
Looks like I should have searched a bit harder before I posted - http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/index.php?action=expand,47016
Ill try it out and post my findings here.
I can't seem to get that to work on my device. Does anyone else have any ideas?
Hi, I have been using the app at www.vgsmail.com/ppc and it works great for me
fowen did you find something similar to this for the wm2003se system.
I also noticed that this only works with wm5.0 but my device is 2003se and all i have is a pop3 email client.
If you have a POP3, IMAP4 or hotmail plus account you can use Pocket X-Press for email push capability.
You can find informations here: www.pocketxpress.com
It is for WM2003 und WM5 devices with integrated GPRS/UMTS modem.

Multiple Direct Push Accounts

This one is for all the gurus here.
Austin recently granted me access to his very famous port88.org direct push email service.
I was wondering if it was possible to have multiple Direct Push Email accounts.
Active Sync seems to have room for only one Exchange server. What if I have 2 exchange servers to get email from?
Another problem is while replying back to emails from multiple accounts that all get forwarded to one email address just like port88.org.... how do you manage to have multiple email aliases to make it appear like the email came from the respective email address?
Hmmm... doesn't look like there is an answer to this one. I've been looking around for something relating to the problem above, but I can't seem to find anything.
Please, if anybody here knows anything about this, any help would be highly appreciated.
TIA
i dont know the answer, but would be interested in the answer to that

Mail through TSL

Hello, Does anybody knows if it is possible somehow to setup mail account in pocket outlook to connect through TSL? Or do I need to use some other application? If yes, which do you recommend? Thanks.

Messaging App Launches By Itself Randomly

WM 6.5, HTC Imagio on Verizon
Recently, my HTC Imagio has started to launch the Messaging (Pocket Outlook) app randomly and without any input from me at all. Yes, I have an Exchange ActiveSync account as well as Hotmail Push setup but, again, this strange behavior only started a week or two ago and I have had Exchange ActiveSync setup for months. I have made it a point to make sure that Messaging/Pocket Outlook is completely closed down when I am through with it, but Messaging/Pocket Outlook continues to launch itself fully, without any input from me whatsoever.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I just started getting this when I added my yahoo account, never happened while using it to sync with my exchange server. so I am thinking it has something to do with adding a pop 3 account.
Probs with Yahoo! Too
I have had unrelated problems with Yahoo! mail on my WM 6.5 HTC Imagio. With only an Exchange ActiveSync and Hotmail Push account running, however, does anyone have any clue as to why Messaging/Outlook Mobile would recently begin to launch by itself randomly?
Same here, very strange, I cannot notice a pattern, it just happens sometimes, I'm synced to an EXCHANGE server as well as hotmail
I deleted my Yahoo account and Hotmail Account off the Phone and have not had it happen since. I still sync with my Company Server, but the app does not open by itself, so I am thinking it had something to do with the 5 minute sync for yahoo and/or hotmail accounts.
Just wondering if maybe Verizon or HTC has launched an over-the-air update to supposedly fix something, which has in turn broken email?
I don't know if it'll work, but a hard-reset or flashing back to stock ROM might help. If it does, then I'd sure be contacting HTC or Verizon to let them know their "fix" is systematically breaking phones.
Has anyone inquired as to wether or not any OTA updates have been applied by their carriers?
Has anyone heard of any potential fix to this problem? I recently upgraded my Imagio's ROM to 3.04.605.7 -- it was only after that upgrade that Messaging started to open itself every five minutes when it checks my gmail account. I don't recall any of that happening under the OEM ROM. Any thoughts beyond downgrading to the last version?

Multiple Exchange Accounts

Android 2 should support multiple exchange accounts, however no matter what I try.. I can't add a second exchange account.
Is this feature blocked? or am I doing something wrong? If it is blocked, is there a way around it?
Just got the following reply from the HTC Customer Service (I also asked them about this issue):
"The HTC Legend does not support multiple Exchange accounts."
only way i have managed to do it is have one exchange account and access the other accounts via imap/ pop or mobile owa
I now use Moxier to access my second Exchange account.
Works great.
